“If I could give 10 stars I would. We had a wedding to go to in Hawaii, and the family members who would normally watch our pets for us were going too. I was worried about leaving my 2 dogs and cat for 2 weeks, especially with the 6 hour time difference and being so far from home. I wasn't so much worried about the dogs, but my cat is almost 18 years old. After the meet and greet with Kristen all my fears were put to rest. You can tell she has experience with pet sitting and that she truly cares about your pets. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my pets were in safe hands. My cat is relatively healthy for his age, but is on a couple of medications, and Kristen was able to give him his meds while he stayed with her. She regularly sent me pictures of my pets, with up-dates on how they were doing, and I could see that they were having a great time. The dogs loved lounging in her sunroom and spending time in her fenced in back yard. And my cat had a big cat condo that he loved napping on. I could not be more pleased with this booking, and I would trust Kristen again in a heartbeat to watch my pets. Highly recommend!”

About: My very first pet was a beautiful long-haired cat from the shelter; after finding out she was pregnant, we named her Momma Luna! She gave birth to 4 kittens; I was a lucky kid. I have babysat for kittens & adult cats alike. I have also had community cats come to my backyard for food & attention. I’m comfortable lavishing them with attention or leaving the grouchy ones alone, whichever they prefer!

About: Ever since I was around 5 or 6, I always remember being in a home with pets. Whether it was dogs, cats, reptiles, a potbellied pig, and even smaller animals. Older or very young, all of the animals I have had and cared for were very spoiled and given a life well deserved. I love every single animal and couldn't imagine a life without them. I believe that all animals deserve proper care, and a loving home. Any animal is loved as if they were my own. I am currently working at Kroger part time, three days a week. I am going to school full time as well. The days I work at Kroger are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday- 5 a.m.- 9 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the days I attend school and go all day. I plan on fitting in pet care after working at my job, and possibly weekends. I care for pets in my home or a client's home by greeting them and making sure they have everything they need. This includes making sure they are comfortable enough, with plenty of food and water. I also make sure they get taken outside or have access to use the bathroom often or whenever needed. About: I have experience caring for dogs at all stages of life, from puppies to senior and those with special needs. I previously had a small blind incontinent senior terrier who has since gone over the rainbow bridge, so I understand the extra patience and attention required to make them feel comfortable. I have also raised and house-trained two puppies into adulthood, who are still with my family today! One of them is a unique mix of Belgian Malinois, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, German Shepherd, Alaskan Malamute, and Rottweiler (Try saying that five times fast!). We had his DNA tested, so we can now confidently confirm his impressive mutt status. His high energy and intelligence required consistent training and socialization. After raising him, it's safe to say that I'm comfortable with puppy routines, basic obedience training, and how to handle a wide range of temperaments and needs. What sets me apart is that I take the time to understand each dog's routine, personality and comfort level so they receive the best care that fits their individual needs. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, an active adult, or a gentle senior, I will provide the best and reliable care while you are away. I am currently homebound so your fur baby will have my full undivided attention! I recently lost my senior baby so having a temporary walking companion would be great therapy! In my home, your dog will be family. I follow each dog's routine, including feedings times/medications, and any special care instructions provided by the owner. I keep leashes and harnesses ready by the door so dogs are always secured before any potty breaks or walk. If a dog wants to just sunbathe outside, I also have a stake and tie out, so no fence, no problem! To help prevent accidents, stairs and basement access are blocked off at all times, and rooms remain closed. All interactions between dogs will be supervised and there will never be any forced introductions. If a dog needs time to decompress or prefers their own space, I have multiple safe options available, including an end-table crate in the main living area so they can remain close by while I relax, a standard metal crate, and a dedicated quiet room for dogs that may become overwhelmed or simply need a break.

About: Dogs have had a tremendous impact on my life; I’ve trained & owned dogs for the last 20 years. Currently I own a Yorkie mix named Mayhem who loves motorcycle rides & fetch! Over the years I’ve helped strangers & friends with training & general care of their fuzzy babes. Pitbulls, labs, poodles, dobermans, tiny terrors & more. I try to add structured fun & exercise to any dog I encounter, paying attention to the dog’s personality & confidence level. A tired pooch is a happy pooch. I currently work nights, so I am flexible during the weekdays before 4pm to help let your dog have fresh air while you’re at work! And for nightshifters, I can let your dog out late in the evening because I naturally stay awake until approximately midnight to 2am. My true availability (I’m unable to modify the calendar to reflect this) is Monday & Tues available all day/night, Wednesday & Thursday between 7:45am to 4pm, Fridays before 2:30pm, and Saturday & Sundays I’m generally unavailable but open to requests on a weekly basis (especially if we have an established relationship). I am flexible & will do what you think is best for your dog. I am used to staying calm under pressure & providing a reassuring presence for your dog. I’m especially good for dogs which need a physical outlet seeing as I lead an active lifestyle with lots of running, walking, bike riding, hiking, etc.
About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 18 years old. I am not intimidated by size or breed of dog or cat. I have cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, turtles, horses, chickens, llamas, and a hedgehog. If owner was okay with it I took the dog to work with me or to a park to walk. I am physically in shape and able to walk/jog with your dog and go on long walks (I also live near the Pufferbelly trail). I will play tug, fetch or whatever game your dog enjoys. I am willing to take your dog on car rides and to the Huntertown dog park upon client request. I have a golden retriever that loves to play and go for walks, so if you want some socialization for your dog, I can also bring him along. My dog will only come by request of the client. I do have 2 cats in my home, so I can only board dogs who are cat (and dog) friendly. Otherwise, I am more than happy to come to your home and care for your dog(s).
