“Theresa is simply amazing. She came through for my fur baby at the last minute when we needed to leave town. She was kind, patient and answered all of my questions to help soothe any anxieties with leaving my fur baby in someone else’s care. She was on time for pickup and drop off. She sent pictures and responded to text and phone calls promptly. You can’t go wrong with Theresa!!”

“Boarding with Summer was great! She made it all very easy and I was never worried about my dog. She even sent a picture of him and gave me some updates to let me know that he was doing well.”

“Mary and her husband are absolutely wonderful caregivers! I received daily updates about my Ivy and they were very sweet, loving and caring with her. I highly recommend Mary to anyone who needs to be able to trust 100% that their fur babies will be well cared for!”

“Charley is the best! Our dog had quite a bit of separation anxiety when we rescued her and Charley was there to support us through it all. We recently boarded our Willow for the first time and she loved it! We received frequent picture updates and were able to check in whenever we needed to. We highly recommend Charley to anyone looking for a dog sitter. She truly loves the dogs like her own.”

About: Hi! My family has had dogs my whole life and I currently have a dog myself, she is 4 years old. While i’m newer to pet sitting, I’m responsible, patient, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable. I already take daily walks as part of my routine, so caring for pets fits in very naturally. I enjoy having a dog join me—it makes the time more enjoyable while ensuring they get consistent, relaxed exercise. For dog walks, I make sure they get safe, relaxed exercise during my daily walking time. I pay attention to their pace, energy level, and comfort, and I always keep them on a secure leash. At my home, I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely spend time outside for potty breaks and fresh air. I make sure they are always supervised and safe while outdoors.
“Tanya was absolutely amazing with our dog Toby! From our first meet and greet, she was warm, professional, and clearly experienced with pets. While we were away, she sent daily updates and photos that showed Toby was relaxed, happy, and getting lots of love and attention. It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was in such capable hands. Tanya went above and beyond, and we’re so grateful. Highly recommend her to anyone on Rover!”

“I am definitely going back to Barbara. My puppy had a really good time with her and I can tell she is very knowledgeable and caring. I'm glad I chose her as a dog sitter.”

“Traci provided a wonderful experience for my pup! It was my first time leaving her since I adopted her and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the whole experience. Traci made my girl feel right at home and sent me updates and pictures that really eased any worries I may have had. I will definitely request Traci again in the future.”

“Jonna took AMAZING care of our Blaike. Her and her family were gentle, attentive, caring, loving, and kind to her. They helped ease her anxiety, made sure she was always comfortable and secure, and gave her so much love, rubs, and affection. They truly treated her like a member of the family. We will absolutely be utilizing her Boarding services for our next trip, and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter. Thank you so much Jonna!!😊❤️❤️❤️”

“Wow!!! I cannot say enough amazingly awesome things about Samantha!! We have two very large German Shepherds who require quite a bit of special care. Samantha was great with our big dogs!! She showed them unbelievable amounts of love and attention from our first intro visit to the very last day of their stay. Our boys were very comfortable and very well loved. She sent pictures and kept in touch with us the whole time. Could not have asked for more!! Thanks Sam!! XOXO Thor & Zeus”

“Julia was absolutely a dream! She took such incredible care of our Weimaraner, Mozzie. Great communication, great photos and she made sure he had his own vacation while we were away! 10/10 and will rebook again!”

“Duke had a great time with Chris, Dan and their pups! Would definitely recommend and would schedule with them again while we are visiting my parents in Illinois.”

“Mary is just the best! She absolutely loves dogs and goes out of her way to make you and your furry baby feel like they are at home! I feel like she’s part of the family and cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Mary!!”

“Jilly was great! We appreciated her quick response to our request. Charlie seemed to really enjoy his stay at the farm. Jilly also shared updates and photos with us which was really nice.”

“I feel like we have found a diamond in the rough. Jacqueline, Kris and Bella are so kind and truly are dog lovers. We received updates with pictures during Piper's stay. Their fenced in yard was perfect for Piper to run and sniff. Cannot say enough positive remarks regarding the excellent care Piper received. We highly recommend Jacqueline's family for daycare or boarding, and will be boarding again in the future!”

“The best sitters on this app! Absolutely professional in the way of doing things and unbelievably lovely with the dog. I’ve left my pup with them twice and she refuses to leave their place when I pick her back up. Super friendly couple and very much involved in their care towards dogs. Thomas and Emily always accommodated my requests and were super helpful in giving my pups medication too. I would 100% recommend them, the best dog sitters ive come across so far!!!”

About: I’ve taken care of my sweet 70 lb pit bull for 4 years now in my home with a fully fenced backyard, downstairs dog play area, private room and crate for your dog, and eufy camera access to the private room. My dog has esophageal dysmotility so I understand medically complicated dogs. My home is ideal for a dog that is lower energy and enjoys calm and quiet environments. I work remote so I am home throughout the day other than the occasional doctor appointment. On average when I leave the home, it’s usually only about 2 hours and the max is about 4 hours. I also take my dog to a home groomer every other week so I can coordinate with you to take your dog to my groomer when my dog goes for grooming for an extra cost plus you paying the groomer separately. The most important thing is that your dog and my dog get along and/or are neutral. When I leave for brief periods your dog will be crated in their private room with the door closed and my dog will be loose but without access to your dog. Note: I DO NOT take dogs on walks. I believe it is too high risk for potential altercation with other dogs or your pet and I being separated. The alternative will be my backyard where they can play and explore and also I have a downstairs dog play area with a large dog bed and many toys! I work fully remote so your dog will be with me at all times (unless I have an appointment or errand to run) either in my office, their own private room with a crate, or in the living room. I typically wake up around 6 am and pet care happens whenever my dog needs so I can do the same for your dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding and play time. I am typically in bed by 8 pm but will get up if needed to take my dog out to the bathroom as well. Safety is my main priority. I require that our dogs get along/are neutral to one another to prevent any sort of altercation. If there ever is an altercation, you would be informed immediately and the dogs can easily be separated for the rest of the day/boarding booking. I have a very quiet and calm home and live in a quiet neighborhood as well. I take breaks during work to get on the couch and spend time with my dog and will do the same for yours! Your dog must be crate trained and will be put in a crate for any time I must leave the home (max 4 hours at a time). Your dog will also have to be either in their crate or in their private room with the door closed while I sleep. Them being able to be in their private room with the door closed while I sleep will be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Note: I DO NOT take dogs on walks. I believe it is too high of a safety risk for potential altercation with other dogs or your pet and I being separated. The alternative will be my backyard where they can play and explore and also I have a downstairs dog play area with a large dog bed and many toys!

“Jaymee was so kind to come for a meet and greet. She asked great questions and got all necessary information. During her drop-ins, she sent updates, photo and video. I felt safe and comfortable leaving my furball in her care. Will book many times again!”

“This was our first experience with our 1-year-old cat named Stan being away from us. Teresa was amazing at communicating and also would send cute pictures of Stanley. I would highly recommend her to my friends and family who are looking for someone to watch their pet. When me and my fiance went to pick up our little dude he looked absolutely so comfortable outside relaxing in the beautiful weather and looked like he was part of the family. If we ever tend to leave even for a small vacation I would definitely 100% see if Teresa was available to watch our baby. We can't thank you enough Teresa people know how stressful it is to leave their fur babies anywhere but you made this experience so easy and comforting. Rover is lucky to have you respenting them.”

“Taylor was the best cat sitter we have ever had, she took very good care of Luna and made him feel comfortable with her and her cat and her husband because Luna doesn’t really like men but got along with him. Taylor is a great communicator, she gives you daily updates on how your fur baby is doing with pictures and everything. Needless to say we never had to worry for a second about Luna and we will most definitely have her watch Luna again.”

“They did a great job taking care of my cat, Erika, who was not very happy about us leaving for a few days. Brittany sent me a picture of Erika each day, even when she was being uncooperative and trying to hide. She was responsive to text messages and kept me updated. I definitely recommend Brittany and Branson!”

“Medea did a fantastic job looking after my 2 cats! One of my cats gets separation anxiety when I leave so when traveling I always worry about him, but Medea did a great job checking in on them and I returned from my trip to 2 safe and happy cats. I’ll definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Drew was very attentive with my fur babies!! She followed all instructions and was able to adjust when my dog ran to other dogs. She was able to remain calm and wrangle them back in the house. Her communication was superb and I never had to worry about getting ahold of her. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Amanda was an incredible help while I was away taking such great care of my cats! She went above and beyond, not only making sure they were well cared for but also leaving my home even cleaner than when she arrived. Her daily updates were so thoughtful and reassuring, giving me total peace of mind. Plus, she has such a great vibe—I feel like we’d get along so well in everyday life! Thank you so much, Amanda!”

About: I have lots of years of animal care, animal sitting and house sitting. I've walked dogs of all sizes, big, small, etc. I've been doing pet care since I was about 14 years old, and use to house sit for a close friend of mine for years where I would feed the dogs, let them out to use the restroom, and stay to play with them. Now that I've moved to the Rockford area, I'm looking to establish trust, and offer the best care for your fur babies. I work full time, Monday through Friday. I can let animals out for potty breaks and food bowl checks after 6pm CST on the weekdays, or even late evening walks. Otherwise, weekends are completely open for walks, housesitting, and even overnights. I always make sure that your pet is safe, whether you have a fence, crate, or leash to keep them on. Before leaving, I'll make sure that the house is locked up, and that the pet is safe in their crate if needed. I do a quick last check to top off the water, food, and I'll provide plenty of updates if you wish to know how your dog or cat is doing.

“Laurel took such good care of our Chloe! She arrived on time and we loved the pics she sent each time she was here. This was our first time using Rover and we will definitely use it again!”

“Theresa took in our dog on short notice and provided overnight care when we had a bit of a family emergency out of town. She took several photos and provided updates as well. We will continue to trust our somewhat special needs dog with her. It seems clear that our dog enjoys staying there as well. Which brings us a lot of peace about trusting our dog with someone. Thank you, Theresa, for your love and care for our little member of our family!”

About: We moved to Cherry Valley 2 years ago. I am a dog mom of two sweet and passive poodle mix girls (no children). I work full-time online as a college professor so I am home with my dogs during the day. I have a doctorate in Teaching and Learning, MA in Educational Leadership, and a BA in English. I used to be a k-12 classroom teacher before teaching college online full-time. I am am passionate about animals. I have a large fenced yard. My neighborhood is quiet and pedestrian friendly. I love all dogs! I’m used to caring for dogs from 8 week old puppies to seniors. I have experience with insulin dependent pups and deaf dogs. I love chihuahuas to mastiffs. I promise your dog will get the very best love, attention, care, and endless fun! My dogs are used to me being home all day. I never leave the house for more than an hour or two, and that is typically on weekends or in the evening. My dogs are very secure and spoiled by my attention, and yours will be, too! My two sweet female dogs are both spayed and are very friendly to other dogs and people. Prior to moving to IL, I fostered dogs and watched other animals on Rover.
“Jennifer is the best! I was nervous at first because I’m very selective about who I trust with my baby, but she immediately reassured me and took the time to explain her process. She is not only flexible, but incredibly understanding, and the way she truly cares about your dog is one of a kind. Jennifer is excellent with communication she provided consistent updates and photos throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind. I highly recommend her!”

“Lenny had a great experience at doggy daycare. He’s a rescue and a little shy at first, but the Dan made him feel safe and comfortable right away. I really appreciate the caring environment and attention they give the dogs. 🐾”

“Charley and Anthony are amazing sitters for my pup Wrigley. I will not leave my baby with just anyone. Wrigley has so much fun when he goes over to their house for daycare. I will admit I was hesitant in the beginning because I have never left my pets with anyone. I can honestly say, I totally trust Charley and Anthony, and I absolutely have no issues leaving Wrigley with them ever. Charley sends pictures all the time showing me how much fun Wrigley is having every day he is there. I would definitely recommend using them as a sitter for your pets. Wrigley is very spoiled while he is there, and I believe that they treat him the same as I do at home. Again, I love my baby to death and I have no issues about sending him to daycare with Charley or Anthony ever. I was given their name by a friend who also uses them and highly recommended them. I am so glad I found someone I can trust. I am looking to use them for an extended stay while my husband and I go on a mini vacation at some point. I know I won’t have any worries while we’re gone because he will be in great hands and he will also be able to enjoy more playtime with his friend Princess… ❤️❤️🐶❤️❤️”

“Let me start off by saying that Ella was absolutely amazing!!! I mean from start to finish she is phenomenal, her energy is amazing and she took care of my dog so so well!! She communicated the entire time and sent pictures and my dog looked replaced and happy! My dog is usually anxious in the car but for some reason when I picked her up she was relaxed and calmed which ensured she was comfortable and is beginning to recognize that I will always come back got her. Ella you are truly an angel and I look forward to future visits”

“OMG OMG!!! this lady is the BOMB… my mom got sick in icu (she passed away) but it was too much for my service dog in the icu so I reached out to her and she was AMAZING! Last minute sit and she jumped at the chance. I felt so good leaving my best friend in her care and I left my dog with NO one before. The love the care the pictures she sent me. BOOK HER NOW you won’t regret it! I felt so relaxed knowing my best friend was in great hands that I could relax and spend the last few days with my mom!!! THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU!!!”

“Jolly and Kenbob are great people. After meeting and talking with Kenbob we had no qualms about leaving Bailey in trusted hands for the day. Would definitely call them again when we are in the area.”

“Lauren was so good to our dog who is shy but super friendly. She made him feel at home and played his favorite game of fetch. He was tired when he came home and he slept the entire night. We will definitely use Lauren again. She even sent a little video of him to us.”

“Claudia is a loving, caring and responsible pet owner. She cared for my dog like he was her own. It's awesome that she has a backyard and the neighborhood is very nice. I also appreciate that she works from home so my dog always has someone around. You will really enjoy getting to know Claudia. She is a very caring person.”

About: I've been a dog owner for 20 years. Over the last 10 years, friends, family and neighbors have entrusted me with taking care of their dogs. 2 years ago, I took on the venture of fostering dogs in my home. My experience with them has been with puppies through adult dogs. Special needs dogs are welcome too, as I have experience with dogs with seizure disorder and other chronic issues. During the time the foster dogs are in my care, I work to establish a routine, learn basic commands and household manners. I work from home Monday-Friday. My pets (and fosters) stay in my office with me when I working. I am able to care for your pets during my breaks, lunchtime and after hours. My weekends can be a bit more busy, but I can be flexible in working with your needs. I have a small fenced in yard for the dogs to stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and of course relieve themselves. Indoors, I do have crates available if your dogs needs some alone, quiet time. My dogs have their own room to offer a safe space for them. The dogs are never left unattended to ensure they don't get into something they are not suppose to. If watching the dog in your home, I will follow any instructions that you give to ensure your dog's safety and happiness.
“Abigail took care of my dog multiple times while my parents were out of town and I was at work. He was there for long periods of times and he loved every minute. I was nervous to send him in the beginning because he’s very high energy, but she provided pictures so I felt at ease and he was having a great time with the other dogs. He was exhaust at the end of the day and excited to go back!”

We care for pets by taking them on walks throughout the day and ensuring each one is catered to for its individual needs. We would love to watch your furbaby today! Reach out with any questions. “I’ve used Rover in the past and after an initial meeting, have had great luck with dog walkers. Michelle is even a step above those walkers. Her kindness and patience in allowing my timid dog to get used to her slowly, over a few visits, was such a relief. Michelle’s a rockstar! 😊”

About: I’ve had pets all my life. My family is full of animal lovers and they know they can rely on me if they need someone to care for their pet for any reason. I have experience with end of life care for cats, administering pills and fluids to cats, and feeding cats by mouth with a syringe. For example, one of my cats has a hyperthyroid and acid reflux and takes pills to manage it, and another has arthritis and takes a liquid medication orally to manage it. I primarily have experience caring for cats, dogs and hamsters. Petsitting is my focus, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets. I’m normally available for house sitting both weekdays and weekends, however I do have my own obligations and pets of my own to care for, so I must be able to leave for ~4 to 5 hours at some times. Due to this, I am not always able to accept requests for constant care (meaning pets who cannot be left alone for more than 1-3 hours, as an example). I spend as much quality time with my clients as I can, giving them plenty of love and attention. I love cuddling with them if they’re cuddlers and using their favorite toys when I play with them. I cannot take on higher energy dogs to care for, as I cannot provide them with the stimulation and exercise they need to thrive. In addition to Rover’s Guarantee, I am insured and bonded through PCI.

I have plenty of time to focus on your pets and give them the care and attention they deserve! I am open to doing whatever your normal routine is! I have experience with all kinds of care instructions including first aid and medications. Just let me know!
“Hurt my leg last month and can't walk my dog. I'm so glad my vet and a couple trainers recommended Rover. Medea's been walking my baby a couple of weeks now. Caoimhe's been so much better behaved now that she's getting some exercise again. Medea is even continuing the training I'd been working on with her. Appreciate Medea so much!”

I’m currently enrolled in college and only working part time, so I’m looking to see if I can help others out like how they’ve helped me. I will feed your pets, take them out or let them use the restroom, I will love and give them as much attention as possible.
About: I have had dogs since I was born. My family has always had a dog. For 18 years, I had my own dogs. I’ve also watched friends and family member’s dogs. I will go to their houses and let their dogs out for them, walk them, etc. I work part time at a local elementary school as a TA. I only work 5.5 hrs a day, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pet. I have a fenced in yard and a 10 year old that would love to play with your dog if I’m not! I can put them in a crate if need be. I’d love to take them for a ride too! If I go to your house, I will respect your property and your dog’s things.

About: For 12 wonderful years, I had the joy of loving my own dog, and for the past decade, I’ve been capturing the personalities of pets through photography even volunteering to photograph foster animals to help them find forever homes. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I can’t imagine life without. Now, I’d be honored to give your furry friend the same love, attention, and joy I gave my own keeping tails wagging and hearts happy while you’re away. I currently work at a local middle school. I plan to offer pet services on days I am off work and our school breaks. Perfect for any vacations you have planned, I will be available. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep them leashed and secure during walks, and make sure doors and gates are always locked behind me. I’ll check food, water, and comfort levels at every visit — and send you photo updates so you can see their happy face while you’re away. You can trust me to treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I give my own.

Whatever your needs, I promise I may have already done! I am able to drop-in early mornings, but will do most walking/care after 12pm some weekdays due to school. I volunteer at the Prairie land conservancy, so some random times I may be busy, but I promise for good reason!! I am available most weekends. Your pet’s safety is really important to me. I make sure they’re always supervised and comfortable. I follow instructions closely, including feeding times, walks, crate routines, and any medications.

About: I’ve been taking care of neighbors pets for 10 years! Neighbors have relied on me to feed their pets, bathe them, walk them and play with them!!! I have a baby and my schedule is completely open! Any days of the week! Whatever works best for you, i will work with to make sure you are happy and comfortable!!! I have a back door that leads to a field that i can take your pets out on! And maybe throw a toy and ball around!!!
“So thankful for the love and care Dasher received from Nic! Not only did my puppy feel safe, he enjoyed his time playing with their dogs, and being spoiled to make him feel comfortable!
