About: I've owned animals all my life. I currently own one outdoor cat and 4 horses. I recently lost my dog of 13 years to cushings disease. I currently work part time at a horse boarding facility and previously worked for several years as a kennel techician. Traveling for a week every year with my family, I know it's hard to find good quality care for my pets. I'd love to be able to provide that care to the pets of other families. I work part time at a horse boarding facility 4 days a week (Thursday - Sunday). I work 2 shifts each day for 3- 4 hours each and have a 2-3 hour break between my shifts. Growing up on a farm in southern KY I am used to caring for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, miniature pigs, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, etc! About: I am very much a dog person! I have two dogs currently. One is just over 4 years old and the other is 3.5 years old. They are both Boston Terriers, one a girl and one a boy. Currently I’m unemployed due to having brain surgery at the end of 24’ and then the follow up treatments taking most of 25’. So I have lotsa time, attention, and love to give your pet(s). I have a park walking distance from my house that I can take dogs to run around and use the bathroom and I live in a good area for walks. I’m a big guy and can handle the larger breeds pretty well usually, but also caring for the little ones as well. Also FYI - for boardings if pickup on the last day is after noon I will ask for a day fee of $35. I’m currently unemployed due to brain surgery I had this time last year to remove a large cancerous tumor. Luckily I recovered beautifully and quickly and am still fully functional, minus a little extra forgetfulness but nothing bad at all. I’m a big guy at 6’4” and about 225 lbs so I can handle em all. I’m also rather calm and quiet which I believe helps animals feel at ease around me. When caring for another animal, I treat it like it were my own. I always saw my pets as an extension of my own family and want to treat all animals the same way. I am currently home from college right now, so I am flexible. I have 3 pets of my own who I take care of, other than that I am free. It depends on the pet and their individual needs. I have a dog, but he is extremely active and loves being outdoors, so letting him out every hour or couple minutes is important for him. Whereas, another dog may not enjoy. being outside as much or have certain medical needs that prevents them from running. I love cuddling up on the couch with my pets (dog and two cats), and giving them affection. I also enjoy spending time with them by getting them active and playing their favorite games/ toys.

Our dogs, one of which is a senior dog on many medications were cared for as if they were their own dog. They took extra special care of our anxious dog with lots of storms and 4th of July fireworks while we were gone. We felt at ease knowing how well they were cared for while we were gone for 10 days.
