I am retired, and I have plenty of time to take care of the animals. I love playing with them and taking them on nice walks. I have a decent sized yard. It’s not fenced in so I do walk the animals on a leash and we have some woods with paths near my house. If the dogs over 50 pounds I prefer them to be crate trained.

I myself have grown up with dogs my whole life and would pet sit my neighbors animals all the time. Now, I have my own little zoo of 2 dogs, 3 cats, and some geckos. I spent one year in a vet tech program so i know the basics of animal medicine, 6 months taking care of the marine mammals at Shedd Aquarium, and I also have a bachelor's degree in Zoology. I will always give your pets tons of attention and love! I'm a college student with a very flexible schedule. I can largely work around your needs and be available accordingly, AM or PM and overnight if needed. My dogs sleep in my room, I feed them first thing in the morning, take them out for a morning stroll and bathroom time, walk them in the afternoon, and feed and take them out at night before bed. I also play with the dogs regularly (inside and outside), give ear rubs and belly rubs, and make sure they have water always.
About: I've never worked for a company like Rover but I've watched many people's pets, mainly friends of the family. My household has two dogs and 3 cats, two of the cats are kittens. I like small dogs but big dogs are my absolute favorite. I personally have a great dane who is a dork and I love him so much. Neighbors, family, and friends have always trusted me to watch their furry friends while they were away. I work part time at a school from august to may. I have plenty of time every day at home to watch and play with your animals. I have a large fenced in yard for my dogs at home. About: I started taking care of animals when I was eight. Since then, I have cared for guinea pigs, rabbits, a tarantula, fish, chickens, cows, and of course cats and dogs of various ages. Typically, I will set up a phone call or meet and greet before officially booking. This helps to make sure owners and I are have the same expectations and to meet your adorable pets. I am a full time college student, so my availability is flexible. I am available to check in or stay overnight with your pets. Walking is also something I love to do for exercise or a study break. About: Hi, my name is Melinda of bark and stroll. I love animals. I have my own animal and I love taking care of animals inside my home or your home. I am retired, and I have plenty of time to take care of the animals. I love playing with them and taking them on nice walks. I have a decent sized yard. It’s not fenced in so I do walk the animals on a leash and we have some woods with paths near my house. If the dogs over 50 pounds I prefer them to be crate trained.

About: As a pet owner myself I know that our pets are our babies. (Lord knows I treat mine like my baby). I work from home so someone is always with your fur baby. We live about 5 minutes from Switchyard Park and like to walk the trail. Our apartment complex has a small dog park and a trail that is about half a mile long that we go on all the time. My dog is part husky so I know the importance of keeping dogs busy. We have multiple puzzles and toys ready to go. I’m very type A when it comes to my dog so you can expect the same with your pet. I’ll over communicate with you, send you photos daily, and let you know how your pup is adjusting. Safety and communication are always number one. I’ve grown up with pets all my life and baby sat for other dogs. My dog has some medical issues (a bad knee) so I’m no stranger to medication and keeping an eye out on existing injuries. If you want to meet up or see the environment your dog will be staying before hand, feel free to reach out to me! Since I work from home we take a lot of short walks through the day and I set up puzzles for them to play inside in case it’s too hot. I want to keep your dogs schedule as much as possible. A new environment for them can be stressful and if I can help ease some of that with following their schedule, I’m happy to do it! Your dog will have free range of our apartment. They’re allowed on all furniture and we have multiple dog beds in case they want their space. We have 2 crates in the house in case the dogs need to be crated and we will never have more than 2 dogs in the apartment (yours and mine only). We have a small dog park across the street of our apartment that will only be used if no other dogs are already there. Of course I will ask your preference if you’re comfortable with them going there or only walks.
