“This was our dogs' first stay with anyone new. They were both anxious & kept peeing & pooping in Surama's home because of it, even though she was taking them out very often. Surama was very patient with them & made their stay a good one regardless. We didn't anticipate this issue & felt terrible about her having to deal with cleaning so many messes. I appreciated that she was open & honest about what was happening, while assuring me it was fine & in no way causing us to feel worse about it. About: I have had my own pets, cats and dogs, since I was very young and I have watched my family and friends animals for about 2 years now. They can rely on me to care for their animals when they are away from home for short or long periods of time. I take caring for others animals very seriously, and having a dog, cat, 2 kittens, and 2 barn cats, I understand how crucial it is to care for every animal like your own. I graduated college in May 2026 and I am attending grad school starting Septemebr 2026. Between May and September I have full availability to care for pets, with no other commitments at this time. I have a big yard at my home, in the country where my dog roams. I always watch her because we do not have a fence, but sometimes we put her on a long leash to where she can run just as far as we would like. I am comfortable with leashing dogs. I have a cat that I adopted from the shelter as well. She was pregnant unexpectedly when I got her, so I helped her through prengancy, give birth, and now I have cared for the kittens as they are growing up and weaning off of their mom. I can also put the animal in a kennel if needed. Whatever is needed, I can make it possible!
About: I have grown up with all kinds of animals from a very young age. I’ve always thought that I liked spending time with animals more than people. And have always had a love for them. :) I work a part-time job that feels full time but that’s because I work with the public, however I’m trying to switch to something more flexible. About: Have taken care of animals most of my life. I usually babysit/check on animals and let them out for our neighbors dogs before we moved from Indiana to Wickenburg. I currently do not have a full time job. My husband is usually gone for work during the day so I am home all day. We do not have a fenced in yard, but can take them out with a leash. About: I have taken care of dogs since middle school. I love dogs and have two on my own - a Dalmatian and a Basset Hound. My family is very active and we walk the doggies daily! About: I have taken care of my parents senior dog in my home while they were out of town. Helped a former coworker with her dog, also in my home, while she was out of town. I have helped a friend of mine with their senior dog + 4 cats in their home as drop in visits while they were out of town. Since starting Rover, I have had multiple in home stays with dogs, and homes that have both dogs and cats. I work full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. My morning routine includes leaving the house by 7:00 AM to take my child to daycare or school. Before departing, all pets in my care are taken outside, fed, and provided with any necessary medications. Depending on the proximity of your home, I may be available to stop by during my lunch break to check on and care for your pet. After work, I pick up my child from daycare and can typically arrive at your home around 5:00 PM. Upon arrival, dogs will be taken outside promptly and fed as needed. I follow each pet’s individual feeding schedule, ensure they always have access to fresh water, and administer any required medications as directed. About: I have a huge passion for animals, as I’m an animal sciences major at Purdue (with the goals of pursuing veterinary school)! I’ve worked with cats, dogs, exotics, zoo animals, pigs, cows, horses, the works! I’ve recently lost my only dog of 15 years, and this experience was very hard on me and my mental health. Therefore, I joined Rover as a dog walker and house-sitter to try something new and bring that same passion for others and their pets! About: Growing up on a farm, I’ve loved being around and tending to animals since I was a little girl. I had dogs and cats my whole life (except for right now) and have loved learning to meet their needs! I am a part-time social worker at a local non-profit organization. I am also beginning online grad school to become a therapist. With both of these commitments, I primarily work from home. My weeks are pretty flexible! I live in a home with a fenced backyard and room for pets to play and be active! I currently have no permanent pets here. I am eager to travel to homes to provide company, activity, and care to pets!
