Last year, we had to say goodbye to our 16 year old dog, and I miss having animals in the house. I find a way to alleviate that is to send pictures often. Because I am retired, I would be able to be with pets most of the day. I would let them out every couple of hours - more if needed. I can follow any schedule for feeding. I am really flexible and would be able to accommodate most schedules. I would make sure to keep a close eye on your dog while we were hanging out together. Dogs are definitely allowed on furniture (unless you prefer they not be). I can put a dog in a crate if that is comfortable for them as well. Our yard is not fenced, but it is a large yard in the woods. I can also take dogs for walk around our neighborhood or to the riverwalk in downtown Dixon. We also have a property about 15 miles south of Dixon with 80 acres and a pond, so a trip there could be fun as well.

About: I have had animals my whole life. This past May, I was lucky enough to retire from 33+ years of teaching. Since 2022, I have volunteered at Tails Animal Shelter walking dogs. Last year, we had to say goodbye to our 16 year old dog, and I miss having animals in the house. While I am not ready to get a new dog, I am very excited to take care of other's dogs like they were my own. Whether it is your pet coming to our house or me going to your home, I cannot wait to keep your furry friend company. Communication is a key issue for me. I worried about my dog all the time. I find a way to alleviate that is to send pictures often. Because I am retired, I would be able to be with pets most of the day. I would let them out every couple of hours - more if needed. I can follow any schedule for feeding. I am really flexible and would be able to accommodate most schedules. I would make sure to keep a close eye on your dog while we were hanging out together. Dogs are definitely allowed on furniture (unless you prefer they not be). I can put a dog in a crate if that is comfortable for them as well. Our yard is not fenced, but it is a large yard in the woods. I can also take dogs for walk around our neighborhood or to the riverwalk in downtown Dixon. We also have a property about 15 miles south of Dixon with 80 acres and a pond, so a trip there could be fun as well.
