About: I have been around animals my entire life. I once had dreams of being a vet and spent two summers as an intern at a vet clinic, but learned quickly that that is not necessarily the career to choose just because you love animals, haha. That being said, I love both dogs and cats and have been a volunteer at animal shelters since 2017. I currently have a sweet but shy 6 year old cat named Rhiannon. I work remotely on weekdays, so I am home throughout the day for companionship and frequent potty breaks, if needed. I love to go on evening walks in my local park as well. I live in a single family home with an unfenced yard, but any bathroom breaks would be under my full watch and care. I have one sweet but shy cat, but she has her own room if your pet is not okay with other animals.

My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.

However, with just 2 visits a day Rebecca divided her with enough engagement and affection that we never received even one notification over a 3 day period!! We are entering our older years and Lucy is a young dog. There are some rules that we have for her so that she does not become too exuberant for our aging bodies. Rebecca, listened to those closely when she met us and reinforced them for us, when she was here. That is very important to us for Lucy's overall training and for us being able to keep her for a long time. When we did the meet and greet with Rebecca, Lucy formed an attachment to her. We used Rebecca's name often during that visit. When I told Lucy that we were leaving for 3 days, her ears went down - when I told her Rebecca was coming to visit her ears perked up.”
About: I absolutely adore cats and recently became a cat parent myself. I have 2 cats that are both about a year old, and I adopted the first 6 months ago. Before that, I have handled cats in a clinic setting, in homes, and at the animal shelter I work at. Since then, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals — dogs, cats, birds, Guinea pigs, lizards, and other small companions — and have also fostered extensively for my local animal shelter and I loved every minute of it. My foster work has included animals in hospice; seniors; dogs going through heartworm treatment; those with serious behavior issues; advanced starvation cases; kidney disease; and pets with other complex medical needs, so I am very comfortable following detailed treatment plans, giving medications, and monitoring changes in behavior or health. I understand how important consistency and attention to detail are, especially when your furry family needs extra care. However complex the case, I always look for ways to make your pet happy in addition to healthy, whether that be an extra slow walk with lots of sniffing, an enrichment toy with diet-approved snacks, or just some quiet time on the couch together. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime instructions exactly as given.

I don’t have pets of my own right now, but I’ve been pet sitting on and off for several years and have cared for friends’ dogs, cats, fish, and hamsters. I replenish their food and water twice each day and socialize with them every day. Drop-In Visits: I am very flexible and adaptable to most environments and most needs of my clients and their humans. Please read my entire profile including the introduction area where I mention how Rover adds additional booking fees to my rates. Day Care and/or Boarding: All my animals are up-to-date on vaccines. My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.

Gilana was kind, communicative, and clearly made Edison feel right at home. I also felt extra confident that Edison was in good hands knowing she is training in the veterinary field. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, and I love them all. I’m good about watching temperament in animals and making sure everything is going smoothly. I can do simple training like sit and lie down. I can’t wait to meet and love on your pup/senior. :) I work 8-4 Monday through Friday. My job is pretty lax when it comes to coming and going! I get an hour lunch break around 1:30. Once I’m off at 4 I’m usually home for the night, but if I’m not your pet will be with me or crated! Whether we are burning energy with interactive toys or cuddling on the couch, your pets comfort and routine come first. I provide fresh water always, stick to your feeding schedules, and will give update pictures throughout their stay!

It was always stressful for me if I had to travel and worry about my dogs but Michelle made it so easy for me this time. She’s so awesome communicating on scheduling and understanding how to take better care of my dogs. My pup is super anxious and she did her best to help her eat her food and gave her all the time she needed to potty and do her business. She also gave my pup her meds which isn’t always easy! About: My husband and I have a high energy 1 year old German shorthair pointer who LOVES other dogs. Dogs are meant to be apart of the family so they should be treated that way! We raised him from 8 weeks old so have experience with puppies and high energy dogs. Before getting fisher, I dog sat for multiple families throughout college, I will be the ne taking care of your furry friends as my Husband is busy at work. I am a hairstylist with a very flexible schedule and am rarely gone longer than 4 hours, I am also not working every day & am home a lot. My husband is a football coach at the university of Illinois! Your dog will be apart of the family in our home and will come back to you tired from playing with our Fisher! My husband and I have a high energy 1 year old German shorthair pointer who LOVES other dogs. We have a fenced in yard and dogs are allowed in the house/on furniture.
