As I grew older I would stay at family or friend's homes if they went out of town. I'm in search of a similar situation in South Bend - dog walking and light housework included! Weekdays I can stop in and let the dog(s) out for bathroom breaks. On weekends/evenings I can stay at your home so that the dog is familiar and will make myself available 100% during that time. If your dog is coming over to my home, I have a large, clear fenced in yard where my 11.5 month old Irish Setter has plenty of room to get her energy out daily so you can feel comfortable that your dogs would have ample space to wear themselves out and a super-friendly (and gentle) playmate to help in that endeavor. Afterwards I have a spare XL hard plastic crate if they need time and space to rest or if they are spending the night, along with plenty of fuzzy blankets and toys they can snuggle up with. About: New to Rover.com but 10+ years of fostering over 400 babies for local shelters. They were all spoiled by the time they were ready for adoption. (No apologies for that 🙃) Your pet will be well cared for/spoiled while they visit! I can take two dogs, for the safety of your pet(s) and mine, only if they are from the same household. About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life. I’ve potty trained them, taught them how to walk with a leash, taught them tricks like sit stay and say your prayers, and too many to say. I will spoil your fur babies like I do mine. You would never have any worries while you’re away they will be in good hands. I love and enjoy being around dogs and or cats. I’d send you videos and or pictures of your fur baby. Some owners have their fur babies on a schedule if so I will do the same. if there is a park nearby I’d probably take them there. But first I would ask the owner what they would like me to do sense it is their pet. I'm retired so I'm flexible. My routine is the fur babies routine. I'd like to keep it that way for them, so I would need to know. I have a fenced in yard, not big for big dogs tho. They will be fed, played with and cuddled. If they need to be caged I have a large one for their comfort.

About: I worked as a pet-sitter in the Goshen area during college. I have experience with older dogs and multi-pet households. I’m happy to keep as close to your regular schedule as possible. I’ve just graduated from UND with my MFA and I am looking for a little extra income as I adjust to life post graduate school. “Kyle took care of our dog for an entire month while we were away on a trip, and he did an absolutely fantastic job. Our dog has separation anxiety and needs a lot of attention, but Kyle went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable. He gave her plenty of love and treats - she was clearly happy and well cared for in his home. His house has a spacious, fenced backyard where the dogs can run and play freely. We had a previous bad experience of our dog being in a Pet Hotel (which by the way was twice as expensive as Rovers), as she was very sick and unhappy when we took her back. However, with Kyle it was different, as she was as happy and healthy as she is with us when we took her back. We are so grateful for Kyle’s care and will definitely reach out to him for any future trips. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a responsible and caring pet sitter!”
About: I have a Belgian Malanois who’s name is Beau. He is an Extremely passionate and caring dog with a high drive to learn. I have put In the time and effort to train and build our relationship as a family. I also have a Golden retriever and she couldn’t care less about anything other than love haha. I have a full time job, which ends at 2:00pm. From 2:00pm until bed I spend with my dog whether it be training, or walking. I spend a minimum of 2 hours a day training with Beau. I believe that your dog can fit right in and be in a comfortable, safe, home away from home. I do not have a fenced in yard yet but I’m outside every time my pups go out. If need be, I have leashes I can use to let your pup outside as well.
