My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.

“Our Lucy is a pandemic dog who gets very sad when she is alone. Our Alexa notifies us of her mournful cries. However, with just 2 visits a day Rebecca divided her with enough engagement and affection that we never received even one notification over a 3 day period!! We are entering our older years and Lucy is a young dog. There are some rules that we have for her so that she does not become too exuberant for our aging bodies. Rebecca, listened to those closely when she met us and reinforced them for us, when she was here. That is very important to us for Lucy's overall training and for us being able to keep her for a long time. When we did the meet and greet with Rebecca, Lucy formed an attachment to her. We used Rebecca's name often during that visit. When I told Lucy that we were leaving for 3 days, her ears went down - when I told her Rebecca was coming to visit her ears perked up.”

I worked for The Animal Hospital of Monticello from December 2021-September 2023 where I cared for many different breeds of cats and dogs, at many different age and health levels. I do require dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations, dog & cat friendly and kennel trained if boarding with me. (So during quiet times they have a familiar, safe and secure place for them to go if they're feeling overwhelmed, or if I need to separate anyone for any reason. I also believe it's simply safer for the dog in case of an emergency.) All animals are allowed on the furniture and often I will find myself snuggling on the couch with the babies. My family also has knowledge on animal care and handling so your fur baby will be under the best care no matter who is in the room. When stopping in I will spend 30 or 60 minutes with your pet baby (depending on your choice: there is a up charge for 60 minutes) feeding, watering, playing, pottying and walking. When choosing the 60 minutes I will also do basic obedience and manners training with your dog. I could try with cats but I can't guarantee my results. I also love pet photography so taking photos of your babies will be a free service offered along with their stay or stop ins. This will NOT be guaranteed every time.

About: I like most sitters, love all animals and have always been a big animal person. My strongest skills would be senior care. I have taken care of a lot of senior dogs and cats over the years. I myself also have a senior dog. My senior dog also has epilepsy. She’s medicated, but still has seizure semi often so given that I’ve also gained skills in administrating medicine and also dealing well with stressful situations with a pet. I also do have experience sitting puppies and younger dogs so I’m also very comfortable with more energetic dogs that want play and adventure. I’m a dependable sitter and I’m confident that I can care for and love on your pet just like you would when you’re not able to. About: My family has had a rescue dog since she was a puppy and is now a senior dog. I have had my own 2 shelter dogs living with me full time for over 2 years so I have been exposed to dealing with separation anxiety and many different reactions. I know I will be able to exceed your pets needs and provide lots of love and attention! I am currently a stay at home mom to a 1 year old boy. My schedule is very flexible because of this and I would prefer to bring him to drop ins and keep him in a car seat but I have babysitters if you are not comfortable with that! I currently have 2 dogs and a cat on a few acres of land so they are very active outside. I used to live in an apartment and would exercise my 3 year old lab retriever for about 2 hours a day! I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, so I can work around your and your furry family's established schedule. When staying at your home, I can be with your pet most of the day. This means they get lots of attention and snuggles (if, and only if, they like snuggles!), and I can watch for shifts in their behavior, appetite, or energy levels and let you know right away. I only provide care in your home, which allows your furry family to stay in their normal environment and maintain their regular routine. I’ve found this keeps stress low and helps pets feel safe while you’re away. When I’m staying overnight, I treat your home and your furry family’s routine with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime instructions exactly as given.

My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.

About: My husband and I have a high energy 1 year old German shorthair pointer who LOVES other dogs. Dogs are meant to be apart of the family so they should be treated that way! We raised him from 8 weeks old so have experience with puppies and high energy dogs.
