I have cared for family, friends and my own pets since 2009 - feeding, watering, training and administering medication. I worked for The Animal Hospital of Monticello from December 2021-September 2023 where I cared for many different breeds of cats and dogs, at many different age and health levels. I am familiar with animal first aid and am regularly educating myself on medical concerns/treatments because health is my #1 priority. I also love to learn about animal behavior (of all sorts-I'm very nerdy), enrichment and training because I believe a mentally and physically happy animal is a healthy one. They train, play, eat and snuggle with me all day. I also have a twelve year old, so If we humans have errands, vacations or an emergency-I let the pet parents know as far in advance as possible. I have two very friendly Australian Shepherd type dogs, an 12 year old human child, a husband and a cat of my own. (Somehow we all get along!) Your fur baby will have the comfort of lots of friends nearby if they come to stay with us. I do require dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations, dog & cat friendly and kennel trained if boarding with me. (So during quiet times they have a familiar, safe and secure place for them to go if they're feeling overwhelmed, or if I need to separate anyone for any reason. I also believe it's simply safer for the dog in case of an emergency.) All animals are allowed on the furniture and often I will find myself snuggling on the couch with the babies. My family also has knowledge on animal care and handling so your fur baby will be under the best care no matter who is in the room. When stopping in I will spend 30 or 60 minutes with your pet baby (depending on your choice: there is a up charge for 60 minutes) feeding, watering, playing, pottying and walking. When choosing the 60 minutes I will also do basic obedience and manners training with your dog. I could try with cats but I can't guarantee my results. I also love pet photography so taking photos of your babies will be a free service offered along with their stay or stop ins. This will NOT be guaranteed every time.

I myself also have a senior dog. My senior dog also has epilepsy. She’s medicated, but still has seizure semi often so given that I’ve also gained skills in administrating medicine and also dealing well with stressful situations with a pet. About: I’ve never lived without an animal in my life I know the basics and more. I would give your pet so much care and love! I’m going to Eastern Illinois University for biological sciences with a pre-vet pathway. I hope to one day be a veterinarian, but I know wherever I go there I will be working with animals! I’m very passionate about what I do, I take pride in my work. I work part-time and my schedule varies , but only a regular of 4-5 hour shifts so I wouldn’t be away for long! I also am a full time student at EIU but I will always work your pet into my schedule and give them the care and love they deserve! We can always work out what days i’m free I can always stop by if I can’t stay longer! I would make sure the house stays clean and would take care of the pets and that’s all. If asked to sweep or water plants I would also do that!
About: My family has had a rescue dog since she was a puppy and is now a senior dog. I have had my own 2 shelter dogs living with me full time for over 2 years so I have been exposed to dealing with separation anxiety and many different reactions. About: I am a proud mother of a 9yr old son and an 15 yr old daughter.. My daughter is usually at school for most of the day. However, caring for both full time I have come to notice animals stimulate both kids and teach them respect, responsibility and routine. I have cared for all kinds of animals from bugs to sheep, the least being livestock but i would love to learn more and better my skills in every way I can. With animals I am always down for whatever can or will come my way. In the most recent years I have been doing a lot of work with the pups that are a little extra spicy✨ after finding my own dog in a corn field and her ending up with reactivity and aggression, it really opened my mind to not just be a dog lover but someone who understands dog behavior to be able to keep them happy☺️ Unless I am out of town(rarely happens) I can almost always make it work! Even if it’s adding an xtra visit to make sure your baby gets everything they need🫶🏻 I care for every animal like I would my own babies. I like to keep things as close to normal for them as possible so never feel like you are telling me too much!
About: I currently work and have been working at a Vet clinic for about 6 years now. I’ve been pet sitting even longer, about 8 years! I have experience with dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and birds. I also have experience staying overnight, drop-in visits, giving medications, and dog walking. I currently work part-time at a Vet clinic so I will absolutely have time in between, before, or after my 3-4 hour shifts to let out, feed, play with, or walk with your pets! I have owned a bunny, hamsters, cats and dogs. But I also have an affinity for birds and reptiles. I have provided services for friends and family most of my life, now I just want to bring in a bit of extra cash to supplement social security. About: I have been raised around all sorts of pets ranging from hamsters to dogs of all ages. My parents always expected me to help take care of our dogs and it has always been my responsibility to take care of my own animals. I have also learned a lot about pet care and animal behavior through my own research! I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and living at home. I commute to and from school everyday and my weekends are usually free! I am happy to share my class schedule in order to make sure we are the right fit! I always make sure to meet your animals in a way that they feel comfortable prior to services in order to ensure everyone’s safety. I usually bring treats or a toy so they know I am someone they can trust! I also am able to accommodate to any needs for your pet whether it’s medicine, a specific diet, or if you are working on any specific training with them.
About: I started pet sitting when I worked at my first vet clinic. And, because I love animals so much, I have never stopped. I grew up with dogs, cats, ducks and every pet in between! Currently, I have 2 dogs, a Jack-Russell mix named Jake and a Beagle mix named Macy. They are extremely pet/people friendly and they love new company! Im a stay at home momma, my husband runs his own company. I run around a lot with the babies and for our company but I still have a lot of time throughout the day to make sure your furry one is taken care of. I love being outside and walking with your pet! Walking distance will vary depending on the shape the dog is in, and the area we are walking! I am able to pick the dog up, to take to a walking park near the home or spend time in the home of the pet.
