“Audra and her son do an awesome job caring for Wrigley! Audra tends to have great availability for watching my dog when I need someone. She communicates quickly when I'm checking her availability and provides lots of updates while my dog is in her care. Love having someone responsible and caring to count on to care for my dog when I have to be gone.”

“Here’s a polished positive review you could use: Kristen was absolutely wonderful watching my two boy dogs while I was on vacation. She was friendly, reliable, and very communicative throughout the entire stay, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated regularly and was always quick to respond to messages. Most importantly, my boys absolutely loved her! It was clear they were well cared for, happy, and comfortable in her care. I would highly recommend Kristen to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter, and I would gladly book with her again.”

“Always trust Lainey with my girl! She has taken care of her as she has grown up and has gotten to know my puppy so well! My dog gets to go on vacation when she boards with her!”

“I can’t recommend Elisse enough! She was an absolute gem when it comes to taking care of my pup. From the very first meet-and-greet, it was clear that she genuinely love animals and go above and beyond to ensure every pet feels comfortable, happy, and loved. I got regular updated and photos during my visit.”

“Lindsay was great with Belle. She knew I was concerned because it was her first visit. She updated me with pictures and let me know how she was doing. I will definitely take Belle to Lindsay’s again.”

About: I have spent my entire life caring for animals. Throughout my life I have had many animals from birds and Guinea pigs to cats and dogs. Koda, my youngest dog was completely trained by me in German commands. Working with dogs to learn new things is one of my favorite things to do. With experience from my own pets, I have many reliable references I have gained over the years that can vouch for me on my loving, dedicated, and superior care with their fur babies. I am currently a nanny and have almost completely open availability. I work Monday through Thursday during the day but can still do visits anytime! And I’m off Friday through Sunday so anytime those days as well! When visiting your home I am happy to provide any services you may need for your pet. This includes special feeding instructions, medication distribution, daily walks, baths, guaranteed playtime, and more all while treating them as my own with so much love! I am also happy to do drop in visits while you are at work or walks to get your babies steps in.

Having grown up on a farm myself, I understand the responsibility that comes with caring for animals large and small, as well as maintaining a home and property with respect and reliability. About: I have a 9-year old cat that I adopted from the animal shelter when she was about 6 months old. I have dealt with behavioral issues in cats, from scratching and biting to peeing outside the litter box. I understand feline body language and how to respond appropriately. I will respect your cat’s personal space and also give them attention when they are seeking it. I’d be happy to play with your cat and provide care based on their individual needs.
“Ben was GREAT!!! We were anxious to leave our cats alone for a week and he came by and gave them pets a few times and made sure they had food. Totally put my mind at ease! We appreciate you, Ben!!!”

I will accommodate to your pets need and what fits their personality best! I know every pup is different and I’m looking forward to meeting your fur baby.
“Heather is fantastic! She went above and beyond to ensure my pets’ care while I was away. Heather treated my pets as they were her own, stayed in close contact every visit with photos and updates. Heather asked about making a judgment call that would allow better comfort for my pets as well. I have not known another pet sitter who cared more for my pets. Next time I am away, Heather is my pet sitter again.”

“Erin was wonderful with our cats while we were on vacation. She sent us pictures and let us know they were doing okay, which was so nice. She has extensive experience with animals and we felt more than comfortable with her watching our girls. Highly recommend!”

“We’ve been using Nate for a couple weeks and our dog Boomer LOVES his time there. He’s great about taking Boomer for walks and playing with him. Boomer has severe separation anxiety so it’s hard to find someone we really trust not to leave him alone. We’ve found that trust with Nate.”

About: Animals are my passion and caring for them is my kind of fun! The quality of care and love I provide is reflected in my pricing. I have cared for family, friends and my own pets since 2009 - feeding, watering, training and administering medication. I worked for The Animal Hospital of Monticello from December 2021-September 2023 where I cared for many different breeds of cats and dogs, at many different age and health levels. I am familiar with animal first aid and am regularly educating myself on medical concerns/treatments because health is my #1 priority. I also love to learn about animal behavior (of all sorts-I'm very nerdy), enrichment and training because I believe a mentally and physically happy animal is a healthy one. I also have experience caring for exotic animals including guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, and lizards. I am happy to learn the needs of whatever baby I am caring for! I will not board any exotic animal or cats for their safety, but I'm more than happy to provide stop ins! ***If I do not believe I can care for your pet properly for whatever reason, I may have connections to those who do have the ability and I will be happy to help you find a new care giver.*** I am currently caring for two dogs from my home three times a week M,T, Th. They train, play, eat and snuggle with me all day. I also have a twelve year old, so If we humans have errands, vacations or an emergency-I let the pet parents know as far in advance as possible. I have two very friendly Australian Shepherd type dogs, an 12 year old human child, a husband and a cat of my own. (Somehow we all get along!) Your fur baby will have the comfort of lots of friends nearby if they come to stay with us. I do require dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations, dog & cat friendly and kennel trained if boarding with me. (So during quiet times they have a familiar, safe and secure place for them to go if they're feeling overwhelmed, or if I need to separate anyone for any reason. I also believe it's simply safer for the dog in case of an emergency.) All animals are allowed on the furniture and often I will find myself snuggling on the couch with the babies. My family also has knowledge on animal care and handling so your fur baby will be under the best care no matter who is in the room. When stopping in I will spend 30 or 60 minutes with your pet baby (depending on your choice: there is a up charge for 60 minutes) feeding, watering, playing, pottying and walking. When choosing the 60 minutes I will also do basic obedience and manners training with your dog. I could try with cats but I can't guarantee my results. I also love pet photography so taking photos of your babies will be a free service offered along with their stay or stop ins. This will NOT be guaranteed every time.

“Lindsay is absolutely amazing with my spunky, crazy husky! She watches her one day a week to give us a break and give her lots of love and play time. She also watched her for a long weekend. I am very picky on who watches my little girl and I have full confidence every time I drop her off!”

I will make your pet my priority as I cater to their needs. I’m an enthusiastic pet lover who is ready to ease your stress when leaving town & love on your furry friends! I’m currently a kindergarten teacher on summer break but I am obtaining my masters degree and will be unable to return to the classroom next year due to a required internship placement. With that being said, I am relying on side hustles and my love of dogs to help get me through grad school! I have a 7 year old golden doodle who is my pride and joy. Although I’m partial to poodles, I’ve Dogsat for dogs of all breeds.
About: Hi everyone! I am 28 years old and work as an elementary school teacher. During the summers I enjoy staying as active as possible. I enjoy long walks, running, and being around others. Throughout my life I have always loved pets! My family had a cockapoo that I have grew up playing with and caring for. Currently my boyfriend and I have a lab named Finn. Many other people close to me have pets that I am often around as well. I have dog sat in the past for multiple families and have absolutely loved it! It is always fun meeting and playing with new dogs. I would love to get to know your dog and would be happy to walk, play with, or dog sit him or her! 🐶 I have the summer free, so free to watch/ walk your dog any time. We can accommodate in our house, or I can come to your house as well. If your pup stays at our house we will make sure our dog gets along with yours. We will take great care of your pup and treat it like our own ❤️
About: I have spent my entire life caring for animals. Throughout my life I have had many animals from birds and Guinea pigs to cats and dogs. Koda, my youngest dog was completely trained by me in German commands. Working with dogs to learn new things is one of my favorite things to do. My oldest dog, Motley is a senior and the past couple years I have become very educated and trained on administration of medication and post surgery care.
About: I have been an animal lover since I was a kid. Rescuing chickens, rabbits, cats, horses - you name it! In my adult life, I took some time away from pets while obtaining my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. The first thing I did after relocating to Decatur, IL for my job, was adopt an unwanted adult shelter cat that resided at Animal Control for months, Spider. He is still with me - 11 years later. I have learned the reasons why Spider was surrendered. It inspired me to get involved with animal rescue in the community. I have adopted and fostered puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats. I have probably dealt with nearly every type of cat or most cat disabilities at this point - and if not, am extremely willing and able to learn. My feline resume includes sight and hearing impaired, sick, diabetes, incontinence, behavioral issues, MORE... I am a huge believer of positive reinforcement training for dogs. If you follow dominance training or negative reprimanding, we will not get along. I have taken two doggos through AKC CGC certification awards and other courses. My personal dog, Timber, suffers from several health issues including hypertension - which caused enucleation of both eyes; chronic rhinitis; and gingival hyperplasia. I am very used to paying attention to the subtle signs of dogs when medical issues arise. Currently, i am working from home, but transitioning back to in-person office work soon. When I return back to work, my schedule does offer a lunch break and reasonable flexibility. Interestingly, all of my puppy fostering has been pre-COVID/work-from-home! My home offers a fenced-in yard. We always walk pets on-leash. In side the home, we have options for crating and our home has several doors to close off rooms to create separate safe spaces, if needed. We also have several baby gates. Crating is very useful for at least feeding times. Our resident dog, Timber, eats in his crate, and he is trained to go there if he gets stressed - even though he is blind. I can often watch cats here in a spare room. Although, I do think cats are happiest at their homes with daily visits, if an option. In a client home, I would like to try to stick the schedule the pets are used to. Arranging a visit to understand the home layout, where things are kept, and meeting the pets are very important to me. I am happy to arrange multiple visits or stay at the house, depending on the needs of the clients and pet(s).

About: I have had experience with animals pretty much my entire life. From my great grandparents all the way down to my cousins and myself, we all have an enormous amount of love for any animal that we are lucky enough to have as a part of our family. I get the privilege of having two pups at home and they are my babies ❤️ I have 2 pups at home, Knight and Koda. Knight is a lab/beagle mix that I adopted from a shelter and Koda is a purebred German Shepherd. the both love to run and play! We go on 2-6 mile walks every day that I’m not working! I currently am not working so my schedule is very flexible. I’m in school but it’s all online so that also won’t be a problem. I treat other people’s animals the same way that I would want someone to treat my animals. I love all animals and treat them like family.

About: Hi, I’m Erica — a highly experienced animal care professional with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for pets and farm animals of all kinds. I’m trained as a veterinary assistant, including assisting with surgeries, administering medications, and caring for senior, disabled, and post-operative animals. I specialize in calm, consistent, in-home care for pets who do best staying in their familiar environment. Many of my clients have animals with medical needs, anxiety, blindness, mobility challenges, or strict routines, and they trust me to provide compassionate, detail-oriented care while they’re away. I’m also very comfortable with multi-pet households, rural properties, and farm animals. Having grown up on a farm myself, I understand the responsibility that comes with caring for animals large and small, as well as maintaining a home and property with respect and reliability. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind, keep your pets safe and happy, and treat your home with the same care I would my own. -20+ years caring for animals of all species and temperaments -Veterinary assistant training, including surgery assistance -Medication administration (oral, topical, injections if required) -Special-needs pets (blind, senior, diabetic, post-surgical, anxious) -Farm and rural animal care -House sitting and extended stays -Potty training and behavioral reinforcement -I’m calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and deeply respectful of routines — especially when animals depend on consistency. Pet care is intentionally woven into my daily and weekly routine, not added on as an afterthought. I structure my schedule around the animals in my care so they receive consistent attention, enrichment, and calm companionship throughout the day. This allows me to be fully present for feedings, walks, playtime, medication needs, and individualized routines, while also offering flexibility for pets who need extra time, patience, or reassurance. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s what my days are built around. Safety, trust, and comfort are the foundation of every service I provide. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I prioritize calm, consistency, and close supervision. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs so their care feels familiar and stress-free. In my home, pets are welcomed into a clean, secure, and peaceful environment with plenty of space to relax and play. Supervised outdoor time is provided in a safely contained area, and all interactions are thoughtfully managed to ensure each animal feels comfortable and respected. In a client’s home, I treat the space with the utmost care and follow instructions precisely to maintain the pet’s normal routine. With over 20 years of hands-on animal care experience, including veterinary assistant training, I am confident administering medications, supporting senior pets, and caring for animals with special needs. I maintain clear communication, provide regular updates, and care for every pet as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and genuine love.
