About: Hi! My name is Nikki and I’ve lived with dogs and cats since I was a toddler. I always loved helping my parents and grandma with our many pets while growing up, but it wasn’t until I graduated high school that I decided to start expanding to pet-sitting for my friends as well! I was always happy to spend time with and gain knowledge from their furry friends. Two years after high school, I adopted a sweet husky puppy. He was just 8 weeks old when I took him home and I quickly realized raising a puppy is A LOT of work (but worth it!!). After a long journey of trial and error and 4 training classes together, he’s the best friend I could ask for. Three years later my dad rescued 3 more husky puppies, who I also helped raise! They have definitely taught me patience, how to deal with a semi-reactive dogs, and has made me confident in my ability to care for large breeds. I’ve looked after a variety of breeds, big and small, timid and reactive. I’m experienced in handling high energy dogs, young puppies who are still learning, and older dogs who need extra care and patience. I’ve also looked after cats, including those that needed help with medications and asthma treatment. Whether your pets like to walk and play or just need someone to hangout with while you’re gone, I can do it all. I will care for your beloved pets in your home and follow all your wants and needs! About: I've watched pets for friends and family since I was a teenager. I am comfortable with all breeds of dogs and cats and will love them like they are my own. I can't wait to meet you and your fur baby. I am currently a stay at home spouse and looking for ways to make extra income doing something I love. About: I have been surrounded with dogs since I was born! My family had a golden retriever when I was younger, and we currently have an 11-year old corgi mix, an 8-year old labradoodle, and a 5-year old golden retriever. Finnley, the five year old golden, is my personal dog who I trained, walked, cleaned up after, and took care of. In addition, I lived with a 3-year old boxer last year who I helped take care of and spent a lot of time with. Besides my personal pet experience, I volunteered at the Partners for Pets shelters multiple times where I took care of dogs and cats. I also frequently take advantage of the Adopt a Dog for a Day option at the Oxford Animal Rescue Center whenever I feel overwhelmed or have a free day. Besides volunteering, I had a personal business at 15/16 where I watched both kids and animals for families in my neighborhood. I took care of multiple breeds and ages of dogs, cats, hamsters, and fish. My availability is completely open until June 1st, when I will start a part time job at WashU! With that said, I am still available any weekday after 4, and all day Saturday and Sunday!! At my house, all of my dogs are trained to stay in the yard. All three get treats when they come in (because they are such good boys) and are fed twice daily. My older dog has gum issues that makes his teeth painful to use, so I put his food in water and let it soften so he is able to eat it pain-free. For walks, the two big dogs go on a joint leash and the smaller dog goes on a leash by himself. Distance wise, I take into account if the ground is hot on their paws and the temperature outside to determine how long the walk will be. We love to go to dog parks and play, as well as cuddle and lay out in the sun together.

My older dog has gum issues that makes his teeth painful to use, so I put his food in water and let it soften so he is able to eat it pain-free. For walks, the two big dogs go on a joint leash and the smaller dog goes on a leash by himself. Distance wise, I take into account if the ground is hot on their paws and the temperature outside to determine how long the walk will be. We love to go to dog parks and play, as well as cuddle and lay out in the sun together.

About: I used to foster dogs. My yard is pretty big and I have a doggie door. My dogs do not mind visitors. I am off work during the summer and all major holidays.
