I had my Labrador for 13 years and my Boxer mix for 15 years. We used to love to take long strolls around the neighborhood and visit our pals at the local dog park. We would cook dinner and lounge around watching our favorite flicks. We even took car rides around town when we got bored. Over the years, we went through everything from crazy puppy phases, to professional command/leash training, and experienced all medical scares (labs love to chew on EVERYTHING) under the sun. I can assist with any type of need ranging from long walks, simple belly rubs, to training help. Maple, my lab, was a diabetic for 7 years, requiring insulin injections. I am highly experienced in administering topical, oral and injectable medications, as well as eye and ear medications. The care needed for my senior dogs helped build my knowledge on many types of medications and daily care pills. Whatever the need may be, just ask me! EDUCATION: I am a graduate with my b.s. in buisness from Purdue. I currently am a stay at home mother, with much freedom to build my own schedule. I would help with playgroups, walks, medication administration, and bathing. I have helped with potty and crate training, including my own dogs. I have a crate and rotate situation in my own home, so I understand that not all dogs can be around others. I would help on my days off at the vet clinic. I am always off on Sundays and major holidays. I would also try to fit any pet care on my days I work as well. I have a crate and rotate situation in my home. I know to take extra care to make sure my non dog friendly dog is up prior to letting any others out. I double check to make sure the crate doors are latched. I also make sure my own gate is closed because I would hate for one of my dogs to get out.

About: I've been taking care of dogs almost all my life. I've had so many different breeds in my lifetime. I love all kinds of animals but definitely have to say dogs are my favorite! I work on my time. I book cleanings and caregiving help to older adults. So if I have a job for sitting lined up I just don't accept any cleaning jobs. I do sitting, walking, and boarding. I can accommodate up to two large dogs and I have a safe area for walks and playtime. I also can come to pets home if needed to do potty breaks ect.

About: I have my own dog. I've grown up with dogs. I worked at a pet store when I was a teenager, and have house/pet sat before. Although, I'm not a vet, I'm observant and will keep an eye out for issues that concern you. Pet health is important. That includes nutrition and grooming. I know some think there is such a thing as over involved pet parents, I think they're family and should be treated as such. I volunteer at my church every Thursday, Backpack Program fifth Wednesdays (when they occur) and Orphan Grain Train every other month on the third Thursday. Otherwise, I take care of my dad who has COPD. I have to be home to cook for him. And take care of my own dog. Eventually, I will allow dogs to stay with me overnight, but I want to make sure my dog and said dogs get along. So that is my availability. I have a pitbull mix. She is very good around other dogs. Especially after she gets to know them. She's not aggressive, just tends to hump when excited. All dogs will need a leash if they are coming with me. I have walking trails in my community. I have no problem walking your dogs in them. Please make sure they have up to date tick meds. Also I live with my dad he will be petting and loving any pet that spends the night. My house is two story, so if you have a senior dog that needs help just let me know.

About: I have grown up with and lived with pets (dogs and cats) my entire life. For over a decade I have volunteered and fostered animals through a local animal rescue. I have passed on my love for animals to my 15-year-old daughter, Piper. She started sitting for neighboring pets three years ago. Our backyard fence is a 4' aluminum fence with custom picket spacing of 2.25" which is perfect for accommodating smaller dogs and puppies.
