I have cared for family, friends and my own pets since 2009 - feeding, watering, training and administering medication. I worked for The Animal Hospital of Monticello from December 2021-September 2023 where I cared for many different breeds of cats and dogs, at many different age and health levels. I am familiar with animal first aid and am regularly educating myself on medical concerns/treatments because health is my #1 priority. I also love to learn about animal behavior (of all sorts-I'm very nerdy), enrichment and training because I believe a mentally and physically happy animal is a healthy one. They train, play, eat and snuggle with me all day. I also have a twelve year old, so If we humans have errands, vacations or an emergency-I let the pet parents know as far in advance as possible. I have two very friendly Australian Shepherd type dogs, an 12 year old human child, a husband and a cat of my own. (Somehow we all get along!) Your fur baby will have the comfort of lots of friends nearby if they come to stay with us. I do require dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations, dog & cat friendly and kennel trained if boarding with me. (So during quiet times they have a familiar, safe and secure place for them to go if they're feeling overwhelmed, or if I need to separate anyone for any reason. I also believe it's simply safer for the dog in case of an emergency.) All animals are allowed on the furniture and often I will find myself snuggling on the couch with the babies. My family also has knowledge on animal care and handling so your fur baby will be under the best care no matter who is in the room. When stopping in I will spend 30 or 60 minutes with your pet baby (depending on your choice: there is a up charge for 60 minutes) feeding, watering, playing, pottying and walking. When choosing the 60 minutes I will also do basic obedience and manners training with your dog. I could try with cats but I can't guarantee my results. I also love pet photography so taking photos of your babies will be a free service offered along with their stay or stop ins. This will NOT be guaranteed every time.

About: I grew up with animals of all kinds and love to be around them. I have experience with all kinds and ages, from newborn to super seniors. Two of my childhood dogs required medication, I have experience administering injections and oral medications. I also have experience administering topical and oral medications to cats. I have few routine obligations and will likely be able to make any pet sitting requests a priority. I am generally available from about 8:30am until 11pm every day. I can stop by on whatever schedule you desire and interact with your pet(s) as close to the way you would as I can. My goal is to provide care as similar to yours as possible so that your pet is comfortable and enjoys their time with me. With drop in care, I will be sure to administer medications, feed, water, and groom as instructed as well as cleaning litter boxes and extra gifts, and, of course, providing desired attention. About: I have owned dogs since I was 8 years old! From raising two puppies to housing a friends dog temporarily, I have acquired experience with training dogs as small as french bulldogs to as big as pitbulls! I have a passion for animals and truly treat them as family. I work part-time in the summer at a retail store where the shifts are 4 hours (but with enough notice I can request off and be available for all your pups needs!) I currently attend the U of I in Urbana-Champaign, but can pet sit/drop in most Fridays-Mondays! While I cannot offer a space in my home for your pup, I can assure you that your dog will be taken very good care of in your home and that I will do my utmost to ensure your environment is left as untouched as possible!

I am well trained in various routes of medicine administration as a result and love every dog I meet. I just want to be able to make a difference for the pets and their families within my community. I do currently work a full time schedule as a veterinary technician, and study part time, so I generally have a rather busy schedule. About: I’m an animal science major with plans to pursue veterinary medicine, and caring for animals—especially dogs—is truly what lights me up. During high school, I was the go-to neighborhood dog walker, caring for dogs ranging from large breeds to small pups, which helped grow my confidence and love for working with all kinds of dogs. I also have four years of hands-on experience in a busy dog daycare, where I’ve worked with pups of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—from energetic zoomie experts to shy cuddle bugs. Before, after, and during my break your dog will have plenty of time to potty and play. I focus on keeping their routine as consistent, safe, and comfortable as possible. I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, including feeding times, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions, so they feel secure and stress-free.
