“I brought my cat over there. Mary accepted my cat on just about no notice and kept him safe for 3 days. Mary was also very proactive in sending me photos to my phone. This was a nice gesture to keep my mind at ease that my cat was safe and it was also nice just receiving cute photos of my cat from time to time. Some of the photos included my cat bathing in the sun, resting on her couch, and pretty much just enjoying a little vacation. When I came to pick up my pet, she gave me the run down on his behavior and was also very kind enough to allow me to run around her house, move furniture, and to fetch my cat. If you have a pet, you can rest assure knowing Mary can take care of him while you are away. I cannot thank you enough. Will be seeing her in the event my cat needs another hotel. :)”

About: I’ve watched cats since I was 9 years old. I lived in an apartment complex so I’d take care of all the neighbors cats. One of the cats I currently own takes a daily medication and is a fighter against it so I know how to wrangle a cat to administer medication, but I believe in a fear free approach! I am not scared of being clawed or bit at all, but will do all I can to avoid it! My goal is to keep your kitty happy and healthy! I have no problem cleaning litter boxes, accidents or hair balls as I have four cats of my own.

About: I began professionally caring for animals 10 years ago when I got a job at PetSmart as a Pet Care associate! From there, I became a kennel technician at one of the top rated veterinary clinics in Cincinnati, Animal Care Center, and after a year of working there as a kennel technician they trained me to be a veterinary technician. I then had my first son and stayed home with him and had a farm with pigs, chickens, and all kinds of wonderful animals! When I decided to rejoin the work force, of course I went back to what I love most, caring for animals. I worked at two different kennels full time and helped manage one of them. I am able to give medications to pets and I’m comfortable giving insulin shots. If you’re interested in drop-ins for medication only while you’re at work or out, I can do that! I’m available any time, just discuss with me what would work best for you. During overnight stays, I will fill out a report to return to you so you will have complete details of how your pet was while you’re away! I’m also willing to FaceTime and send pictures so you know that your pet is safe and sound. Housemates would be my loving and gentle 5 year old son and my fiancé. I have a small chihuahua myself who is very friendly with all other pets. Since I do have children, any pets staying at my home must be child friendly. I’m always available whenever you need me. I’m a stay at home mom, so I’m very flexible with my schedule. Short notice or planning months in advance? I’m here! I have two children who love pets and give them plenty of friendly attention. I also have a chihuahua who gets along with other dogs but is convinced she’s truly a cat so she doesn’t play much! Pets remain leashed at all times during walks and get walked multiple times a day during pet-sitting.

Karen was very knowledgeable, and Curtis seemed drawn to her right away, which pretty quickly helped to put us more at ease. Karen was great with Curtis and sent us several fun and cute updates throughout the day about snuggling, playing piano for him, and his unexpectedly strong attachment to her husband Jim. When we picked him up at the end of each day, Curtis seemed happy and confident, which indicated that he had a lot of fun hanging out with Karen (& Jim), and we always stayed an extra 15 minutes to chat. Her house was kind of a drive from where we were staying in downtown Cincinnati, but Karen was well-worth the drive. About: I’ve been involved with dog rescue for many years. I worked with virtually every type of dog there is. From shy, timid to very high energy. I’ve had dogs that had aggression issues. I worked with dogs on leash training, housebreaking, and socialization. I am retired. I have nothing but time on my hands! I volunteer Thursday mornings at an equine therapy barn. But I will still have time to take care of animals on Thursdays. I am open to caring for dogs in my home. But! They have to be dog and cat friendly. I would prefer not to have younger dogs, only because my dogs are older and don’t like young dogs, jumping all over them. My dogs are very dog friendly though. My cats are very dog friendly. In fact, they prefer dogs over our cats!

Currently I’m unemployed due to having brain surgery at the end of 24’ and then the follow up treatments taking most of 25’. So I have lotsa time, attention, and love to give your pet(s). This is actually my attempt at getting back into the working world. Can’t imagine a much better way to ease back into work than to help some people out with their pet care needs. I have a park walking distance from my house that I can take dogs to run around and use the bathroom and I live in a good area for walks. I am well versed on typical dog etiquette in public around other people and animals. I have experience with all types of dogs large and small. I’m a big guy and can handle the larger breeds pretty well usually, but also caring for the little ones as well. I always prioritize the pet(s) health and safety first, and then having some fun second :). I would love to provide a safe and relaxing spot for your pet(s). Also FYI - for boardings if pickup on the last day is after noon I will ask for a day fee of $35. So I’m available all days of the week, and have all my time, attention and love to give your pet(s). I’m very experienced with dogs of all types large, small, u name it. I’m a big guy at 6’4” and about 225 lbs so I can handle em all. I’m also rather calm and quiet which I believe helps animals feel at ease around me. I’d take care of yours as if they were my own! :) I take as much precaution as I can with all animals certainly someone else’s. The animals safety and health are my number one concern when caring for someone’s loved pet(s).

My day pretty much revolves around dogs — and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Since I work from home most of the week, I’m able to keep a flexible schedule full of walks, playtime, and cuddles. My own pups keep me active and in a great routine, so adding another furry friend into the mix feels natural. Even on my in-office days, I make sure every dog gets the attention and consistency they’re used to. I care for every dog as if they were my own. At my home, pups are part of the family — they can lounge, play, and get lots of attention throughout the day. I make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe, and I always supervise outdoor time. When I’m watching pets in their own home, I do my best to keep everything just how they like it. I stick to their regular routine, give them lots of love, and keep you in the loop with updates and pictures so you never have to wonder how they’re doing.
About: I grew up helping my parents take care of 5 dogs at a time (9 dogs in total). I also took in a kitten 6 years ago. Together I am well rounded to help with most sizes and breeds of pets. I am a nurse so my work schedule is sometimes wonky. I only work 3 days a week though, so just message me and we can work out a schedule together! I am more than willing to take your fur baby on a walk, can come over and care for them per owner request, can bring back to my place and care for if needed. I live in OTR so I have plenty of places to walk and parks to go to.

About: Hello! I have been a vet assistant for three years and worked at a dog daycare for three years. I have plenty of experience walking and taking care of the tiniest cats to the biggest dogs. I have experience with exotics as well. I absolutely love being around animals because they always brighten my day. I have had dogs my entire life, so I am comfortable around any dog. I would love to help take care of your animals! I’ll even add in bonus belly scratches and plenty of treats! I work full time as a vet assistant, but typically have a couple of days off throughout the week. I am hoping to take care of animals on the days I am available. About: I have had pets for my whole life. Most of my friends called my house a "zoo" growing up because of the wide range of animals we had around the house, from puppies to snakes to pigs- we had it all. When caring for another animal, I treat it like it were my own. I always saw my pets as an extension of my own family and want to treat all animals the same way. I am currently home from college right now, so I am flexible. I have 3 pets of my own who I take care of, other than that I am free. It depends on the pet and their individual needs. I have a dog, but he is extremely active and loves being outdoors, so letting him out every hour or couple minutes is important for him. Whereas, another dog may not enjoy. being outside as much or have certain medical needs that prevents them from running. I love cuddling up on the couch with my pets (dog and two cats), and giving them affection. I also enjoy spending time with them by getting them active and playing their favorite games/ toys.
