“This was our first rover experience- our two dogs stayed with Maria and her family for about 4 days.Maria was happy to do a meet and greet before hand a couple months prior. The day we were dropping the dogs off my female who hasn’t been spayed yet started her menstrual cycle, I was so worried we were going to have to cancel our flights because I totally wouldn’t blame Maria if they didn’t want to keep her while she was wearing a diaper. But Maria was happy to still take both pups for the weekend and I am so thankful. My lab is a high energy gal and did great. We got pictures and updates multiple times a day of their walks and playing in the back yard. They seem happy and content after their stay with Maria and I cannot recommend her more. We have another stay booked with her already. So thankful to find someone to leave my pups with who we trust and can feel at ease leaving them with.”

About: I've taken care of dogs of many breeds ever since I was a little girl. I took care of feeding, exercising, and bathing our dogs for my family. I also work as a kennel tech at autumn green hospital where I take care of pets daily including bathing, feeding , playing with and giving medication. I currently work as a kennel tech, and my schedule is kind of all over the place. However, I can bring your pet to work with me after they are reviewed by my boss to make sure they pass their rabies and fecal tests. I’m available Saturday mornings until 1 PM and am free all day on Sundays! I will update this note on a month-to-month basis depending on my schedule. If I were in your home, I would let your pet warm up to me first. Then, I would make sure they have clean water and food, follow any instructions you have for me, and give them lots of cuddles and love to keep them happy.

About: Hello, I’m a mother of one, and we own a Siamese cat named Atlas. We had a dog a couple of years ago and he has since passed due to an accident and as we’re opening our hearts to the thought of a new member we’re also opening our doors to care for pets while we go on our own journey of finding our own Canine Best Friend. We reside in a a very safe- family friendly neighborhood.( Elgin, IL) Our cat; Atlas stays indoors and in his own room as he likes his privacy so there is no worries about anccidental ill encounters. Since I am a home-maker, a have a lot of time on my side. My regular routine with a toddler is very active in terms of going outside, going for walks, running etc and we wake up everyday with the same goal. “Be tired by the end of the day” 🏃🙏 Yard is UNFENCED. All dogs will be on their leash when playing in the yard. If they have an EXTENDED length leash, it’d be great for them to run around more freely!
About: I have always loved every different kind of animal out there, but spent my childhood with mostly just cats. 15 years ago, I adopted my first puppy, a German Short-haired Pointer, at the age of 8 weeks. My ex-husband and I decided to take the "treatless training" approach which was a huge success! Crate training, leash training, obedience training were all a collaborative effort and turned out extremely well. 10 years later, we adopted a sweet rescue named Gizmo who was already 7 years old, but became part of the family immediately. They have both passed on now to doggy heaven, but I am always the first to offer to care for other family member's pets anytime I can :) I'm currently working part-time from my home in Blackberry Creek and always have time for some fur-ball company. My 2 girls, 7 and 10 years old, are with me part time and are also very helpful, gentle and patient with our pets and hopefully yours! I have a fenced back yard with plenty of room for your fur-baby to play and exercise! If it better suits you, I can always come to your home as well for potty and play time :) UPDATE 6/8/26 - Since starting my Rover journey in 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing pets and their wonderful families. Along the way, our household has grown and changed in ways I never expected. In 2023, one of my regular Rover pups (actually a senior pup) became a permanent part of our family. Tigger’s owner had rescued him from a Chicago Animal Shelter just months before I began caring for him. As a 100 lb. Staffordshire Terrier, Great Dane, Bully, etc. mix, Tigger was a big boy with an even bigger heart. His owner dedicated to helping him become the best version of himself, especially since he wasn’t always comfortable around other dogs. With patience, training, and love, he blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest giant you could imagine. When his owner unexpectedly passed away, her husband reached out to ask if I would consider adopting Tigger. My answer was immediate: absolutely. I couldn’t bear the thought of him returning to a shelter. Bringing Tiggy into our family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My girls and I were lucky enough to love, spoil, and cherish him for three wonderful years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him every day, but are so grateful for the time we had together. Since then, we’ve also welcomed two adorable brother cats into our home. They keep us smiling and full our days with plenty of fun and affection. While our family has grown, we’re excited to have some doggy energy back in the house through Rover! About: ** I took some time off of Rover and I am back with a limited schedule due to work hours** I am an avid dog lover and dog mom to 2 pups. Most of my life has revolved around dogs and I wouldn’t want it any other way! At a young age, I was trusted by all of the nieghbors to dog sit. After college, I was fortunate enough to foster a few rescues from a local humane society. Fostering dogs was a very rewarding experience as it gave me my 2 babies, Milo and Bear. Unfortunately, Bear and Milo have now passed and I miss them terribly everyday. I currently have a Doberman named Ambrose and an Australian Shepard named Max. They are a bonded pair and have so much energy! I have experience with very large dogs and puppies as young as 2 months old— but I am comfortable with all breeds! I am available for dog walking, house sitting, and drop-in visits. If you would like me to board your dog in my home, I welcome that as well! As long as they are dog friendly; my pups would love a new friend 😊 During the day on weekdays I work a full-time hybird job with flexibility. My in office days are Monday and Tuesday so usually unavailable those days. I am free for walks/drop ins during the week/weekend as well as house sitting. I am a very active person alone and with my own dogs. They get walks 1-2x per day and get lots of exercise in our backyard. I would love to hang out with your pup and play! She came over every day to walk her while I was away and my family was working. She even checked to make sure my dog was given her medicine and gave it to her if needed. Not only did she take excellent care of my baby, but she also checked in on me to see how my trip was, which was really nice of her. Stephanie really went above and beyond just walking Charlie, she took the time to make sure she had everything she needed and gave her plenty of love. I will absolutely use her in the future!!”

“This was our first rover experience- our two dogs stayed with Maria and her family for about 4 days.Maria was happy to do a meet and greet before hand a couple months prior. The day we were dropping the dogs off my female who hasn’t been spayed yet started her menstrual cycle, I was so worried we were going to have to cancel our flights because I totally wouldn’t blame Maria if they didn’t want to keep her while she was wearing a diaper. But Maria was happy to still take both pups for the weekend and I am so thankful. My lab is a high energy gal and did great. We got pictures and updates multiple times a day of their walks and playing in the back yard. They seem happy and content after their stay with Maria and I cannot recommend her more. We have another stay booked with her already. So thankful to find someone to leave my pups with who we trust and can feel at ease leaving them with.”
