I replenish their food and water twice each day and socialize with them every day. Drop-In Visits: I am very flexible and adaptable to most environments and most needs of my clients and their humans. Please read my entire profile including the introduction area where I mention how Rover adds additional booking fees to my rates. Day Care and/or Boarding: All my animals are up-to-date on vaccines. My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.

“Our Lucy is a pandemic dog who gets very sad when she is alone. Our Alexa notifies us of her mournful cries. However, with just 2 visits a day Rebecca divided her with enough engagement and affection that we never received even one notification over a 3 day period!! You brought games for Lucy to play and loved on her like she was her own.l She brought games for Lucy to play and loved on her like she was her own. We are entering our older years and Lucy is a young dog. There are some rules that we have for her so that she does not become too exuberant for our aging bodies. Rebecca, listened to those closely when she met us and reinforced them for us, when she was here. That is very important to us for Lucy's overall training and for us being able to keep her for a long time. When we did the meet and greet with Rebecca, Lucy formed an attachment to her. We used Rebecca's name often during that visit. When I told Lucy that we were leaving for 3 days, her ears went down - when I told her Rebecca was coming to visit her ears perked up.”

Since then, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals — dogs, cats, birds, Guinea pigs, lizards, and other small companions — and have also fostered extensively for my local animal shelter and I loved every minute of it. My foster work has included animals in hospice; seniors; dogs going through heartworm treatment; those with serious behavior issues; advanced starvation cases; kidney disease; and pets with other complex medical needs, so I am very comfortable following detailed treatment plans, giving medications, and monitoring changes in behavior or health. I understand how important consistency and attention to detail are, especially when your furry family needs extra care. However complex the case, I always look for ways to make your pet happy in addition to healthy, whether that be an extra slow walk with lots of sniffing, an enrichment toy with diet-approved snacks, or just some quiet time on the couch together. I only provide care in your home, which allows your furry family to stay in their normal environment and maintain their regular routine. I’ve found this keeps stress low and helps pets feel safe while you’re away. When I’m staying overnight, I treat your home and your furry family’s routine with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime instructions exactly as given.

For any overnight stays, please let me know what appliances I can or cannot use, where you would like for me to stay, etc. House sitting can be a tricky topic since the needs can vary so much between individuals. My house sitting base rate includes an overnight care (can adjust hours depending on your pet’s routine & this includes all potty breaks, snuggles, enrichment, etc while I’m in the home), midday potty break, meals, and one focused walk/exercise session (example: before dinner). If your pets need more exercise, care, or attention, this is not a problem! We can discuss additional drop ins and walks as needed and I can adjust the fees as appropriate.
About: One of my earliest memories was at the age of five. My mom brought my sister home from the hospital after she was born and I asked, "Can we have a kitten instead?!" Our parents started us with goldfish like most do. We then graduated to hamsters, followed by kittens. Currently, I have two dogs of my own that I consider to be my fur babies. Our pets can be much like our children, so I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to provide the care your animals need. My experience with animals comes from having my own as well as taking care of friends and family members pets as well. I love animals so much, I paint them on canvas as another passion of mine. I am looking forward to caring for your pet and providing whatever special needs they may have in order to make you and your animal feel comfortable while you are away. I work from home as an Artist so my schedule is flexible in between appointments outside of the home. I am unavailable Tuesday nights after 5pm. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was around 5 years old. I have experience giving dogs pills, being consistent with training processes, and with senior dog care. I have also taken care of cats. I’m able to take care of dogs and cats in the mornings and evenings during the week and all day on weekends and holidays. I am a homebody so once I get done with work during the day, I am not leaving and play with my animals. I have a fenced in yard with a very friendly dog and cat. If needed, I have a room where I can separate my cat from other dogs to allow non-cat friendly dogs to stay. This room has his food, water, bed, toys, and litter box, while also being one I spend a large amount of time in so he is not lonely. My dog is fed once in the morning and is allowed to eat when he wants to and he runs outside in the backyard when he feels like it. I do adjust how often he gets fed and if he is free feeding when other animals are present. In clients' homes, I follow feeding and care instructions.

My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.
