We felt at total ease leaving our “kid” in her care… she welcomed doing a meet and greet earlier in the week ( at our request) to introduce our dog to her to before dropping him off later that week. She was very accommodating with our drop off/pickup since we were flying somewhere. Will definitely use her again and recommend to her to other pet parents!!!”

Their house was beautiful and Grace had the perfect setup. They took such care to the smallest details and kept us informed. They are genuine, good people that are a hidden gem on this app. They are true animal lovers that will love your dog like family. We can’t wait to go back. Thanks Tina & Bob!!”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with animals. Growing up by a dirt road in Alabama ,I always made sure to care for and find homes for them while also having our own, I’ve taken college corses on training dogs although didn’t finish due to becoming a mother. We have a large backyard fenced, covered& partly enclosed patio & love to give. Animals are truly a wonderful being to have around and I want to teach my children the importance of them. I’ve watched big dogs & small dogs although starting off with this app I’m looking to watch small dogs. I take my oldest son to library, we can spend anywhere between 1-4 hours there & I pick up my youngest from his program at 3pm (right down the road) other than weekly/biweekly grocery/shopping trips, I’m at the house. We treat your dog like our family so that means ofc they are allowed on the couch and we have a fenced in back yard & covered patio while we love to spend time outside so you can be assured majority of the time we will be right there beside em. I do have a cat who spends majority of the time in our bedroom other than eating.
“I don't know how she does it but she was awesome. How she cared for so many dogs at once was pretty impressive. Would definitely rebook with her. Thanks again”

“Linda and Dwight treat our boy like family and they'll do the same for your dog! I never have to worry about a thing when he's with them, and not only am I usually a worrywart but our pup has special needs as well. Thanks, you guys, for taking loving care of Win and for always going that extra mile. ❤️”

“Robert did an excellent job taking care of our dog that by the time I went to pick him up, he decided that he wants to continue to starly on the couch with his friend. I had to coax off the couch so that we could get going home since it was late when I picked up him. I would recommend him for anyone who needs their furrikids to be taken care in there absence.”

We really hope that Karen will be available next time we are away, because we will definitely be repeat customers!”

About: I have taken care of cats from freshly born all the way to 16 years old throughout the past ten years and have had at least one cat of my own my whole life. I am good at getting cats who take meds to take them when needed. I also will only interact with cats at their pace, but will always make sure to lay eyes on them to make sure they are fine. I also have experience taking care of cats after surgery, so I understand restrictions they might have and how to handle them.

“Ros is great! She was on time and communicative and seemed very kind. My cats seemed comfortable with her right from the start. I had to go out of town while one of my cats was sick, and Ros was super easygoing about all the extra instructions and annoying follow-up questions. I would definitely book with her again.”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life. I have 2 dogs. I have a lab mix and rott/sheperd mix. They are my fur babies and my daughters' besties. I love dogs so much and sometimes more than people :o) I have been a paralegal for 17 years. I enjoy being a paralegal but I love animals more. I am trying to earn income doing something I truly love. I will treat your fur babies just like my own. I will make sure they are safe, properly provided for and loved on the whole time.

“We appreciate Gabbi coming over to our house and taking care of all the kitties we have. Special thanks for keeping both litter boxes clean as our cats grow senior. She also took in the deliveries. Will definitely recommend and reach out again.”

“Crystal has been an amazing sitter while I’ve been out of town for work. Great communication, sent pictures and kept me updated on everything going on when she arrived and left my house. She took excellent care of my three dogs, including my senior pup who needs a little extra attention. She went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for while I was away. I highly recommend her for all your pet sitting needs!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was a young girl. My 5 year old cat, Mischief, was the runt of the litter of my family cat, Picasso. I separated Mischief from his brothers and sisters and bottle fed him for months until he could eat solid foods. I also have a rescue cat from the humane society, Diva, who is 1 year old. I have trained both cats to be very friendly and gentle as well as obedient. Both cats are fully vaccinated, as I expect your pet to be as well. The environment contains a 7ft cat tree, an automated litter box, free feeding kibble, a water fountain, many interactive toys as well as some cat grass and lemon balm plants to nibble on. I hope to make every experience the most enjoyable experience for both you and your furry friend(s)!
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was around 12 or 13 years old. I would take care of neighbor's, and family member's animals. Such as walking them, feeding them, giving them the love and care that they receive everyday from their owners. I am in college so my schedule is very consistent! Two days out of the week I have 8:30am classes and then the other 3 days my classes start at noon. I am very flexible however, all of my classes end at or before 5pm. So I am available early morning, late morning, afternoon evening, depending on the day! Just reach out and I’m sure we can make it work!! I will respect your home, and follow said rules in your home to be able to give your animal the best care it deserves. ♡

“Tara is an excellent pet sitter and I don’t know what I’d do without her. I had her watching my babies during a crazy tornado that broke windows in my apartment and she made sure to check my place and call me to let me know about everything that was happening. She took care of damage control and secured my two cats in the bedroom where there wasn’t any broken glass and kept me updated until I was able to get back home. I cannot recommend Tara enough, she’s a life saver”

“Quenna is a very responsible pet sitter! She showed up early and was always fast to respond my texts. She was the first person I used on this app after a few people agreed and then cancelled on me. But Quenna didn't disappoint. Plus her main job is at the animal shelter. So she is the best care taker! I highly recommend Quenna as your pet sitter!”

“Melanie did a good job taking care of our shy kitty. She sent pictures even if we didn't asked for them and that was nice. Good communication and fast response. We do recommend her!”

“Julie was a life saver! We were stood up by our original sitter, and she took Yuna in last minute. It felt reassuring to leave Yuna with her. Even though it was just for the afternoon, it seemed she got along with Julie's dogs and was exercised enough to have her sleep all throughout our road trip back home! Also kept us updated with pictures which was great.”

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for friends’ and family members’ pups of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve looked after everything from 14-week-old puppies to senior rescues. I’ve also worked with dogs who need medication, have special needs like blindness or anxiety, or just have tons of energy to burn. I approach every dog with patience, compassion, and personalized care — as if they were my own. As a full-time student with a light class schedule — just a few hours in the evenings Monday through Thursday — I’m available nearly all day, every day. This flexibility allows me to provide consistent care, timely check-ins, and plenty of attention for your pup throughout the day. When boarding dogs in my home, I provide a peaceful, dog-friendly space where your pup can relax and feel at ease. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and live in a quiet, walkable neighborhood that's perfect for regular walks and sniff breaks. I maintain a consistent routine, supervise playtime, and ensure your dog always has a cozy spot to rest — just like they would at home. Being welcomed into someone’s home to care for their pet is a responsibility I take seriously. I’m clean, respectful, and always follow care instructions closely. I create a calm, safe environment for each dog, keep communication open with regular updates, and do everything I can to make sure both you and your pup feel secure and supported.

“We did a half day of daycare with Marie as an introduction (first meeting). Everything seemed to go great, and our pup was happy at pick up! We definitely plan to use Marie in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m Gabbi, and I have over 6 years of experience caring for other people’s pets! I am new to Rover, but I have multiple pet sitting references that I can provide from customers that have had me hired me for years! I’ve watched dogs of all sizes from Great Pyrenees to Chihuahuas. I’ve handled hundreds of cats so I am used to every personality. I have also cared for reptiles, amphibians, fish, farm animals, and rodents. I’ve watched dogs who need vigorous exercise, as well as the opposite. I’ve cared for puppies and kittens, seniors, and every age in between. I’ve watched a litter of kittens that were still nursing. I have experience with cats and dogs affected by cerebral palsy, deafness, blindness, and other special needs. I am experienced in administering multiple forms of medication. I also volunteer for an animal shelter, which gives me a lot of unique situations and experiences! I have a relatively flexible schedule. I work part time at a dog grooming salon. My shifts are typically 6 hours or less, and I only work up to 4 days a week. I do sometimes have other commitments that typically take up to 4 hours at a time. For people interested in boarding, I have a fenced yard and an 11/yo, 15 lb Shih Tzu who is very friendly. He is laid back and prefers dogs who are also laid back, but has never shown aggression with high energy dogs. I typically walk the dogs I watch at least once a day, but that can vary on the age and/or the activity level of the dog. I can also take them to a park, weather permitting! I always try to keep the pups experience as stress-free as possible, so I listen closely to everything you tell me about your pet. I try to stick to any routine that you guys share, whether that be feeding times, walking times, or anything else! I live in a quiet neighborhood where your dog will be safe with me. Please note, I am typically only able to board small to medium hypoallergenic dogs, up to 30 lbs.

About: I have had between 2-4 animals in my house since I was a kid. I have been pet sitting animals from kittens/puppies all the way up to 16 years old for the past 4 years consistently. I am good with helping animals take their meds and will interact with animals at their pace. I am currently working a part time job and starting full online classes so I can get my masters. This means that I will be free most of the time and will be able to make my schedule fit around my clients needs. In my clients home I will make sure to follow instructions given to me, ensuring I am familiar with all details to give the animals the best care. I will take any animals that enjoy walks for those in the area or to a park if they need to get energy out, play with them outside, or play with them inside. I follow a routine for feeding and for any meds they might have to take, while also checking to make sure they have full and clean water daily. If I am cat sitting I will make sure to check and scoop the litter daily as well if needed.

About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is the level of care, attentiveness, and protection I provide to every dog as if they were my own. I have experience working with young puppies who need patience, structure, and consistency with basic training and routines, as well as senior dogs who require gentle handling, medication management, and close monitoring. Safety is always my top priority I am highly observant on walks, mindful of surroundings, and proactive in preventing any potential risks. I understand canine body language, which helps me anticipate needs and avoid stressful situations. Whether it’s reinforcing positive behaviors, sticking to a detailed feeding schedule, or providing calm companionship for anxious pets, I create a secure and loving environment where dogs feel comfortable and protected. Owners can trust that their pets are not only cared for, but truly looked after with responsibility, awareness, and genuine affection. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially as an incoming medical student with a flexible study schedule. While my classes are structured, I have built-in breaks throughout the day that allow me to step away, reset, and give pets the attention they need. Studying also provides flexibility, since I can organize my time around walks, feeding schedules, play sessions, and check-ins. I value balance and know how important movement and fresh air are, so taking a dog out for a walk or spending time engaging with them fits seamlessly into my day. When I’m studying, pets stay in a safe, calm environment where they can relax comfortably nearby. Being in a rigorous academic program has strengthened my time management skills, responsibility, and attentiveness — qualities that directly translate into providing reliable, consistent, and safe care for every dog I look after. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. In my home, pets stay in a clean, calm, and secure environment with constant supervision, scheduled walks, and plenty of attention. I maintain consistent routines for feeding, exercise, and rest to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all provided instructions, respect the space, and keep pets on their normal schedule to ensure stability. I’m attentive to behavior changes, mindful of surroundings on walks, and proactive about preventing any safety risks, so owners can feel confident their pets are protected and well cared for.

About: What sets me apart is my patience, flexibility, and genuine love for animals. I understand that pets, like people, need time to warm up, so I always work on their schedule — not mine. As a mom of two college students, caring for pets fills my heart and time with purpose. I’m dependable, respectful of your home, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and understood. As a flexible part-time worker, I don’t mind driving or going the extra mile to make sure your home and pets are cared for like family I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible. Whether in my home or yours, I provide a calm, loving environment where pets feel comfortable and secure. I take time to earn their trust, give them space when needed, and show affection when they’re ready. I handle feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions with care and attention to detail—just as I would for my own pets. My goal is to keep them happy, healthy, and stress-free while you’re away.
About: As a pet caregiver, my experience has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of pets, including cats and dogs and even rabbits. Each pet has its own unique personality and needs, and I make sure to tailor my care to suit each individual animal. From feeding and grooming to providing exercise and playtime, I take pride in providing the highest level of care to ensure that the pets are healthy and happy. One of the most rewarding aspects of my pet care experience is seeing the joy on the pets' faces and the bond that we form over time. I truly believe that pets bring so much love and happiness into our lives, and it is an honor to be able to give back to them through my work. I make sure to follow the pet owner's instructions carefully, so that the pets receive the same level of care and attention they are accustomed to. I love spending time with the pets, playing and cuddling with them, and making sure they feel loved and secure. I’m able to provide consistent morning, evening, and check-in visits, and I’m flexible with timing when needed. I plan my week in advance so I can reliably accommodate bookings while still giving each pet my full attention. Since caring for animals is already part of my everyday life, I’m comfortable balancing multiple visits and making sure each pet gets the time, care, and consistency they need. n clients’ homes, I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I follow all feeding instructions, stick to their usual schedules, and make sure they always have fresh water, clean litter boxes (for cats), and a tidy environment. I also spend time with them based on their personality—whether that’s playtime, enrichment, or just calm companionship so they feel safe and not alone. I pay close attention to behavior and overall well-being during each visit, and I make sure the home is respected and left just as I found it. My goal is always to reduce stress for both the pet and the owner by providing consistent, attentive care in their familiar environment.

“Great stay! Both dogs had a blast and you could tell they were all tired out from running around. Sarah was even able to help my Cassie with her injured tail and medicine, no problem. I would definitely book again.”

“Shannon was fantastic! She communicated well with us while she watched our boy! She sent pictures to show he was doing fine!

“Stacie was amazing with our pups! We had another dog sitter cancel the day before we were supposed to leave and she was able to keep them last minute. She kept us up to date and sent us pictures! Will definitely be using her again!”

“This was our second time using Katie and Edward. One of our dogs had an ear infection and needed to be given ear drop medication during her stay. Katie took good care of both of dogs. We will use her again.”

“Awesome sitter! She took care of my dog like it was her own. Sent daily pics, and responded right away with any questions I had. Pricing was more than reasonable. Will definitely use again. Highly recommended!!”

“Chelsea was absolutely wonderful. First time using Rover and my husband and I were very pleased with Chelsea's kindness and professionalism with taking care of our pet. Will most definitely be contacting her again in the future!”

About: Hello! My name is Marieta and I live in a house with a large yard in Edwardsville, IL. I would love to watch your dog(s) for the day and/or overnight. I am an experienced dog walker & have also cared for dogs, ranging from small to large breeds, for the last couple of years. I absolutely love dogs - I've had dogs all throughout my life until recently. I work from home, thus, I am able to provide constant attention, long walks, and overall engagement. My husbans can assist any time that I may be busy. He is also a pet lover! We are available almost all week and weekend days/nights. We are flexible and have no problem with last minute calls. We are also available to watch your pet(s) for an extended period of time! I currently work from home and much flexibility to spend lots of time with your dog. We have a large yard and live in a great neighborhood for walks. We recently lost our soul dog of 9 years so we’re very experienced with the level of comfort and attention that a dog needs throughout the day.
“We had an incredible experience with Quia’s furry friends. Our sweet pup Ruby was very timid and anxious to be at a dog sitters and Quia went above and beyond to care for Ruby and make her comfortable. Quia also kept me up to date with over a dozen photos and videos letting me know how Ruby was acclimating and assuring me of all the steps she was taking (assuring Ruby with extra treats and pets, taking her on walks and outtings, playing a recording of my voice for Ruby when she was unsure). Quia was obviously very experienced and knew the perfect approach to helping our dog feel comfortable and safe in a new environment!! We cannot recommend Quia enough and she will definitely be our go-to if we need a dog sitter again.”

“Teddy had a wonderful stay with Cait and her family. We got frequent updates and we could tell that he was being spoiled and treated like family. We felt comfortable leaving Teddy with Cait and he is already looking forward to spending more time with Honey again.”

“Catherine was great! Coordinating the booking was a breeze. She was very nice and attentive to my pup, Tammy who was so tired from all the playing during her stay. When I picked her up she was in great spirits and couldn't stop smiling the rest of the day. She really enjoyed her time spent with Catherine. I will book again and highly recommend to anyone.”

“If I could give Jamicia 100 stars, I would. My dog Chuck got the ultimate VIP treatment and is depressed now that he is home. 🙂 Jamicia is the only person I will leave my fur baby with. She is genuinely the very best.”

“Our 2 chihuahua mixes had a great stay with Nicole and her family! Absolutely no issues; Nicole was very accommodating. Will use her again if needed! Thanks for everything!”
