About: I am someone who loves pets of all types. I have years of experience with multiple types of animals and I love them all. If my pets could talk they would tell you to choose me. My job has multiple stretches of time off for me to care for your pets full time. If for whatever reason I am working on a time you are looking for a sitter I will always let you know my schedule in advance. But for the most part I will always be home. I have a decent yard. However, the yard is not fenced. I have 3 litter boxes in my home that are scooped daily as well as provide privacy. I have 3 cats who are all friendly with each other and love to play. About: Animal love was bred into me. My father grew up on a farm and my mother was a vet tech. I've had animals my entire life. I have been a dog breeder, a volunteer for shelters, I've worked in a pet store, I've helped operate a dog boarding facility for the past 15 1/2 years, and a dog groomer. I am different from others as I specialize in whole pet care, from health and nutrition going in, to calories being burnt off through exercise and play. A tired pet is a well behaved pet. About: I have always had a love for animals, especially dogs. I volunteer with ICAN to care for future service dogs, giving volunteers hosting the puppies a respite. These two-hour sessions involve introducing the puppies to new experiences, noting their reactions to activities, and getting them accustomed to human interaction. Part of the training for the Litter Sitter position requires watching a two-hour instructional video. I also took ICAN’s Foundations Class, which had several online sessions followed by two in-person training nights. This class was not required for the Litter Sitter position. Other activities include Purdue's Senior Boiler Vet Camp, which I attended in the summer of 2024. There I enjoy the exposure to the veterinary medicine field. Lastly, I currently work at a vet clinic as a Kennel Assistant, cleaning rooms and doing laundry to help the clinic run smoothly. I care for the clinic cats, making sure they are fed and keeping their area clean. I also assist the techs when requested. I'm currently working part-time over the summer and am available on most Saturday mornings and afternoons. I also could do some evenings or early mornings. About: I’ve watched many breeds of dogs from Great Danes to Yorkies. I am able to stay at your house for your dog to be more comfortable. I will make sure that your dog(s) are safe and get all of the love that they need. I work full time but I am able to leave for lunch everyday. I am looking for long term and short term. My work allows me to be flexible. I have a fenced yard that would allow the dog to go out by themselves or I can take them out on a leash. I have 2 Greyhounds that are good with other dogs. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child and have always grown up in a very pet friendly household with 2 cats and a dog. My cat I have now is 11 and I’ve had him since he was a kitten and my dog is now 5 who I have also had since she was a puppy. I’ve got experience in dog obedience as well. Friends and family have relied on me to feed, walk, and board their pets in the past. I already take my dog on walks and runs daily and I’m currently very flexible for the next few weeks while on summer vacation as a teacher. I will be able to keep your pet company and give lots of attention in the form of going on walks, throwing the ball, feeding, grooming if necessary, etc. I currently cannot board other pets as I have a cat of my own and don’t want to risk him being stressed or attacked by overly excited dogs!
