“Mary Jane is one of my close colleagues and has always shown a genuine care for her animals. This made me comfortable enough to ask her to watch my 9 year old Shih Zu/Lhasa Apso mix. I needed someone to watch him while I was out of town for class and a job interview. Mary Jane happily accepted my request, even opening her schedule to days she originally did not have availability. She followed all my directions for the keeping and care of Max. She sent me daily updates and pictures which helped me feel that Max was safe and happy. Her home is set up perfectly, allowing Max to have his own private room if he wanted. But luckily he enjoyed the company of her loving cats and dogs. When I came to pick up Max you could tell he was well cared for. He was in no rush to leave! With that said I am comfortable leaving Max with Mary Jane any time now. About: I own a King Charles Cavalier and a German Shepherd currently! I grew up on a farm in southern Indiana with multiple foster and adopted animals! My mother instilled a serious love and adoration for people and their favorite pets. I volunteered at our local animal shelter, was trained in multiple animal science courses, and was taught to love and respect the animals I work with, both domesticated and exotic. I have handled dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, foxes, raccoons, bobcats, farm livestock, petting zoo animals, and more. I love them and have tons of professional experience to give your fur-baby the best experience possible. Please feel free to message or call whenever needed and I am more then happy to accommodate ANYTHING you or your sweet pet needs. I have lots of time on my hands, currently we start our mornings with a good meal and a long walk along our neighborhood. We will head to the house for a quick nap or so that our older dogs and puppies can rest. We then head to either the local state park or a dog park for some new stimulation. When we return home, we have some free time with toys and puzzles, enjoy another good meal, take another long, walk around the neighborhood, and then cuddle on the couch or in the beds until bedtime. I was very apprehensive, as we'd never used Rover or boarded our dog before, but Sarah and her family made me feel very at ease and were so extremely understanding when we were hours late picking him up due to weather as we were traveling back from our out of state trip. About: While in college my roommate had a cat. He neglected his cat, he wouldn't change his litter box, and would spray him with a water bottle whenever he did something "naughty". I spent one year in a vet tech program so i know the basics of animal medicine, 6 months taking care of the marine mammals at Shedd Aquarium, and I also have a bachelor's degree in Zoology. We adopted our baby from the humane society at 3 months old and worked through potty training, leash training, and command training. I have a nice sized yard, however, it is not fenced in so if your fur baby likes to run off from time to time we may not be a good fit. And our Vega girl enjoys running and playing with other doggos so your pup will get plenty of love and exercise! We do have 11 chickens who stay in their coop (we do let them free range from time to time, but they will be kept in their coop while you pup stays with us). About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have had experience with pups of all walks of life. As I got older, my friends got cats and I love a good kitty snuggle. I’m the friend that checks on the animals when you have to go out or hit up vacation! I work full time but work from home partially through the week! About: I've never worked for a company like Rover but I've watched many people's pets, mainly friends of the family. My household has two dogs and 3 cats, two of the cats are kittens. I like small dogs but big dogs are my absolute favorite. I personally have a great dane who is a dork and I love him so much. About: I have worked in the pet industry for 10 years. I have done everything from cleaning kennels, to working as a vet assistant in a clinic. I also have experience with farm and exotic animals. I currently have three dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with daily routines like feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and making sure every pup gets the attention they deserve. I also regularly care for family members’ dogs while they’re away on vacation, giving me experience keeping pets comfortable in their own homes and sticking to their normal routines. Whether your dog is energetic and loves to play or prefers a slower pace and extra cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. About: Hi I’m Carlie! I have had animals my entire life, and dogs have always held a special place in my heart. My family has rescued 3 over the years and I recently rescued my own precious baby Avalon! (Although she definitely rescued me!) I have tons of experience caring for animals and it is something I’m very passionate about! I love taking my dogs to the dog park! I love going on hikes and walks with them as well! There’s also a box full of tennis balls I have stored for all the fetch we could ever play! :) I have great knowledge on feeding and caring for dogs in whatever way you may need! About: Ive had my own Doggy Babies and taken care of doggies for 20 years!! Friends and family have relied on me to walk, bathe, sit overnight and care for their pets. About: I grew up around a lot of big dogs so I think i have a better time reading the dog and knowing what it needs and when. I am currently self employed so i can fit in my walks into my schedule how I like. That way if you need to change the time i can be very flexible. If I have to go into work or leave the house, I have comfy dog beds, toys, and peanut butter Kongs to keep your fur baby cozy and happy until I return. If your pet prefers to be kenneled, I can provide a small or large kennel. Pet cameras are also installed in the house to give you the extra peace of mind that your dog is monitored even when I am away. Our home is on a quiet gravel road that borders the forest, so your pet can enjoy some tranquility while being entertained by wildlife. I have a fenced yard with two friendly dogs to keep your pet company. Both dogs have had years of experience with foster dogs in our home and being around other animals in the veterinary clinic.
