About: I've been a dog owner for 20 years. Over the last 10 years, friends, family and neighbors have entrusted me with taking care of their dogs. 2 years ago, I took on the venture of fostering dogs in my home. My experience with them has been with puppies through adult dogs. Special needs dogs are welcome too, as I have experience with dogs with seizure disorder and other chronic issues. During the time the foster dogs are in my care, I work to establish a routine, learn basic commands and household manners. I work from home Monday-Friday. My pets (and fosters) stay in my office with me when I working. I am able to care for your pets during my breaks, lunchtime and after hours. My weekends can be a bit more busy, but I can be flexible in working with your needs. I have a small fenced in yard for the dogs to stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and of course relieve themselves. Indoors, I do have crates available if your dogs needs some alone, quiet time. About: I have had animals my whole life. This past May, I was lucky enough to retire from 33+ years of teaching. Since 2022, I have volunteered at Tails Animal Shelter walking dogs. Last year, we had to say goodbye to our 16 year old dog, and I miss having animals in the house. While I am not ready to get a new dog, I am very excited to take care of other's dogs like they were my own. Whether it is your pet coming to our house or me going to your home, I cannot wait to keep your furry friend company. Communication is a key issue for me. I worried about my dog all the time. I find a way to alleviate that is to send pictures often. Because I am retired, I would be able to be with pets most of the day. I would let them out every couple of hours - more if needed. I can follow any schedule for feeding. I am really flexible and would be able to accommodate most schedules. I would make sure to keep a close eye on your dog while we were hanging out together. Dogs are definitely allowed on furniture (unless you prefer they not be). I can put a dog in a crate if that is comfortable for them as well. Our yard is not fenced, but it is a large yard in the woods. I can also take dogs for walk around our neighborhood or to the riverwalk in downtown Dixon. We also have a property about 15 miles south of Dixon with 80 acres and a pond, so a trip there could be fun as well.

About: I currently have two small dogs who I take care of full time. I’ve had them for 2 years now. I love playing with dogs, rubbing their tummy, or just hanging out with them. If your dog has separation anxiety that will not be a problem. One of my dogs is the same way and I wouldn’t mind being there full time for your dog. Pet care fits into my schedule perfectly because most of my days consist of being home taking care of my two small dogs. I’m also a nursing student so it helps that I have a lot of time after studying to play with the dogs/puppies. I have a fenced yard. It is pretty big. In order to keep my dogs safe I always make sure doors are closed before letting them out and as a special precaution I like to add an AirTag to their collars in case anything happens (has not happened yet but it’s better to be safe than sorry).

Becca had the foresight to have a separate room prepared for Avery's meals, so there wouldn't be any altercations over mealtime, allowed the two dogs to get acquainted under supervision so they could set their own boundaries, then kept in touch with me & sent pictures to show the two dogs playing happily together. Avery came home happy & well loved and I was able to relax and enjoy my cousin's wedding. All in all a great experience.”
