About: Hi! My name is Nikki and I’ve lived with dogs and cats since I was a toddler. I always loved helping my parents and grandma with our many pets while growing up, but it wasn’t until I graduated high school that I decided to start expanding to pet-sitting for my friends as well! I was always happy to spend time with and gain knowledge from their furry friends. Two years after high school, I adopted a sweet husky puppy. He was just 8 weeks old when I took him home and I quickly realized raising a puppy is A LOT of work (but worth it!!). After a long journey of trial and error and 4 training classes together, he’s the best friend I could ask for. Three years later my dad rescued 3 more husky puppies, who I also helped raise! About: I started my care for animals 22 years ago in a non profit animal shelter. Since then I’ve been able to gain my experience through many different roles within the field of non profit shelter work and finally working up to a vet tech. I’ve been able to use the skills of vet tech in shelter as well as a private practice for the past 10 years. About: Hey friends! I graduated with an AAS in Veterinary Technology in 2019 from Muscatine, Iowa. I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2020 and I absolutely love it. I have a large passion for animal care and know that they deserve as much love as people do. My family and friends have always had animals as well, so I’ve helped with them here and there. About: I started my care for animals 22 years ago in a non profit animal shelter. Since then I’ve been able to gain my experience through many different roles within the field of non profit shelter work and finally working up to a vet tech. I’ve been able to use the skills of vet tech in shelter as well as a private practice for the past 10 years. I’ve handled everything from neonates who need round the clock assistance to senior pets who need special medications/care or even I pets that are diabetic and need insulin. They will be let out to potty every 2-4 hours. I have dogs and cats in my household so they would need to be friendly with other pets but I’m alway good with sitting at your home as well.
