“Brittany was super nice and took very good care of Dobby for us while we were away. She sent us pics to keep us updated on how he was doing. He was happy to see us when we picked him up, but also tried to go back in with her when we left to go home so I'd say that speaks for itself.”

“Wow, what an incredible family! I believe we hit the jackpot by connecting with these amazing dog sitters. It is obvious how much they love animals. Our miniature poodle, Leo, was treated like royalty at their beautiful home. And it was so wonderful to see how excited their young daughters were to spend the day with Leo. We even sent a request last minute and needed them to watch him longer than planned, and they were so accommodating and kind. It was truly an amazing experience!”

“The moment I met Jessica, I knew our 17 1/2 year old senior and our 6 month old large puppy were in good hands. Meeting her for the first time was like seeing a good friend you haven’t seen in a while! She’s a very welcoming and caring person. She took great care of our dogs and they even got to see her goats and chickens for the first time! She also maintained communication and sent photos of our happy dogs on a daily basis. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter that goes the extra mile. I’m looking forward to booking with Jessica again in the future.”

“The most amazing sitter ever! Alana was flexible with the dates and able to change last minute. She took such good care of my dog, sent pictures all the time, and updated me with everything. He was so so happy staying with her & had the best time! Can not say how much I recommend Alana!!”
“Surama took great care of my dogs while I was away on a family vacation. Poppy and Rem came home tired and happy! She was flexible with pickup times when my flight home got delayed. I'll be booking with Surama again in the future! You can't beat tired and happy dogs!”

My job is very flexible and I have a lot of extra time during the day to spend time with the doggies! I have had dogs all my life! I love dogs and I spend a lot of time outdoors with the doggies! I make sure the doggies get at least one walk a day but more often than not they get walked twice daily.
“Marissa and her husband were so great with our high-energy pups! Her dog Dewey is sweet and playful with other dogs, and they came home exhausted. They had a clean, safe home and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“I’ve used a lot of sitters here on Rover, and Jason is the best by a long shot! His love for animals shows in how well he takes care of them; my anxious girl LOVES Jason and knows she’s going to have a fun day every time she sees him. He’s a great communicator, and will always act in the best interest of your pet. Not to mention, I’ve gotten some of the best quality photos of my pretty girl from Jason!”

“Hojoo and her family were so sweet! I am so glad I chose them. Her profile was exactly what I needed for my fur baby for a quick business trip. She treated Tito like family and he didn’t want to leave! So happy to have him make new friends!”

“Samantha was great! She picked up & dropped off my dog, kept me updated throughout the stay, and even reached out to ask how to comfort him when he was crying. I really appreciated how caring and attentive she was. I'd definitely recommend her”

“I always get so nervous and guilty leaving my dog behind when I am out of town but Odalys made it so easy. I got tons of pics and was very comfortable knowing my dog was in great hands. She is extremely professional and responsive. I definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve grown up in a home full of dogs, there’s never been a time we didn’t have at least two. Since I was 10, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, and over the years, friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and care for their dogs like my own. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. I’m especially comfortable caring for older or sick dogs, including giving oral medications and providing gentle, patient support when they need it most. I know how much your dog means to you—because I feel the same way about mine. I’m a student at Purdue University studying food science. However, I have a flexible schedule and lots of free time. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m here to give your dog the love and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. During drop-in visits or walks, I make sure your dog feels secure, happy, and well cared for in their own familiar space. I follow any instructions you provide closely whether that’s feeding, medications, or routines so your dog stays comfortable and stress-free. I also send photo updates so you can see how your baby is doing while you’re away!

“Lucas proved to be an excellent choice for keeping my playful dog for a week. He's caring, responsible, friendly and very good at keeping the doggo happy. I was impressed by how good he handled everything, even keeping me updated on how she was with adorable photos. I'll definitely be giving Lucas a shout next time I'm in Decatur with Bosco.”

“Paul took care of my pitty at a seconds notice. I needed a sitter for he quick and Paul was able to help. Him and his wife were very nice and made my pup feel very comfortable he didn't even bark at them. Once I picked him up Paul even gave me some tips on how to help with his separation anxiety, very happy with the process”

About: I’ve taken care of my cat and friend’s cats for 10+ years and consider them my best friend. I care for their needs and pay attention to what is best for them in every moment. I am very comfortable around reserved or wild cats and am very reliable.

“Beth was terrific as always. Was very quick to complete all necessary tasks while also spending ample time giving our kittos love and attention. Beth even brought in some packages that were delivered to our door while we were out of town! Could not recommend Beth more!”

“I hired Elise for drop-in visits when my current pet sitter wasn't available at a certain time for my vacation. Elise quickly got back to me and found a way to make it work. She was an absolute lifesaver! I have a special-needs diabetic cat, and Elise immediately put me at ease. She took extra time to prepare beforehand, asked questions, and welcomed me walking her through our routine on day one. She was incredibly sweet, gentle, and comfortable handling Cheeto’s insulin injections, blood glucose meter, and liquid oral medication. She followed every detailed care instruction, including monitoring blood glucose safety thresholds before administering insulin and using appetite toppers when needed. She never rushed her visits, spent quality time sitting with Cheeto, and left detailed, reassuring visit notes. She even thoughtfully returned Cheeto’s care guide at the end. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience on Rover. Thank you, Elise! :)”

“Gabrielle was amazing! She communicated thoroughly and made sure our cat Mimi was in good hands. She sent great photos and asked us questions to make sure Mimi had as little change from her normal routine as possible.”

“Wow!!! First time using Rover. It was very easy. But this review is for Emily and her fiancé. I took my cat Fluffy over for a meet and greet. Before we even met Emily and her fiance, a customer of theirs told us out side that we are going to Love them, they are great! Fluffy warmed up to Emily very quickly. Before leaving that day I was convinced Emily was the best decision for Fluffy. While away she sends updates and pictures. Very informative and responsive. I had no worries at all. I can't say enough good about this family. I know they are loving and kind. I feel like they treat each pet as their own. You will not be disappointed!! I have commercial auto insurance coverage for your pet in my care. And I have uploaded a copy of my PetCare Insurance in my photos that covers potential incidents in your home, my home and in the park. I’ve given medication’s. I will follow your instructions to the letter and I don’t have an opinion. I have a lot of free time while I’m working on a book and don’t really need the money. I just would love the experience. I can take your dog to the park, around the neighborhood, for a drive or just stand in the yard. It’s all up to you. I will follow your instructions without opinion.
“Jo and Jess are great dog sitters! They watched my small dog, Coconut, for one day of daycare and I plan on utilizing their services again. Jo is clearly great with dogs; my pup warmed up to her almost instantly and their personal dog, Ruby, is exceptionally well-trained and friendly with both people and other dogs. I would definitely recommend Jo and Jess!”

“Serene looked after Coco for the whole day and I’m glad it was her as she showed that she truly cared for him. She gave me an update throughout the day too. Wouldn’t ask for a better dog sitter!”

About: Ever since I was a little girl we have always had a dog in the house so, when I turned 18 I adopted one of my own but after 16 1/2 years of loving her, I had to say good bye. Thus, sparked my motivation to help others care for and love their pet(s) when they’re in need. I have experience with puppys, potty training, leash & clicker training among other things! I love to execute play time and know the importance of expending energy. The dogs I have trained are very well mannered and learn to behave well around people and other pets & listen to commands. My friends rely on me often to dog-sit and I’ll often care for & hang out with their pets while they’re at work or out of town. I have experience administering medicine and taking care of them when they’re sick or recovering from surgery as well. I work from home and this leaves me with plenty of time to take care of your pet and expend their energy with play time and walks. Please let me know if there are any commands or tricks you are working on so that I can do the same. I am available for boarding and house-sitting during the week and during weekends. I do not currently have any pets so my attention will be focused on yours solely! Living so close to Sloans lake and various dog parks means that your pup(s) are getting great exercise and outdoor time (unless it’s too hot or cold for them). When it is too warm to be outside for too long I am making sure your pet(s) are staying hydrated and we stay active inside playing fetch, tug, and other fun games!

About: I have taken care of dogs since middle school. I love dogs and have two on my own - a Dalmatian and a Basset Hound. My family is very active and we walk the doggies daily!

About: I have taken care of my parents senior dog in my home while they were out of town. Helped a former coworker with her dog, also in my home, while she was out of town. I have helped a friend of mine with their senior dog + 4 cats in their home as drop in visits while they were out of town. Since starting Rover, I have had multiple in home stays with dogs, and homes that have both dogs and cats. I work full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. My morning routine includes leaving the house by 7:00 AM to take my child to daycare or school. Before departing, all pets in my care are taken outside, fed, and provided with any necessary medications. Depending on the proximity of your home, I may be available to stop by during my lunch break to check on and care for your pet. After work, I pick up my child from daycare and can typically arrive at your home around 5:00 PM. Upon arrival, dogs will be taken outside promptly and fed as needed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss specific care needs or scheduling. I care for pets with the same level of attention and compassion as I do my own. I follow each pet’s individual feeding schedule, ensure they always have access to fresh water, and administer any required medications as directed. Dogs are taken outside regularly for bathroom breaks and exercise, and I make time to play and engage with them to keep them happy and active. For cats, I maintain clean litter boxes in addition to providing consistent feeding, fresh water, and attentive care. I also enjoy offering treats when permitted; my daughter especially loves helping to give treats, making it a fun and positive experience for your pet.
About: I’ve worked in vet med for 5 years now and I’m a third-year veterinary student. This makes me well prepared to spot and respond to any emergencies your baby may have! I have a cat named Horton and a dog named Reno that crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago </3 I’m currently in the area on a veterinary externship (what I do when I’m not taking classes), so I have time in the early morning and evenings to care for somebody’s babies that may need it. I care for the babies by making sure they’re fed and feeling well when I see them. I will also just sit and watch from a distance if they’re the kind that don’t prefer a human’s company. Also, I pet them and tell them just how beautiful they are every 10 minutes in the midst of me taking hundreds of pics for the client.
“This was our first time leaving our boxer with anyone. Derrick was great. We felt like he treated our dog like his own. Appreciated the pictures he sent when he took her for a walk. His house is set up so the pets he’s watching have their own room with a bed and couch. We really appreciated that she wasn’t out in a kennel. We will definitely use Derrick again.”

“We left our Nellie in the very capable hands of Alyssa while we were on vacation. Alyssa sent multiple daily updates and was so attentive to Nellie and her cautious disposition. We can’t thank Alyssa and her family enough for caring for our girl!”
