We have rescued a few pups with varying personalities and support requirements from partial paralysis, fear-aggression and anxiety. I have experience in dog walking, boarding and administration of medications (our own pup takes meds daily). About: We currently foster a variety of different dogs through out the year. We are used to quirky behaviors, shy pups, and just getting dogs to become comfortable with us and our home. We are very adjustable to different dog personalities and requirements, and will be flexible with your needs, and how the dog reacts to us in our home or yours. We have owned many pets in our lifetime, including dogs (as well as fostering). We are well versed in activity, playtime, and training. We love to play fun activities with our dogs such as obstacles, finding treats, water playtime and more! *We will never have a foster dog at the same time we are dog sitting in our home. I work part time from home, and my husband works from home as well. A dog staying in our care will have many walks through out the day, and will be able to go outside every few hours. We have very flexible schedules and outside of a random weekday activity, your pet will be our primary responsibility. In our home, we will tailor set up and activity based on the pet's needs. We are open to using crates, beds, free roaming based on what the pet is used to and comfortable with. We have kids in the home who are very used to working with new animals, especially animals who have come for traumatic environments so they know what to do around new animals-- slow introductions if needed, calm environment, playing in separate rooms etc. We will work with the personality of your dog!

About: I’ve always loved cats just as much as I love dogs sadly I don’t have any of my own at home because my dad and brother are allergic but that doesn’t stop me from loving on any cat that will let me! I have done a decent amount of volunteer work with cats the past year plus I help with my friends cat named Purdy when I’m over sometimes. I do most of the nail trimming I’ll also help out with the litter box, picking up after her, and feeding her breakfast or dinner if it’s time and I’m around. I’ve also just in general have built a pretty solid bond with her we love playing together, watching the small animals outside, and cuddling when she’s feeling up to it!

About: I have always loved every different kind of animal out there, but spent my childhood with mostly just cats. 15 years ago, I adopted my first puppy, a German Short-haired Pointer, at the age of 8 weeks. My ex-husband and I decided to take the "treatless training" approach which was a huge success! Crate training, leash training, obedience training were all a collaborative effort and turned out extremely well. 10 years later, we adopted a sweet rescue named Gizmo who was already 7 years old, but became part of the family immediately. They have both passed on now to doggy heaven, but I am always the first to offer to care for other family member's pets anytime I can :) I'm currently working part-time from my home in Blackberry Creek and always have time for some fur-ball company. My 2 girls, 7 and 10 years old, are with me part time and are also very helpful, gentle and patient with our pets and hopefully yours! If it better suits you, I can always come to your home as well for potty and play time :) UPDATE 6/8/26 - Since starting my Rover journey in 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing pets and their wonderful families. Along the way, our household has grown and changed in ways I never expected. In 2023, one of my regular Rover pups (actually a senior pup) became a permanent part of our family. Tigger’s owner had rescued him from a Chicago Animal Shelter just months before I began caring for him. As a 100 lb. Staffordshire Terrier, Great Dane, Bully, etc. mix, Tigger was a big boy with an even bigger heart. His owner dedicated to helping him become the best version of himself, especially since he wasn’t always comfortable around other dogs. With patience, training, and love, he blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest giant you could imagine. When his owner unexpectedly passed away, her husband reached out to ask if I would consider adopting Tigger. My answer was immediate: absolutely. I couldn’t bear the thought of him returning to a shelter. Bringing Tiggy into our family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My girls and I were lucky enough to love, spoil, and cherish him for three wonderful years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him every day, but are so grateful for the time we had together. Since then, we’ve also welcomed two adorable brother cats into our home. They keep us smiling and full our days with plenty of fun and affection. While our family has grown, we’re excited to have some doggy energy back in the house through Rover! When your pup stays with us, they’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like a part of the family. We understand how much your pets mean to you because we’ve experienced firsthand just how special that bond can be. My roommate has six ferrets and they each hold a little piece of my heart. I give them medication when she is stuck at work late, and let them out to play. I have close to 10 years of dog and cat experience through family pets and recently a diabetic dog named Dexter (has since passed away) I have experience providing oral and injectable medications for dogs. I work three 12-hour shifts per week but each week varies. However, I have flexibility in choosing what days I want to work. I'm typically up at 5am for work so if you need to drop your pet off early or need early check ins I'm available! I live in a single family home with wife. We have safety gates and crates in our home for when we have to step out of the house. I will separate our dog from other dogs if necessary. Food is always kept in a safe spot that no dog can get into. Our subdivision is surrounded by open fields so there are plenty of areas to walk. The backyard is large and fenced in. Fence does not have slats so next door dogs do not have a way in unless we want them for playtime. I walk our dog multiple times a day for potty breaks/exercise. I always walk our dog with a leash and will do so with other dogs. I love to snuggle and play with dogs and will do so with yours! “Becca took great care of Avery. She's a very energetic terrier with "little dog" syndrome and I worry about how well she will get along with larger dogs. Becca had the foresight to have a separate room prepared for Avery's meals, so there wouldn't be any altercations over mealtime, allowed the two dogs to get acquainted under supervision so they could set their own boundaries, then kept in touch with me & sent pictures to show the two dogs playing happily together. Avery came home happy & well loved and I was able to relax and enjoy my cousin's wedding. All in all a great experience.”
