About: I have years of experience with animal care and boarding, along with volunteering with animal shelters and transporting adoptable pets to their new homes. I live on 2½ acres in a quiet country setting with plenty of room to enjoy. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away—and I’ll care for them like one of my own! 🐾 I work a consistent weekday schedule and am home by 4pm, with evenings and weekends spent at home. My house has flexibility in schedules, and I can work with you to make accommodations if necessary. We're an active family, so walks, outdoor time, play and plenty of attention are easy to incorporate into our days. For the less active, we love snugglers and are always able to accommodate downtime. I live on 2½ acres with plenty of space to enjoy outdoors. There is a fenced-in portion of the backyard directly off the house for safe barhroom breaks and play, along with additional property for supervised walks. My home is shared with my friendly cat, Oliver, and visiting pets are treated as part of the family while they’re here.

“This was our dogs' first stay with anyone new. They were both anxious & kept peeing & pooping in Surama's home because of it, even though she was taking them out very often. Surama was very patient with them & made their stay a good one regardless. We didn't anticipate this issue & felt terrible about her having to deal with cleaning so many messes. I appreciated that she was open & honest about what was happening, while assuring me it was fine & in no way causing us to feel worse about it. I think the most important part is safety. PetCare Insurance for the unforeseen, but vigilance eliminates a lot of that. Pets are often curious and you need to make sure they’re not getting into harms way. When I take your dog for a walk, I won’t be on my phone because you need to be on the lookout for potential danger. I can take your dog to the park, around the neighborhood, for a drive or just stand in the yard. It’s all up to you. I will follow your instructions without opinion.

About: I’ve had dogs and other pets for as long as I can remember. When I was about 10, I became obsessed with reading about different dog breeds and their needs. My first job actually working with pets was a dog daycare. I loved building connections with the pups and their parents. At this job, I learned defensive handling skills (how to avoid or break up fights or attacks) and how to handle reactive, scared, and stubborn dogs. I work shorter hours on weekends so I’m able to make plenty of time for your baby, plus my wife is always home and will occasionally help care for your pet when I’m not around. I like to have group play or just time outside when it’s cool in the mornings and evenings. I have a fenced backyard that I check for holes daily and an open front yard (leashes at all times out front). I’m able to crate your dog at anytime they might need it and can even have them in a separate room if crates aren’t their thing. Another bonus is that my wife is home just about full time and is able to care for your pet when I’m not around. If I’m at your house, I will take your dog outside on a leash the first few times just to see how they are and to make sure they aren’t an escape artist once mom/dad is gone

During the past year and a half, I've cared for dogs, cats, and even chickens through TrustedHousesitters across Colorado, Montana, Wisconsin, and Indiana. About: I love animals and I’ve been around them most of my life! I have a dog of my own that I’ve had for 11 years, so I’m very familiar with their behaviors and how to take care of them! Pet care fits into my daily routine as I am currently studying Wildlife Biology and minoring in Aquatic Science at Purdue University. About: I have been taking care of animals ever since I was about 9 years old! I had a hamster growing up and we had two family dogs growing up. I have experience taking care of other people's animals as well as taking care of family pets such as my sister's dog (beagle mix) and my parent's dogs (two Chesapeake bay retrievers and a rescue hound). I also have experience taking care of cats for family & friends! I also have experience helping take care of newborn puppies, as my stepdad breeds Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. I live on 2½ acres in a quiet country setting with plenty of room to enjoy. “This was our dogs' first stay with anyone new. They were both anxious & kept peeing & pooping in Surama's home because of it, even though she was taking them out very often. Surama was very patient with them & made their stay a good one regardless. We didn't anticipate this issue & felt terrible about her having to deal with cleaning so many messes. I appreciated that she was open & honest about what was happening, while assuring me it was fine & in no way causing us to feel worse about it. She also sent pictures of them playing with her family & other dogs, which my daughter especially appreciated. Surama was so kind & we will definitely use her in the future.😊👍”

About: I have taken care of dogs since middle school. I love dogs and have two on my own - a Dalmatian and a Basset Hound. My family is very active and we walk the doggies daily! My job is very flexible and I have a lot of extra time during the day to spend time with the doggies! I have had dogs all my life! I love dogs and I spend a lot of time outdoors with the doggies! I make sure the doggies get at least one walk a day but more often than not they get walked twice daily.
About: Giants are my passion! I have driven to the far side of Texas, Arkansas, Canadian US boarder, Florida, Ocean side of Virginia and everything in between to rescue Giants from all walks of life and age. At the moment I have 4 St. Bernards, 2 Great Danes, a Mastiff and a Terrior Mix; all brought into my home at different times, at random ages and health; today I have a conducive healthy pack whom are open fed without issue. I have children from newborns to the elderly visit or stay without issue. I homeschool my 3 children. Hourly checks made on food supply available, washing and filling water dishes with clean fresh water. Fenced in dog play ground including tunnels, obstacles, shade and lots of sun! Each year we expand our dog park (1/4 of my yard completely fenced in from 3 access points including 2 walk out points from the house) boundaries and/or obstacles with the intent to keep our 4 leg family members safe, healthy, and happy.

About: I have taken care of pets my whole life (my own and others). I have two of my own dogs currently — at 70 lb Shepherd x Dalmatian and a 25 lb Jack Russel x Aussie, both of which can get rowdy so I am no stranger to high energy pets! I am happy to help work on basic commands and will make sure your pet gets plenty of physical and mental exercise! I am a graduate student so my schedule is very flexible when it comes to checking in on pets and I typically like to spend >1 hour with them a day. I can provide medications and/or any specific care that your dog might require. I am a graduate student and my schedule can be flexible! For boarding— my own dogs wake me up at 6 am to eat and then often like to go outside around 8 after some more snoozing. As a student I can be gone from 9-5 occasionally, but more often it is 11-4 or something similar. On average I am gone between 4-8 hours at a time depending on my schedule. During the day we usually play and I give them different enrichment toys. When I am home I let the dogs out frequently to romp in the yard! Dinner is around 5 and then usually a calm evening. My weekends I am usually home for the entire day. For at home visits or walks— I am happy to fit your pets needs into my schedule! I can offer up to 3 visits per day and can spend various amounts of time with your pet based on their needs. For boarding—I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and play. I have two dogs who are friendly (albeit loud) and would love to run around with your dog! I do have a crate in the house for your dog if needed. When I am gone my own dogs are closed in my bedroom and I would likely close your pet(s) in a separate room as well— your pet does not need to be crate trained if they are non destructive! Because I do have pets of my own any boarded dogs need to be dog and cat friendly. For home visits and walks— I am slow to introduce myself with each visit to make sure your pet is comfortable with me in their home as it can be stressful!! I typically sit with pets before immediately going for the leash to make sure they feel safe. I am happy to spend time with your pets beyond walking/feeding! In am able to stay for longer periods of time in the evenings to play or sit and just spend time with them. I am comfortable with reactive dogs and will prioritize your pets comfort.
