Heather was good about sending us a message and even a video showing her limp so we were aware. When we got back into town, we picked our dogs up 1 night early so we could see what was going on. They were very informative and even followed up with us to see how she was doing. Their family is very welcoming and they had nothing but good things to say about our dogs during their stay. I love that our dogs got to stay in someone’s home with other dogs and kids. It helps ease my mind that our dogs got attention just as they would in our own home. About: I have dog sat since high school and have always had a positive experience with it. Your babies will be loved on and cared for like they are mine. I have a dog and a cat who are spoiled! Your animals will be cared for so you don’t have to worry while you are off, because I am just as protective over my own! I worked at a K-9 training facility so I am very experienced with taking care of animals and cleaning up after them. I also worked at a grooming company for an internship and got to experience bathing, brushing and combing dogs! I also have experience with cats, as I just got one myself. About: Animal love was bred into me. My father grew up on a farm and my mother was a vet tech. I've had animals my entire life. I have been a dog breeder, a volunteer for shelters, I've worked in a pet store, I've helped operate a dog boarding facility for the past 15 1/2 years, and a dog groomer. About: I have always had a love for animals, especially dogs. I volunteer with ICAN to care for future service dogs, giving volunteers hosting the puppies a respite. These two-hour sessions involve introducing the puppies to new experiences, noting their reactions to activities, and getting them accustomed to human interaction. Part of the training for the Litter Sitter position requires watching a two-hour instructional video. I also took ICAN’s Foundations Class, which had several online sessions followed by two in-person training nights. This class was not required for the Litter Sitter position. Other activities include Purdue's Senior Boiler Vet Camp, which I attended in the summer of 2024. There I enjoy the exposure to the veterinary medicine field. Lastly, I currently work at a vet clinic as a Kennel Assistant, cleaning rooms and doing laundry to help the clinic run smoothly. I care for the clinic cats, making sure they are fed and keeping their area clean. I also assist the techs when requested. I'm currently working part-time over the summer and am available on most Saturday mornings and afternoons. I also could do some evenings or early mornings. I am a very hard-working person and make it my mission in life to accomplish all things to the best of my ability for God’s glory. I tend to be on the quieter side, so I am an attentive listener and will follow clients' instructions for pet care in their home.
About: I’ve watched many breeds of dogs from Great Danes to Yorkies. I am able to stay at your house for your dog to be more comfortable. I will make sure that your dog(s) are safe and get all of the love that they need. I work full time but I am able to leave for lunch everyday. I am looking for long term and short term. My work allows me to be flexible. I have a fenced yard that would allow the dog to go out by themselves or I can take them out on a leash. I have 2 Greyhounds that are good with other dogs. Everyone in my household would give the dogs lots of love.
About: I am a 19 year old, currently a stay at home doggie mom. I was previously a Kennel Technician for 3 years at a Training, Boarding, and Grooming facility. Heather was good about sending us a message and even a video showing her limp so we were aware. When we got back into town, we picked our dogs up 1 night early so we could see what was going on. They were very informative and even followed up with us to see how she was doing. Their family is very welcoming and they had nothing but good things to say about our dogs during their stay. I love that our dogs got to stay in someone’s home with other dogs and kids. It helps ease my mind that our dogs got attention just as they would in our own home. About: I have had over 30 years around pets. People trust me with their pets and love the care and attention that I give their pets. I substitute teach and also work part-time. I am mostly around late afternoons and on the weekends. As a fitness person, taking dogs when owner likes dogs to exercise is my favorite time with the pet. I keep the space open for the pets and also have toys for them to keep active and entertained. I also play with them often so they are well cared for.
