About: I grew up on a farm with a variety of animals. I’ve hosted many types of foster animals from the Lawrence Humane society. I am comfortable with caring for all types of animals! I work full time as a police officer. However when I am working my boyfriend is home to take care of any animals we are hosting. I am available for walks anytime Saturday, Sunday and Mondays. I can walk pets in the evenings every other day of the week. I have a fenced yard and have two crate trained, pet friendly dogs. About: I come from a farm happy family and managed a doggy daycare, with extensive work in animal rescue. I have dealt with just about any animal you can imagine. Dogs, cats, horses, goats, guinea pigs, fish, snakes, birds, etc. Both of my pets have passed away but I have more love to give. I love animals and am just looking to fill some of my free time and earn a little extra cash. My lab has since passed due to old age in 2019 and I said goodbye to my golden in July 2025. I do work M-F and would be out of the home from roughly 7:15-5:00pm depending on your location, my office is near the state capitol. I work full time for a nonprofit in Topeka, so I am out of the house from 715am-5pm. I love going on walks and being outside before and after work! On the weekends aside from some errands I would be around. I do have the ability to work remotely as needed, so this is an option if your pet(s) need more time and attention. About: Located on 10 acres in rural Hoyt, Kansas, Hughes & Hounds provides a spacious safe haven for your furry family members. Our set-up, previously used for dog breeding, includes two (working on three) spacious backyard pens that are the full package deal, including: big shade trees, big water bowls, a doggie igloo and free doggie treats (if you approve of course!). Please note that our dog daycare and boarding services are OUTDOOR ONLY and really for farm/outside dogs, bigger dogs, or dogs with high energy. We will accept any sized dog as long as they’re used to staying outside during the day! With two young kids in the home, we will only bring your dogs inside if the owner provides a crate and only if requested for night time (with the exception of severe weather where they would be crated indoors as well). I work a few afternoons a week, so I will be able to check on your furry pals often during their week & weekend stays with us. We are flexible and want to make sure your wishes are heard. So if you want us to play with your dogs, send you pictures, give treats - we are here for it. But if your dog prefers to not be bothered too much and is good with the essentials - we are here for that too. You tell us how we can provide the most comfortable atmosphere for your dogs. We were not using our back 3 pens, other than allowing our dogs to roam them. There were some escape artists when the pens were originally used for breeding, so safety features include covered corners so dogs are unable to climb up and out using the corner fencing. Cement was also laid around the boundaries of the pens so digging cannot occur. If your dog likes to jump fences that would be a concern and a reason why we may not be a good fit for you. Of course, plenty of cold, fresh water will always be available to your dog(s) during their stay.

I’m patient with shy or anxious animals and calm in unexpected situations. My schedule is structured by flexible. I have set class, teaching, and research hours each week which makes it easy to plan reliable visits around them. I’m available weekday mornings and evenings and am flexible for midday walks. I treat your home and your pet’s routine exactly as you’d want. Before the first booking, I’ll do a meet and greet to learn your pet’s schedule, feeding amounts, medications and favorite spots. During visits I follow your instructions closely. I keep your home tidy, lock up carefully, and leave everything the way I found it.
About: I’ve worked professionally in animal welfare for two years. I’m a certified pet sitter for both dogs and cats while also being pet first aid and CPR certified as well. I’m also fear free certified. I’ve owned my own dogs and cats for the last 10 years! I currently work part time in animal welfare. I’m able to come to your home Tuesday, Thursday or Friday anytime in the afternoon after 12:30. I can come to your home and walk your dog for fresh air and exercise or I can do a pet visit where I check on your dog/cat! In the comfort of your home I can let a dog out to their yard, feed/water cats or dogs, play time etc
About: I have been dog and cat sitting since middle school, so 8 years now! I live in Oklahoma and go to school in Kansas and do Rover in both for half the year. I have a bigger dog and smaller cat of my own at home, but not in Kansas. I volunteer at the Lawrence Humane Society and love all types of animals! I’m currently in school but am available most hours of everyday. I don’t have many other obligations during the weekdays so I am very flexible with timing! I am willing to work with whatever the owner would like. I am definitely willing to spend the night if necessary and can let out however often you would like.

I have been around them my whole life and wouldn't want it any other way. I come from a large, mostly rural dwelling family, my grandma had 11 kids 2/3 of which have at least 1 or more dog(s) including my mom. I've always had my own and/or lived with roommates/friends/family, that have/had dog(s) in every house I've lived from day 1 to the present. Although I can't say I've taken care of every breed out there (doubt that many people can) I have definitely seen my fair share of mutts and purebreds alike; from Corgis to Chihuahuas, Danes to Dobermans, Lhasa Apsos to Shar Peis, and even a couple of wolves (3/4 mixes) as well as a few rodents, cats, reptiles, arachnid and birds. Big or small I love "em all, but if you forced me to pick a favorite I'd have to go with the affectionate yet intimidating Perro de Presa Canario. In short, if either by choice or necessity you find yourself in need of a caretaker for your 4-legged (or more) companion(s), know that I would be elated for the opportunity and you can be assured that their health and well-being will invariably be at the forefront of my mind in all that I do while they're in my care. About: I’ve always loved animals and enjoy spending time caring for them. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning, administering medication, and giving pets plenty of love and attention . I’m dependable, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs and personality. I do have a full time job. I work from 7am-3pm Tuesday-Saturday and off Sundays and Mondays. My wife works from home so there will always be someone here to take care of any pet needs. I have a cozy three bedroom house with a fenced in back yard. Plenty of room for them to run around and play. I love to go on walks and enjoy the outdoors. If they have any favorite spots to go or favorite toys to play with we'll play. Or any special instructions just let me know. I only take one client at a time, if you have more than one pet that's perfectly fine. I also send text updates pictures and video's of your pets care while your away.
About: I grew up on a farm with a variety of animals. I’ve hosted many types of foster animals from the Lawrence Humane society. I am comfortable with caring for all types of animals! I work full time as a police officer. However when I am working my boyfriend is home to take care of any animals we are hosting. I am available for walks anytime Saturday, Sunday and Mondays. I can walk pets in the evenings every other day of the week. I have a fenced yard and have two crate trained, pet friendly dogs.
