About: I’ve had all kinds of animals growing up. Dogs, horses, cats, goats, a parakeet or two, I love animals so much. I have a ton of dog experience from puppies to seniors. I also understand the anxiety of leaving your pets alone and the importance of having someone you can trust to care for your pets when you have to be away. From 2010 to 2018, my APBT was trained as a therapy animal, we did hospital visits and library events with children. I taught him several tricks, such as left, right, speak, play dead. My current pit is a rescue and I am off leash training. Dog Walking: I work in the Kankakee area, so coming to walk your dog in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, is NO problem! Either in the mornings (after 7am) and/or later in the evenings (8ish pm) it's all negotiable. I live in Iroquois county, so I have more availability to walk your dog if you are in that area. Pet Sitting: I can come to sit in your home, if that is preferred. I am also available to just come let them outside, spend time and play, feed, water, clean up. Boarding: I would love to open our home to your precious babies. Non smoking, fenced in yard, lots of walks in my small town. My dog friendly pup can't wait to play tag around the dining room table. About: I worked full time for a shelter and loved working with every animal there. Meeting them at their level so that their needs were completely fulfilled was my passion. Whether they were high or low energy, dim or bright, friendly or not, I thrived on figuring out what would make the the most adoptable and what would make them most comfortable in the harsh shelter environment. It was a difficult and demanding job at times especially when I needed to provide first aid or medication/therapy for ailing animals but I always enjoyed coming home knowing I did something that meant something to those parent-less pets. I also had the lovely opportunity to work the social media for the shelter and take photos and videos of each animal to best display their personalities to the wider public who wouldn't normally see them otherwise. I currently work part time with very flexible hours so I am frequently available to provide service to both my own pets and others. I find it very fulfilling to be able to make time for my own furry friends! Working in a shelter environment I often met many animals at their lowest when they were beyond scared and upset. I got exposure to many dogs and cats that were horribly unadapted to life around people and had personalities on either end of the spectrum. I am more than comfortable with animals that are more aggressive in both appearance and personality and was frequently tasked with retrieving abandoned or lost animals using the company van.
