About: I’ve had dogs and other pets for as long as I can remember. When I was about 10, I became obsessed with reading about different dog breeds and their needs. My first job actually working with pets was a dog daycare. I loved building connections with the pups and their parents. At this job, I learned defensive handling skills (how to avoid or break up fights or attacks) and how to handle reactive, scared, and stubborn dogs. I work shorter hours on weekends so I’m able to make plenty of time for your baby, plus my wife is always home and will occasionally help care for your pet when I’m not around. I come from a large dog family, from a Great Pyrenees to Labs and German Shepherds, but I’ve also been able to care for smaller dogs in my neighborhood. I’ve also cared for sensitive and reactive dogs who came from hard backgrounds, so I have experience taking it slow to build trust. I also care for cats as well, with experience from my own 13 year old orange cat and my mom’s two crazy kittens. Whether it’s taking them on walks, playing tug of war, giving them meds, or just keeping them company, I love any time I get to spend with fur babies. I’m preparing to leave for a scholarship in Poland at the end of September after graduating with my Master’s degree in May, so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I am free most days and times with the exception of a few days with prior commitments throughout the summer. I strive to provide the best care with the utmost respect for you and your fur baby’s home. I have experience with fenced in yards and open areas, as well as plenty of experience with flight risk dogs (those German Shepherds love to run!) and returning them safely home.
