“Terra was amazing! We found her on Rover somewhat last minute after some issues with our other sitter, and I am so glad we did! Terra was so flexible when we had to make some last minute changes to her care schedule due to our kitty, Nickel, coming down with a UTI the morning we were leaving for vacation. Terra proceeded to take such great care of Nickel. She kept us regularly updated about how Nickel was doing, and sent pictures, which were so comforting to see. Nickel was not so sure about taking his meds from a new person, but Terra did a great job working with him and trying different strategies to help him. All-in-all, Terra went above and beyond in so many ways, and we feel so fortunate that our little guy was in her care. We definitely highly recommend, Terra!”
About: I have taken care of pets since I was 13 and house sat since I was 15!! I was also a kennel tech for a year! This included giving medication, bathing, feeding, and just plain old watching the pets! I know CPR for our fury friends too! I have two dogs of my own as well as four cats so I am completely comfortable with a variety. I am a college student working on my masters online while working another job as well. My schedule is pretty straight forward for me so pet care will fit well as long as I keep my calendar balanced. I am comfortable house sitting for both dogs and cats. I am more than capable of crating or letting pets out to potty. I usually keep treats on me anytime I care for a furry friend. When I walk animals, I usually go for 30 minutes to an hour so that they get the excercise needed. I also have bags for when they do their business on a walk.

I have been around them my whole life and wouldn't want it any other way. I come from a large, mostly rural dwelling family, my grandma had 11 kids 2/3 of which have at least 1 or more dog(s) including my mom. I've always had my own and/or lived with roommates/friends/family, that have/had dog(s) in every house I've lived from day 1 to the present. Although I can't say I've taken care of every breed out there (doubt that many people can) I have definitely seen my fair share of mutts and purebreds alike; from Corgis to Chihuahuas, Danes to Dobermans, Lhasa Apsos to Shar Peis, and even a couple of wolves (3/4 mixes) as well as a few rodents, cats, reptiles, arachnid and birds. Big or small I love "em all, but if you forced me to pick a favorite I'd have to go with the affectionate yet intimidating Perro de Presa Canario. For two years, I volunteered at a humane society where I walked and cared for dogs of all kinds. Senior, puppy, sick, I have a lot of experience and I would love to get more! I’m currently working at a golf course near Forest Lake. My schedule for work comes out weekly, so I’m unaware what my weeks look like well in advance. I don’t like to do this, but if your pups are able to be home for about 6-8, then this would be a great fit! About: Hello!! My name is Maisy. I have worked in various different animal related jobs for the last 5 years, I worked at a doggie daycare/boarding facility and I currently am a dog trainer. I have experience with both puppies and elderly dog as well as cats, reptiles, birds, and farm animals. I also am open to limited contact boarding for people reacting dogs and can do crate rotation for dog reactive dogs away from mine. I work in the evenings 4 days a week so I spend the mornings/afternoons out playing with the pups then they take naps in kennels while I’m at work and we play some more when I get home. I also can move my dogs kennels out of the “dog room” and your dog can just stay in there instead of a kennel if they are more comfortable that way. I have 5 dogs that are very active and friendly. I have a fenced in yard the dogs love to run around in and inside we have lots of toys and comfy places to take naps (which will be put up if there are problems). If I’m not at home or at night all dogs will be kenneled for safety.

About: Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m 18 years old and have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with both dogs and cats, and I currently have four dogs of my own, so I’ve always been surrounded by animals. I work at a dog daycare in Lawrence, where I care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always prioritize safety and trust. I keep doors securely closed until the pet is safely leashed or in the yard, depending on the home setup. I follow all family instructions and safety precautions. During walks, I choose the safest route and give my full attention to the pet’s comfort and well-being.
About: I have had dogs since I was born and have taken care of them my entire life! I am a big dog lover and have 25 years of experience raising, feeding, house training, caring for, and loving on my pups (and every dog I encounter!!!) I am currently about to graduate law school in May and then will be studying for the bar exam Monday-Friday full time. So I will be home all-day, everyday during the week with the ability to take dogs on walks, potty breaks, go outside to play, etc. at any point in the day!! I live in an apartment and all of my neighbors have pups to keep your dogs company! There is a fenced-in dog park literally outside my window and I also have a porch that a dog can sit out on! My community is very dog-friendly! I do not have a crate, but if your dog is kennel trained then I can accommodate that if needed! I would prefer the pup to be potty trained and gets along with other dogs also. Other than that, I am pretty flexible as long as the dog is friendly!!
About: I have had dogs my entire life, and currently have a 7.5 year old female redbone coonhound puppy and a 5 year old female mixed breed. I love being around them, teaching them new tricks and commands. I am open from 6a.m to 1p.m. I can take dog (s) to the dog park or on a short ride or walk to get some energy out. I also enjoy having my kids around other dogs to show them different breeds and sizes. I love being around all animals and enjoy the different personalities they show. About: I have always been known to my parents friends and neighbors and the person to call if you need help watching your animal. I’ve been pet sitting dogs specifically for just over 4 years but before that I watched everything from cats, to fish, and hamsters. I’ve dealt with numerous dogs suffering from seizures along with many recovering from surgery’s so I know how to handle almost everything. I’m currently a college student. I have some Morning commitments however I can be home with your pet for most of the day, or stop by at any point during the day to walk or let them out. I have an english golden retriever myself so there is another dog within my house, however he’s very friendly with other dogs. We don’t use a crate in our house and the dogs are allowed on the furniture but I’m happy to follow whatever you prefer for your own animal.
About: I grew up taking care of puppies and rescues with my mom, and then moved into helping at a shelter while I was in college. As a grad student and current renter, I can’t have pets of my own so am glad to have the chance to get some cuddles in with yours. I'm happy to work with dogs of all ages and sizes and follow direction well if you are working with any training techniques. I have a soft spot for older dogs in particular and am also happy to look after any plants. I currently attend KU as a grad student where I teach two days a week and am focused on finishing my thesis this semester. I'm also happy to respect household rules and uphold the boundaries the pets are used to (ie., if they're not allowed on certain furniture). About: I have been lucky enough to take care of my friends' and families' pets for over 15 years. It can be hard on pets when their people are away. I appreciate that, and take extra care in making sure their schedules are kept and they get the love and attention they need to make them feel secure and happy. I often take care of my brother's 11 year old german shepherd, three cats, 6 chickens, and my nephew's beta fish while my brother and his family are away. I have watched many of my friends' dogs and cats (some with medical needs) as well as a sweet blue-cheeked conure. About: I have taken care of dogs within my family, friends of the family. I take daily walks with all 3 of mine each day, make sure to keep track of their health. I enjoy taking dogs places like the park, I have realized a dogs best therapy is being outdoors where they truly can be themselves. I have been around them my whole life and wouldn't want it any other way. I come from a large, mostly rural dwelling family, my grandma had 11 kids 2/3 of which have at least 1 or more dog(s) including my mom. I've always had my own and/or lived with roommates/friends/family, that have/had dog(s) in every house I've lived from day 1 to the present. Although I can't say I've taken care of every breed out there (doubt that many people can) I have definitely seen my fair share of mutts and purebreds alike; from Corgis to Chihuahuas, Danes to Dobermans, Lhasa Apsos to Shar Peis, and even a couple of wolves (3/4 mixes) as well as a few rodents, cats, reptiles, arachnid and birds. Big or small I love "em all, but if you forced me to pick a favorite I'd have to go with the affectionate yet intimidating Perro de Presa Canario. About: In my day job I am a home health/ Hospice assistant so I not only have experience taking care of people I also take care of people's fur babies when they are unable to. I also grew up with dogs so there is not a day that goes by in 25 years I have not taken care of a furry friend I currently work monday through friday 730am to 330 pm so afternoons and weekends are when I am most avaliable, and over nights as needed.
