“If I could give 10 stars I would. We had a wedding to go to in Hawaii, and the family members who would normally watch our pets for us were going too. I was worried about leaving my 2 dogs and cat for 2 weeks, especially with the 6 hour time difference and being so far from home. I wasn't so much worried about the dogs, but my cat is almost 18 years old. After the meet and greet with Kristen all my fears were put to rest. You can tell she has experience with pet sitting and that she truly cares about your pets. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my pets were in safe hands. My cat is relatively healthy for his age, but is on a couple of medications, and Kristen was able to give him his meds while he stayed with her. She regularly sent me pictures of my pets, with up-dates on how they were doing, and I could see that they were having a great time. The dogs loved lounging in her sunroom and spending time in her fenced in back yard. And my cat had a big cat condo that he loved napping on. I could not be more pleased with this booking, and I would trust Kristen again in a heartbeat to watch my pets. Highly recommend!”

I previously had a small blind incontinent senior terrier who has since gone over the rainbow bridge, so I understand the extra patience and attention required to make them feel comfortable. After raising him, it's safe to say that I'm comfortable with puppy routines, basic obedience training, and how to handle a wide range of temperaments and needs. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, an active adult, or a gentle senior, I will provide the best and reliable care while you are away. I am currently homebound so your fur baby will have my full undivided attention! I recently lost my senior baby so having a temporary walking companion would be great therapy! In my home, your dog will be family. I follow each dog's routine, including feedings times/medications, and any special care instructions provided by the owner. I keep leashes and harnesses ready by the door so dogs are always secured before any potty breaks or walk. If a dog wants to just sunbathe outside, I also have a stake and tie out, so no fence, no problem! To help prevent accidents, stairs and basement access are blocked off at all times, and rooms remain closed. All interactions between dogs will be supervised and there will never be any forced introductions. If a dog needs time to decompress or prefers their own space, I have multiple safe options available, including an end-table crate in the main living area so they can remain close by while I relax, a standard metal crate, and a dedicated quiet room for dogs that may become overwhelmed or simply need a break.

During summers we are available at all waking hours of any days we’re not on a family vacation. During the school year we lose family pet minders during the school day but are available after school and on weekends. I keep my Rover calendar up to date and always communicate clearly about my availability so pet parents know exactly when I’m free. Most weeks, I’m available for morning or evening walks, drop-in visits, and weekends I’m very open. I’m always happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pet is cared for when you need it. Safety and trust are at the heart of how I care for every pet. Whether I’m visiting your home or welcoming your pet into mine, I make sure they feel secure, comfortable, and cared for at all times. When pets stay with me, they’ll be in a clean, calm environment where they can relax and be themselves. I don’t have other pets, and I never leave pets unattended for long periods. I follow your care instructions closely and I send regular updates so you always know how they’re doing. When walking or visiting pets in your home, I take the same care: checking gates, leashes, and surroundings to keep everything safe. I treat every animal with patience and respect, and I know how important it is to earn both your trust and your pet’s.
About: I’ve had experience caring for horses, cats, and dogs. I have nursed many cats back to health in my youth on the farm. I have trained my two puppies and am happy to help in any way possible. I do have experience with diabetes and insulin injections. Senior care with blindness, deafness, and senility is something I’ve very familiar with as well. About: I grew up around untrained dogs, not afraid of any animal. I had two cats of my own and raised them from kittens so I’m great with cats!! I am nice and patient and have never been one for caging in animals unless it’s to travel to appointments, so your little loved ones will always be free to wander with me. Open space apartment, I like to be outside a lot so I will spend a majority of time allowing your pet to be free and safe if they’re an outside animal. We have local shops within a mile that allow cats so if you’re open, I can allow your pet to go for outdoor time.

When I was younger I use to volunteer at the animal shelter with my great-grandma and that's the reason I love animals today.
