“This was our first experience with Rover and therefore our first experience with Sam. We just have to say we could not be more pleased. We were visiting in Hutchinson, KS and our dog Elmer stayed overnight with Sam, his roommate and Trapper, a high energy, playful and very friendly dog. The two dogs meshed well wonderfully and got “lots of exercise” and play time. This was Elmer’s first night away from us as he is a recent adoptee and apparently he didn’t seem to miss us one bit. Sam was great about sending frequent updates and pictures while hosting Elmer which really helped alleviate any concerns we had. About: I've been a volunteer at Caring Hands Humane Society for 4+ years, and in January of 2022 I raised a litter of 6 Pomsky puppies! I have a 4+ year old orange Siberian Husky, and I've grown up with a couple family dogs, so I've always been around animals and want to pursue an animal related career! I'm currently working a part time job, and I would love to take your dog for a walk, play with them, or simply keep them company while you're away! I'm available 9am - 9pm Mon, Wed, Thu, but am somewhat flexible on weekends for house sitting. I have a fenced backyard and 2 energetic Siberian Huskies that are very friendly and play well with new dogs; I take them to the Newton dog park often and they absolutely love it! I can provide a crate for a medium - large dog if needed/requested. My dog sleeps in my room with an open crate so she can sleep in her crate or just on the floor. I have plenty chew toys, everything from tennis balls to rope toys to an assortment of squeakers!

About: Experienced Pet Caretaker: From Puppies' Playtime to Senior Pill Prowess! I have cared for many puppies, as well as our Seniors. I love to play with the puppies, however, I love making sure the seniors get the cuddles and treats they desire! I have a senior in my own home and administer daily pills, multiple times per day. I also have a pitbull puppy who will run herself ragged outside while chasing balls, gardening, and just running around. She also loves hikes and walks! I run my own massage business for in home massage. I am only working three days a week for a few hours at a time. Taking care of the pets is really easy with my schedule! I can carve out as much time as they might need in my day. I aim to keep there routine as normal as possible. I am very flexible in making sure I can do that! I personally feed my own dogs two times per day (morning and night). I have crated my dogs at night for many years, but that is because they love their space. I don't mind having the animals out and about if that is what they prefer! I love to take my own animals on several walks per day, especially with apartment living! We can do anything from short walks to long hikes. I also have had to give my own dogs medications and am no stranger to senior care.

“Veronica provides a safe, cosy place for dogs to stay when they can’t go with their owner, and my dog Bear was treated like family. Bear is almost 14 years old and not interested in playing, but he got along well with Veronica’s gentle dog, who Veronica carefully introduced to him. He likes to be with people, and he was so comfortable with Veronica that he relaxed at my feet when she and I chatted, instead of pulling me out the door. Veronica was very careful to help Bear negotiate around her house, as he doesn’t see well, and she was clever in making sure he could safely go out. About: I grew up in a pet loving family, we always had at least 5 fur babies! I loved having the responsibility of caring for them by myself. I would sometimes bring them over to my neighbors for play dates, I could teach them tricks and play with them all day. I am always home or going for walks, and having a pet by my side always makes my day better. From running around outside to laying on the couch watching a movie having a pet with me always makes it so much more fun! No pet is the same, I adapt to what the pet wants. If it’s an energetic puppy i’ll be energetic if, it’s a relaxed elderly pet i’ll relax with it, they all get the care and environment they will need.
About: I lost my girl in late 2024. Pet sitting for others has really helped my heart to heal. I have always had a dog in my life but I am not yet ready to commit to my next soulmate. I work from home full-time and miss having a shadow with me. Comfortable with meds and needles, as needed. Comfortable with elderly dogs. I work full time from home, so rarely would your pet be alone. I treat your dog like I treated my own. If I run an errand, your dog runs an errand with me (as long as you approve). We might take a walk, we might Netflix and chill, we might swim in the summer, it just depends what your dog “tells” me they wanna do! We have two guinea pigs (who can be separated from other animals if needed). It’s just my husband and I and our teen daughter, who is generally the one our guest dogs sleep with! Fully fenced yard available to use with few steps. Upstairs and downstairs of house but not required to go downstairs if they don’t want to. Crate available, if they are trained or need it. I rarely see the need to use it but require crate trained dogs in case I need it. Common reasons would be during grocery delivery (to prevent escapes while door maybe open), unexpected visitors (if your dog would be uncomfortable, etc.), and such.
About: I have owned 4 dogs and treat each one like family. My little one goes with me about everywhere I go. I love to walk dogs for good exercise. I'm currently working from home so I have my own schedule. Weekends are great too. You're furry friend will have plenty of good loving fun. About: I currently work as a zookeeper and have years of wild and domestic animal experience. Working with wild animals means I have a much deeper understanding of animal husbandry, psychology, and behavior that allows me to provide better care for your pet! I'm especially comfortable around and handling large dogs due to the nature of my job. Overall, this means I try my best to create a safe environment for and trusting bond with any animal I work with via positive reinforcement and never push past an individual's limits.

About: I've been taking care of pets for family, friends, and neighbors for years. I grew up around dogs and have yet to meet one that doesn't like me. Through the years, I've taken care of all types of dogs and cats; from young, crazy pups to old, sick dogs and from ornery mostly outdoor cats to snuggly kitties that want to use me as a bed. My other job is remote, so my schedule is very flexible for whatever your pet may need. Weekends or weekdays doesn't make much of a difference. I'm also a morning person, so early morning walks, feedings, etc are perfectly fine! For boarding, I have one pet friendly roommate and dog. The dog is so cat friendly that she annoys some cats by trying to convince them to play. My yard is fenced, but there is currently a damaged section that has been covered with temporary plastic fencing. The damage will be repaired soon and until then, I don't let anyone out there without supervision. For house sitting or drop-ins, I treat your pets the way I would want mine treated. I also try to match any routines your pet might be used to, if it's eating at a certain time or always being let out at a certain time, just let me know and I'll make sure to keep things as familiar as possible for your furry friends.
About: I have done rescue work for dogs. I actually have two dogs of my own one. I saved from the Humane Society and one I saved for a rescue who is going to be put to sleep for no reason. I am currently not working so I would be home all of the time with them. They would get all the attention in the world. We have a a fenced in backyard that they would be able to run around in and the cats would be kept inside and fed. What food daily if you please. About: I’ve grown up with and taken care of dogs of all kinds! Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, play and check up on their pets! I’m currently in school studying, which gives me a very flexible daytime schedule. I’m available for walks throughout the day and can accommodate a variety of timing needs, including mornings, afternoons and evenings! I have always grown up with animals but currently do not have any pets of my own. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, am reliable, attentive and happy to make sure your pets get plenty of exercise, attention and care while you’re away
“This was our first experience with Rover and therefore our first experience with Sam. We just have to say we could not be more pleased. We were visiting in Hutchinson, KS and our dog Elmer stayed overnight with Sam, his roommate and Trapper, a high energy, playful and very friendly dog. The two dogs meshed well wonderfully and got “lots of exercise” and play time. This was Elmer’s first night away from us as he is a recent adoptee and apparently he didn’t seem to miss us one bit. Sam was great about sending frequent updates and pictures while hosting Elmer which really helped alleviate any concerns we had. We wholeheartedly recommend Sam and would have no reservations about using his services again!”

“AAA+ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! This is the second time Meghan and her family kept our golden retriever, Wilson. We LOVE the care and attention he gets with them. He is still a puppy and, at times, a stinker, and they are very patient and wonderful with him! We get daily text pictures and updates so we can see him playing outside, inside, even on their bed, etc! It makes taking a family vacation easy! :) Last time Wilson stayed with them, he seemed to miss their family and was so excited when we took him back again. A huge thank you to Meghan and her fam for helping us out with our fur baby!!! Trust me, you will love this Dog Vacay family!”
