Fast forward to today and my home has 2 wonderful cats that I care for! Both are special needs. PopTart has cerebellar hypoplasia and Lady comes from a former abusive home. I worked for The Animal Hospital of Monticello from December 2021-September 2023 where I cared for many different breeds of cats and dogs, at many different age and health levels. I am familiar with animal first aid and am regularly educating myself on medical concerns/treatments because health is my #1 priority. I will not board any exotic animal or cats for their safety, but I'm more than happy to provide stop ins! ***If I do not believe I can care for your pet properly for whatever reason, I may have connections to those who do have the ability and I will be happy to help you find a new care giver.*** I am currently caring for two dogs from my home three times a week M,T, Th. They train, play, eat and snuggle with me all day. I also have a twelve year old, so If we humans have errands, vacations or an emergency-I let the pet parents know as far in advance as possible. I have two very friendly Australian Shepherd type dogs, an 12 year old human child, a husband and a cat of my own. (Somehow we all get along!) Your fur baby will have the comfort of lots of friends nearby if they come to stay with us. I do require dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations, dog & cat friendly and kennel trained if boarding with me. (So during quiet times they have a familiar, safe and secure place for them to go if they're feeling overwhelmed, or if I need to separate anyone for any reason. I also believe it's simply safer for the dog in case of an emergency.) All animals are allowed on the furniture and often I will find myself snuggling on the couch with the babies. My family also has knowledge on animal care and handling so your fur baby will be under the best care no matter who is in the room. When stopping in I will spend 30 or 60 minutes with your pet baby (depending on your choice: there is a up charge for 60 minutes) feeding, watering, playing, pottying and walking. When choosing the 60 minutes I will also do basic obedience and manners training with your dog. I could try with cats but I can't guarantee my results. I also love pet photography so taking photos of your babies will be a free service offered along with their stay or stop ins. This will NOT be guaranteed every time.

About: I grew up with animals of all kinds and love to be around them. I have experience with all kinds and ages, from newborn to super seniors. Two of my childhood dogs required medication, I have experience administering injections and oral medications. I also have experience administering topical and oral medications to cats. I have few routine obligations and will likely be able to make any pet sitting requests a priority. I am generally available from about 8:30am until 11pm every day. I can stop by on whatever schedule you desire and interact with your pet(s) as close to the way you would as I can. My goal is to provide care as similar to yours as possible so that your pet is comfortable and enjoys their time with me. With drop in care, I will be sure to administer medications, feed, water, and groom as instructed as well as cleaning litter boxes and extra gifts, and, of course, providing desired attention. About: Im fortunate enough to have so much help when I go to work with my dog and work three nights a week so I have a lot of free time during the week. I’m looking to help others make sure their dogs can get let out or go for a walk while they’re busy (: I have a 1.5 year old mini golden doodle who is basically my child. we do everything together from walks to road trips to popcorn time during a movie! I work nights at a hospital and am lucky enough to have my grandparents watch my dog at night! About: I have been dog sitting since I was 11 years old. I have taken care of all kinds of dogs, all ages and sizes. I have always grown up with a dog, so taking care of one is like second nature to me. I have looked after puppies as well as senior dogs. I have potty trained puppies in less than 2 weeks. I have been responsible for walking, feeding, entertaining/playing, and bathing services. I am a University of Illinois Student who is currently working part-time over the summer, therefore I have a flexible schedule! As as student at the University of Illinois, I have taken multiple courses in Animal Science, including Companion Animals in Society, Science of Pets and Their Care, and World Animal Resources. I walk my dog Arlo in the morning before work, and will do the same with pets that are under my care. I live on a lake and I do not have a fenced in yard, but I will walk them often. I will walk your pets around the neighborhood which you live if I am caring for them at your house. My 4 year old Husky/German Shepherd mix loves other dogs and is very friendly. My dog does not require a crate, however if that is something that your dog needs, I can accommodate! If I am watching your pets at my house, I will require proof of vaccinations to keep my dog safe as well!
