“How can I say enough about Clint & Leah? Took a peak at Rover.com at the recommendation of an animal loving friend. Read the profiles. How can you decide who to invite into your mother’s senior living residence to care for her cat for two weeks based on a brief description???? Prayed abt it for awhile and reached out to Clint and Leah. Texted them, believe we spoke on the phone before their initial “meet and greet visit.” (No charge btw). They are a delightful couple, involved in ministry to people and critters! They took on the challenge of caring for our somewhat grumpy cat Mittens. Besides their daily visits to feed and water our cat, the brought in the mail & newspaper, watered the plants, took them out for a sunbath on a warm day, then brought them in from the cold another, played with Mittens, brought my attention to some health concerns, emptied her litter box, swept floor, even brought Mittens her favorite treats, needed hair ball medicine, and a new toy! They visited daily, sending pics and notes abt their visits. When the contracted time was up, the made an extra visit (also non-paid) to return the keys. The peace of mind they gave me was a blessing! If anyone needs a pet sitter for their pet, please don’t be afraid to call on Clint and Leah. They are awesome caretakers. Took a risk on the unknown and Mittens won!”

About: I have experience in caring for senior and disabled dogs, especially blind ones. I have also reared and house trained two puppies to adulthood and are still with my family to this day. They can walk unleashed (I would never do this with a dog that is not mine!) and even know protective commands. I am currently homebound so you furbaby will have my full undivided attention! I recently lost my senior baby and would enjoy a companion to walk with. I always have leashes and body vest on the door at the ready for any potty breaks and walks, no fence no problem. Stairs and basements will be blocked off all times to ensure safety and rooms will always remain closed. For house guests, we have an end table crate to ensure visibility when I am just resting. There is a regular metal crate and a spare room dedicated to any overwhelmed doggy.

About: I have been around dogs my whole life and taken care of dogs since I was about 10. Dogs are my life. They run my household and my only one rule with them is to love on them. I work from home so your pet will never be alone for a long period of time. I spent the last few years taking care of my senior dog who was almost 15 when she crossed the bridge. I still take care of another senior dog for my family. I work from home so your pet will always have someone. I will work around your schedule for feeding and medicine. I do ask that you bring their beds and toys so that they feel more comfortable. Fenced in yard with no children/ pets. I do not crate the dogs unless it is for their safety and comfort. Whether I’m taking them for a walk, dropping in for dinner and playtime, or hanging with them for a few days, I will provide careful attention to your pets’ specific needs. Your pets will always come first and I am dedicated to ensuring their comfort and your peace of mind. I will be in Fort Wayne throughout July and August for an internship, but I'm happy to drop-in on my off days or after work if need be. My calendar shows only the days I am off, but please reach out to chat about your specific needs and we can work out dates/times that work for both of us! I am available for multiple walks or drop-in visits during the day. I can manage both longer walks and shorter potty breaks/time in the yard. I will be sure to get an understanding of your pets’ routines to keep them as comfortable as possible.
About: I may not have formal pet sitting experience, but I’ve grown up around animals and have always loved caring for them. I’ve lived with a sheepdog and two golden retrievers, and I’m comfortable feeding, playing with, and spending time with pets of different sizes and personalities. I also have a soft spot for animals and often help stray cats and dogs when I can. I’m patient, gentle, and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. About: I've taken care of pets almost my entire life, the majority that I have taken care of are cats and dogs. I always make sure they get what they need such as food, water, exercise, play time, and attention. I always make sure that I take care of and treat them the way I treat my own. I am currently gaining a bachelor's degree in animal health and behavior. So I do know what to expect when it comes to a different variety of animals and their behaviors. Your pets are in safe hands. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine, and I plan my schedule around each booking. I make sure pets receive consistent care, attention, and time, and I always follow their established routine to keep them comfortable. When caring for a pet in a client’s home, I prioritize respecting their space and belongings. I only use items related to pet care and follow all household guidelines provided by the client. I always clean up after both myself and the pet, and I take pride in maintaining a clean, organized environment. About: We provide residential boarding in both our house and finished barn depending on availability and needs. You can schedule a tour. Drop off and pick up time as early as 7am and 11pm. Playtime in the yard is included. You can pay extra for a daily walk. Charged a flat rate per night. Updates available during stay. All dogs are welcome small, big, young, old, friendly, and we are also capable of caring for aggressive dogs. As a family business, my wife Valerie is home during the day to care for clients and I’m home in the evening and weekends to assist. Client needs are met with compassion and knowledge. Care is discussed in detailed and documented. Updates are sent as requested. Dogs in the house must be able to be crated, otherwise the large indoor/outdoor runs in the barn are a better option.
