I replenish their food and water twice each day and socialize with them every day. Drop-In Visits: I am very flexible and adaptable to most environments and most needs of my clients and their humans. My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.

He got plenty of exercise with walks, trips to the river, and adventures in the forest preserves. She even treated him to an ice cream after a long, fun day in the sun! About: I have been around animals my entire life. I once had dreams of being a vet and spent two summers as an intern at a vet clinic, but learned quickly that that is not necessarily the career to choose just because you love animals, haha. That being said, I love both dogs and cats and have been a volunteer at animal shelters since 2017. I currently have a sweet but shy 6 year old cat named Rhiannon. I work remotely on weekdays, so I am home throughout the day for companionship and frequent potty breaks, if needed. I love to go on evening walks in my local park as well. I live in a single family home with an unfenced yard, but any bathroom breaks would be under my full watch and care. I have one sweet but shy cat, but she has her own room if your pet is not okay with other animals.

About: I’ve been pet sitting dogs for a long time. It started with trusting family members to family friends needing help while they are on vacation. I always have a pet sitting gig at least once a month, so I’m comfortable with everything that comes with dog sitting: giving medicine, walking, feeding, accommodating routines, etc. I have a part time job and I am attending school. My mornings are free as well as my afternoons anytime after 11:30am. I always make time to make sure I take out the pets when needed or communicate when I can’t. I am always willing to stay over to make things easier. I have a dog myself, and I always walk him at least once a day. I follow the routine that we have made for him to make sure he feels safe and comfortable. When I’m taking care of a client’s pet, I make sure I follow whatever guidelines the client gave me, as well as making sure the pets remain comfortable while they are in my care.

Fast forward to today and my home has 2 wonderful cats that I care for! Both are special needs. PopTart has cerebellar hypoplasia and Lady comes from a former abusive home. About: Hello my name is makinzee I have always had a passion for animals and watching the different things you can do with them and their personality. I am a hair stylist I got my dog grooming classification also l. Want a quick bath or blow out need a trim absolutely!!! I can do anything you need from a simple blow out to a full cut and groom. I love walking and playing with animals or just cuddling and being that companion they need when parents are away! I have felt with animals with sensitive skin and diets I can also handle medication and dogs who just don’t like meeting new people. I know how important it is to trust a new person with your fur baby and I want to help ease the anxiety while you trust me with you pets. I have cared for family, friends and my own pets since 2009 - feeding, watering, training and administering medication. I worked for The Animal Hospital of Monticello from December 2021-September 2023 where I cared for many different breeds of cats and dogs, at many different age and health levels. I am familiar with animal first aid and am regularly educating myself on medical concerns/treatments because health is my #1 priority. I also love to learn about animal behavior (of all sorts-I'm very nerdy), enrichment and training because I believe a mentally and physically happy animal is a healthy one. I also have experience caring for exotic animals including guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, and lizards. I am happy to learn the needs of whatever baby I am caring for! They train, play, eat and snuggle with me all day. I also have a twelve year old, so If we humans have errands, vacations or an emergency-I let the pet parents know as far in advance as possible. I have two very friendly Australian Shepherd type dogs, an 12 year old human child, a husband and a cat of my own. (Somehow we all get along!) Your fur baby will have the comfort of lots of friends nearby if they come to stay with us. I do require dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations, dog & cat friendly and kennel trained if boarding with me. (So during quiet times they have a familiar, safe and secure place for them to go if they're feeling overwhelmed, or if I need to separate anyone for any reason. I also believe it's simply safer for the dog in case of an emergency.) All animals are allowed on the furniture and often I will find myself snuggling on the couch with the babies. My family also has knowledge on animal care and handling so your fur baby will be under the best care no matter who is in the room. When stopping in I will spend 30 or 60 minutes with your pet baby (depending on your choice: there is a up charge for 60 minutes) feeding, watering, playing, pottying and walking. When choosing the 60 minutes I will also do basic obedience and manners training with your dog. I could try with cats but I can't guarantee my results. I also love pet photography so taking photos of your babies will be a free service offered along with their stay or stop ins. This will NOT be guaranteed every time.
About: I like most sitters, love all animals and have always been a big animal person. My strongest skills would be senior care. I have taken care of a lot of senior dogs and cats over the years. I myself also have a senior dog. My senior dog also has epilepsy. She’s medicated, but still has seizure semi often so given that I’ve also gained skills in administrating medicine and also dealing well with stressful situations with a pet. I also do have experience sitting puppies and younger dogs so I’m also very comfortable with more energetic dogs that want play and adventure.
