My goal is to maintain as much of your dog's normal routine as possible. During your pets stay your dog will enjoy exercise, companionship, and personalized care. “Shelby was FANTASTIC with our Sherman. He was very nervous when we left him (he has separation anxiety). Not only did he seem to do well after we left (the pictures she sent us spoke volumes about his mood), but when i picked him up he was excited to see us as always but instead of running straight to the car and waiting at the door for us as he usually does when we pick him up from someone he did a couple of excited circles and had to run back to give one of Shelbys pups a kiss goodbye. He often stays with my sister and he loves her and her dogs but he never runs back to the door for any reason. He was so relaxed and clearly worn out feom playing so much. Shelby is terrific. You xan certainly entrust her qith the care of your fur-baby with confidence!”

I’m retired Registered Nurse so I’m home most of the day. So your dog’s care is a priority in my home I have one 50lb dog- Ollie. He is a loving fellow that gets frequent walks and plays fetch in the back fenced in yard. He loves other dogs so your dog will have plenty of fun active things to do & lots of snuggling. I have a 6 foot privacy fence around my back yard. Your and my dog will be safely walk on leash outside of the yard. In home dogs are allowed on furniture and bed if this is normal for your pet.

About: I am a state certified veterinary technician and also someone who has had a love for all animals since I was a kid. I've been helping all animals personally (and then professionally) for years...actually decades! I treat all fur-babies as I would my own. The unconditional love we receive from our pets is something I treasure and never take for granted. Whether young pups and kittens, or senior dogs and cats, I give them all the attention and love they deserve and crave (especially while their parents/owners are away). My schedule is currently wide open, as I have just moved back to Prospect, KY recently and am looking for the right fit in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital. My schedule is quite flexible, so I can work around yours. With my state certified veterinary technician license I am able to do things that others are not. I can also tell you what may be a start of an ear infection or allergies or nothing at all! I enjoy going to dog parks, taking walks, playing fetch (or keep away haha) but also enjoy the quiet calm time while rubbing bellies and brushing hair. Also dog massages for the senior dogs helps tons with their aches and pains and I more than willing to assist. It actually puts them in a calming trance. Cats and I are a sort of soul mate (maybe it’s the name haha) but I have dealt with watching 5 cats at an owners house and 3 of the 5 had special medical needs that I was more than happy to help! They started booking me a year out ahead of time if they could!

About: I have special needs pets at home that require require extra skills as well as patience. I have taken care of dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. There will be plenty of attention and companionship as the day begins. Throughout the day there will be multiple supervised outdoor breaks in the spacious yard and surrounding dog friendly areas. This will include long walks, short walks, play sessions, or relaxation time based on your dog's needs. Fresh water will be available at all times. There will be frequent interaction, supervision, and companionship since I work from home and there will also be comfortable indoor rest periods between activities. Afternoons and evenings will include additional outdoor exercise and activities, dinner according to your dog's established routine, relaxation time indoors with plenty of attention and affection, evening potty breaks and if necessary a walk before bedtime. Individualized care is important for your dog's well being, so before your dog's stay, I will learn about feeding schedules and dietary restrictions, medication requirements, favorite activities and exercise preferences, commands and training cues your dog responds to, sleeping habits and comfort needs and any special routines that will help your dog feel at home. My goal is to maintain as much of your dog's normal routine as possible. During your pets stay your dog will enjoy exercise, companionship, and personalized care. Long walks and adventure or a relaxed day of lounging and affection await so your pet will feel right at home. For safety, dogs are always walked on leash. I am always happy to arrange a meet and greet, either in person or by video call, so you can feel completely comfortable before booking.
