About: I consider my home to be your pup's vacation home!! He/she will be loved and cared for as if they were my own. I have housebroken puppies and have cared for senior dogs as well. Our routine and daily schedules are all built around our dogs. I do ask that they be crate trained but would never be in them for more than 4-5 hours. I have three cats and three dogs. (A senior boston terrier and 2 chihuahuas), all of which are accustomed to having new furry friends in their home. While we do have a fenced in yard, I never leave my dogs outside alone, when they go outside, I go outside with them. They all sleep in my bed and are always allowed on furniture.

“We dropped our dogs on our way out of town Thursday morning and returned for them Sunday evening. I appreciated Destinee's flexibility with our pick-up time (I had initially booked for the following morning but it made more sense for us to pick them up on our way through as we were heading south to Bloomington - our timing was a bit later than she would have preferred but she graciously worked with us). We received photos of the dogs both inside the house and outside in the backyard on the first three days of care, and a written description of how they were doing on the first day. The home and yard seemed nice and I really appreciated not needing to bring bowls/ beds/ extra items as she provides everything. The only tips I would have for a better "pet parent" experience would be to be more consistent with writing about how each day went, and possibly showing off some of the house/yard upon drop off. Since we don't live close by, a meet and greet or advance tour wouldn't have made sense for us anyway. I feel like our dogs were in good hands with Destinee and her husband. When we return home, we have some free time with toys and puzzles, enjoy another good meal, take another long, walk around the neighborhood, and then cuddle on the couch or in the beds until bedtime. I don’t have a fence in yard however, we have multiple leashes here as well as one that you would prefer to use. About: I have cared for many animals growing up, my mom and I were both adopters of all kinds of strays. But I have been loving and caring for my very own sweet girl for 9 years! We adopted our baby from the humane society at 3 months old and worked through potty training, leash training, and command training. Please allow your pet to be my outlet so I stop asking my husband for another dog 😬 I am a homeschool momma so I am home or outside adventuring most of the day. I have a nice sized yard, however, it is not fenced in so if your fur baby likes to run off from time to time we may not be a good fit. I have 3 small kiddos (and myself) who would love nothing more than to snuggle on your pup! And our Vega girl enjoys running and playing with other doggos so your pup will get plenty of love and exercise! We do have 11 chickens who stay in their coop (we do let them free range from time to time, but they will be kept in their coop while you pup stays with us). However, due to having small children and chicks we will require a meet and greet before your precious pup comes to stay with us.

About: Hi! I am a first year veterinary medicine student and have experience with a variety of different animals. I have worked as a veterinary technician, so I have been trained in first aid, as well as oral and injectable medication administration. I can accommodate pets of all ages, temperaments, and health conditions. I have experience working with shelter animals, and have also worked for three years training, caring for, and socializing puppies. This has provided me with the experience and knowledge to care for a variety of animals, including pets with special needs and those with reactivity and/or anxiety. Their comfort is my biggest priority, so I’m more than happy to accommodate any special requests! I am an experienced incoming veterinary student and devote my summers to pet sitting and care, so I am very flexible in terms of scheduling and accommodating your pet! I grew up with a pup who required special attention for his anxiety, so I have endless patience and experience with dogs who need a more quiet, patient approach! I also have experience walking very large, reactive, and/or high energy type dogs through my volunteering at the humane society.

“We dropped our dogs on our way out of town Thursday morning and returned for them Sunday evening. I appreciated Destinee's flexibility with our pick-up time (I had initially booked for the following morning but it made more sense for us to pick them up on our way through as we were heading south to Bloomington - our timing was a bit later than she would have preferred but she graciously worked with us). We received photos of the dogs both inside the house and outside in the backyard on the first three days of care, and a written description of how they were doing on the first day. The home and yard seemed nice and I really appreciated not needing to bring bowls/ beds/ extra items as she provides everything. The only tips I would have for a better "pet parent" experience would be to be more consistent with writing about how each day went, and possibly showing off some of the house/yard upon drop off. Since we don't live close by, a meet and greet or advance tour wouldn't have made sense for us anyway. I feel like our dogs were in good hands with Destinee and her husband. Thanks again for a great stay!”

“Josh and Kate were great and really helped alleviate my anxiety in leaving him in someone else’s home. They were welcoming and knowledgeable about the best way to introduce him to the other let they were caring for. They sent updates which thrilled all of us, especially the kids, to see that he was being so well taken care of and loved while we were away. Milo seemed very comfortable and quickly made himself at home in theirs. It was a great experience and their care was very much appreciated. Can’t recommend them enough and rather than stress about who will keep our anxious pup while we are away I will be looking up Josh and Kate immediately.
