Dexter was miserable because of his ear so he didn’t really play or anything but I know he was safe and his needs were handled. My only critique is that I had to ask how he was to get the info (including about his ear) and I prefer when the sitter reaches out to tell me if something is amiss. FYI: Dexter went to the vet the day after we got back and has antibiotics now. :)”

About: I’ve taken care of my family dog until he passed. He was 16yrs old. I also take care of my sisters dog. He is a Husky/ German Shepard mix. My dog recently passed and I miss walking him. I have a work from home career that allows me the flexibility to be with your fur baby for all their needs and attention during their stay. I also provide crates to be sure all boarders are kept safe if need arises to leave home to ensure safety of all furry friends. I train pet dogs on good behavior as well as rehabilitation for fearful or aggressive dogs. Safety is my #1 concern. Every dog that comes into my home is treated like family, as I do my own dogs. I am blessed with a large house that has a separate living quarters for the boarding dogs and a big beautiful fenced yard. Both are kept clean and hazard free. I would love to host your dog and make sure you are worry free while you're away! I work with dogs as a career and am home full time. I have a daily routine that changes depending on what dogs I have. Each dog gets fed once or twice, a day depending on owner preference. For medical or dietary reasons feeding can me more or less frequent. Any medications needed will be given. Each dog gets back yard exercise daily. Of course they get plenty of love! 🐾 Saftey and cleanliness are my top concerns. My home is clean and hazard free. I am "puppy proof" and always vigilant. I have accommodations and experience working with aggressive or reactive dogs and can also accommodate/work with kennel anxitey. I am able to keep dogs separate from my personal dogs if needed. Dogs that are friendly will be able to socialize/play with my very well tempered pack, depending on owner preference. I have a fenced yard and there are no gaps or ways to get out. I can also accommodate jumpers using a long recall leash!

About: I have always loved every different kind of animal out there, but spent my childhood with mostly just cats. 15 years ago, I adopted my first puppy, a German Short-haired Pointer, at the age of 8 weeks. My ex-husband and I decided to take the "treatless training" approach which was a huge success! Crate training, leash training, obedience training were all a collaborative effort and turned out extremely well. 10 years later, we adopted a sweet rescue named Gizmo who was already 7 years old, but became part of the family immediately. They have both passed on now to doggy heaven, but I am always the first to offer to care for other family member's pets anytime I can :) I'm currently working part-time from my home in Blackberry Creek and always have time for some fur-ball company. My 2 girls, 7 and 10 years old, are with me part time and are also very helpful, gentle and patient with our pets and hopefully yours! Tigger’s owner had rescued him from a Chicago Animal Shelter just months before I began caring for him. As a 100 lb. Staffordshire Terrier, Great Dane, Bully, etc. mix, Tigger was a big boy with an even bigger heart. His owner dedicated to helping him become the best version of himself, especially since he wasn’t always comfortable around other dogs. With patience, training, and love, he blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest giant you could imagine. When his owner unexpectedly passed away, her husband reached out to ask if I would consider adopting Tigger. My answer was immediate: absolutely. I couldn’t bear the thought of him returning to a shelter. Bringing Tiggy into our family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My girls and I were lucky enough to love, spoil, and cherish him for three wonderful years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him every day, but are so grateful for the time we had together. Since then, we’ve also welcomed two adorable brother cats into our home. They keep us smiling and full our days with plenty of fun and affection. While our family has grown, we’re excited to have some doggy energy back in the house through Rover! When your pup stays with us, they’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like a part of the family. NOTE: Though I adore cats, I am unfortunately allergic and therefore cannot interact with them directly if you have any in your home. I can still feed or play with them via a cat teaser or laser pointer, but I cannot pet them or pick them up. :( Currently, I am working full-time at an elementary school in Minooka. As I share similar hours with our students, my availability Monday through Friday will only be after 3:30pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, I am available during afternoons and evenings, though prior arrangements in advance can be made for a morning walk or drop-in visit! I will update my schedule as soon as anything changes. If you have any questions regarding my schedule for a particular day or week, please don’t hesitate to message me! IMPORTANT: As per Rover’s Terms of Service, please note that I cannot share private contact details or accept methods of payment outside of Rover. This is for the safety and security of all parties involved. When out on a walk, I will make sure your friend is kept safe and away from hazards or things they may be uncomfortable with. When dropping in for a visit, I will make sure their needs are met and everything is secured for their safety. They would never be left unsupervised, and they'll get lots of love and playtime! About: I have worked with animals at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where we house dogs, cats, and even birds, bunnies, or hamsters. I worked there for two years, and I have grown up with & been around both dogs and cats my whole life. I am available to care for your fur babies in the mornings, late afternoons, and evenings. I work Monday through Friday at a local law firm, so I have more flexibility for house sitting than dog walking or drop in visits during the day. I can provide treats, toys, and love to a client’s fur baby. About: I've taken care of pets since I was a teenager. Pets that belonged to my sister to pets that have belonged to my neighbors. I have experience feeding and walking dogs. He receives medication as well as special stimulation treats during the day, along with a weekly spa day, he is one pampered pooch!! My cat gets wet food every morning and dry food every evening, he is long haired so this furry kitty also gets groomed very regularly. Both of my pets also get night time treats just for being adorable.

Dexter was miserable because of his ear so he didn’t really play or anything but I know he was safe and his needs were handled. My only critique is that I had to ask how he was to get the info (including about his ear) and I prefer when the sitter reaches out to tell me if something is amiss. FYI: Dexter went to the vet the day after we got back and has antibiotics now. :)”
