However, Jenelle completely exceeded my expectations. She was incredibly thoughtful and even suggested a meet-and-greet before the stay to make sure Banjo would be comfortable. She showed such patience and care with him, especially since he’s a shy and nervous dog. Throughout our trip, Jenelle kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which really helped ease my worries. Banjo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly had the best time with Jenelle and her own dogs. I think he was a little upset that we were taking him home because he had so much fun!! The fenced in back yard was awesome for exercise and bathroom breaks. My dog Skylar is a finicky eater. Rae worked with her and went the extra mile to get her to eat each day. If I sound like the right fit for your pup to go to while you are away, I am so happy to meet them! I currently work 2 days a week fully from home- so I have a lot of free time. I usually work Friday and Saturday nights. I can do drop in visits and dog walks Fridays and Saturdays before 2pm, but any other day is fully open. Being that I work from home, I can still board on Fridays and Saturdays. I do prefer if your fur baby is potty trained, but that being said- happy, excited, and nervous accidents happen and that is absolutely okay! :) I have a newly fenced in yard with lots of room to run and play. My dogs are very high energy and have loved playing with previous foster dogs. Just to be on the safe side, I will put your dog in a separate room/section to eat. When it comes to animals, they are family and I completely understand that a stranger watching them can be scary- I am more than happy to do a meet and greet with you and your fur baby/babies as well as send updates however often you would like during their stay.

Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly! Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. About: I used to volunteer at an animal shelter, and I learned how to attentively take instructions when it came to the care of an animal. I have dealt with dogs and cats that have digestive issues, as well as knowing my way around taking care of (oral) medication. About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I could walk. Pets have always been an addition in my family. I have also pet sat for friends and family when they have needed. To me, pets are family and I have always taken care of them like that. When I'm trusted to take care of someones pet, I treat them like their baby. We have 3.5 acres of farm and woodland. 1 acres is wooded and we have a trail and creek to play in. If things get too messy, we can always rinse off in the hose. I have a lead out back, but if your dog doesn't need it great! If your dog requires a little more, I have a fenced in area behind the barn that we can venture to as well. I live on a private drive, so not a lot of traffic and its nice and peaceful. I work 8-4 Monday through Friday. I live 20 minutes away and usually come home on my lunch break at 12 to let my dogs out and to let them run and play. I wake up early to take care of my chickens and ducks and let my dogs run around for about 30 minutes outside. With other dogs, we might wake up a little earlier and go on a trail or just walk up and down the road(.5miles) maybe more if needed. We then come inside and eat and drink and they are usually ready to go back to bed by the time I leave for work. On my days off we are outside constantly. If your dog is an introvert or loves ac, we do also let our dogs on the furniture for extra lounging. 🤣 At night we do a bit more outside since we make our rounds to make sure the birds are safe and fed and maybe another walk in the woods. Before bed, we do tick checks just in case! I care for all pets like my own and all pets have the same freedoms as my fur babies(unless specified so your doggo doesn't come home with any habits you don't want them to have). I have blankets on my couches and dog beds all over the house.

Because I care for my own dogs daily, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels and communicating concerns promptly. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while also respecting each pet’s individual needs and boundaries. My goal is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while their owners are away, and for owners to have peace of mind knowing their pets are receiving personalized care. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have two dogs, so I’m used to feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, monitoring behavior, and making sure they get plenty of attention throughout the day. I also stay on top of things like cleaning up after them, maintaining their routine, and watching for any signs that something might be off. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so fitting pet care into my day feels very natural. In my home, pets are treated like family. I maintain a consistent routine for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, and playtime. I provide a safe, clean, and supervised environment where pets receive plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. I closely monitor their behavior, appetite, and energy levels and will follow any instructions regarding medications, dietary needs, or special care. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable, secure, and loved while they are in my care.
About: I love to play and love on animals, and my daughter loves to research breeds and find what they like the most. And care for them that way. Your pet(s) will be well welcomed to our fun loving home. Welcome! I am working full time, dogs will have full access to backyard at their leisure. If they are unfamiliar with a dog door, I will train them. Litter box cleaned daily. And in the morning and evening some love and play time. I have a fenced in yard, dog door ( that locks) shelves and hiding spots for cats. I had made this an oasis for my cat and dog while they were still with us. Our free time is spent at the cat cafe, and the humane society. We will go walk the dogs there or play with the cats at both places. Any animal in need of love and attention, we are thrilled to provide it. Our dog passed of cancer 3 years ago and needed to be put down as it had spread and she was in terrible pain. It was a slow, and hard for to let go A year ago, our cat had this disease, and she became immobile immediately and was in chronic pain. It was such a quick loss. So I have been a little hesitant to bring another animal in full time. However, all animals are welcome and we look forward to building a safe spot for you and your pet while you are away.

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! I am new to the Rover community, but have been caring for animals for neighbors and family for the past 10 years. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, as well as cats! I am comfortable around all dogs and am willing to learn and adapt how to best care for your animal. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your dogs, I will dedicate my time to loving them! I am currently working Monday-Thursday and am available for weekday evening walks or weekend drop-ins and house sittings. I am also flexible and can accept last-minute bookings. I'm currently working full-time, with 4 10-hour shifts. This leaves me plenty of time to play with your pups anytime Friday-Sunday and after 6pm Monday-Thursday! About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was little. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly! Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. I will cater to your pet based on what they like or need. If they just need someone to keep them company I’m there. I will treat your space with respect and follow any instructions given. My pets are family and are treated as such so the same would go for your kiddos.

About: I have experience administering all kinds of medication to all ages of dogs. I love meeting your older dogs and have experience helping them navigate stairs and the home if necessary. I am patient and if your dog needs extra accommodation I am happy to provide assistance. I am currently a college student on break for the summer so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I am available for early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. I understand it can be nerve racking trusting someone with your pet, but I am extremely communicative and will keep you updated as frequently as you wish. I have pet sat for multiple families who have always returned to tidy homes and happy pets. About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. As a child, I had pet sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats, and cows. As an adult, I have always had cats. My 20 year old long hair cat just passed away in January. It was heartbreaking. I miss him dearly. We loved our guy so much. In his last 5 yrs, I spent many hours catering to his elderly issues. Medications and night yowling were issues that I happily took care of as he lived out his twilight years. I have a soft spot for all animals as they go through all stages of life :) I work from home and set my own hours, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I am open to many kinds of arrangements- one time sitting, a weekly routine, daily walks, weekends, etc. I am extremely fortunate to have a flexible schedule. My teen daughter and I live in a large 4 bedroom home, so we have tons of space to accommodate furry friends who need company. We do not have a fenced in yard, but our neighborhood is great for long walks. Our neighborhood has trails through the woods and a home owner’s association that maintains the trails. We have lots of fun walking the trails. I am an avid jogger/walker. I go out everyday, regardless of the weather. I have a very active lifestyle! We recently adopted a cat, but he stays in his own area on a different level of the house. He has claimed my daughter as his and lives in her room. When dogs come to stay with us, he typically stays in his room & pups never see him, although he has made friends with some of our regularly visiting pups 😊 I have a very flexible work schedule. When I do have to be away from home for work, I am gone about 2-3 hrs at a time. My daughter is at home often and also helps with pups. She is great with animals! We both like to take frequent walks throughout the day! In my home, I have a large open floor plan with tons of windows. During the day, I like to have pups next to me in my office, but some like to lay in prime viewing area of all the windows.
About: I have spent my entire life caring for animals. Throughout my life I have had many animals from birds and Guinea pigs to cats and dogs. Koda, my youngest dog was completely trained by me in German commands. Working with dogs to learn new things is one of my favorite things to do. My oldest dog, Motley is a senior and the past couple years I have become very educated and trained on administration of medication and post surgery care. With experience from my own pets, I have many reliable references I have gained over the years that can vouch for me on my loving, dedicated, and superior care with their fur babies. I am currently a nanny and have almost completely open availability. I work Monday through Thursday during the day but can still do visits anytime! And I’m off Friday through Sunday so anytime those days as well! When visiting your home I am happy to provide any services you may need for your pet. About: I've owned animals all my life. As a kid in school I had two Mastiff puppies who were with me until they were 6. As they had health issues that came on later in their life! My mom has 4 yorkies who I have lived with and taken care of one of them was just put down. I currently have a 2.5 year old German shepherd, 1.5 year old Rottweiler mix and a 7 month old German shepherd. Who love to have friends. They love all animals! I'm currently working from home so I am very flexible with times needed. I currently have a home with no fenced yard. But lots of space for dogs to play and run. She showed such patience and care with him, especially since he’s a shy and nervous dog. Throughout our trip, Jenelle kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which really helped ease my worries. About: Hey! I am a huge advocate for all dogs to be treated with dignity, love, and respect. For me this means providing a safe and secure environment for their needs, an insane amount of cuddles, daily exercise, and abiding to the rules given by their owners. I have had dogs all my life, and currently I have 2 wonderful dogs: Diggie- a 2yr old 75lb male Lab/Pittie mix who is neutered. Fozzie- a 1yr 30lb male mix who is neutered. I have 2 kids aged 3yrs and 11yrs who have both been taught how to act properly around dogs. I have a big fenced in yard that my dogs love to run around in and lots of toys. If I sound like the right fit for your pup to go to while you are away, I am so happy to meet them! I currently work 2 days a week fully from home- so I have a lot of free time. I usually work Friday and Saturday nights. I can do drop in visits and dog walks Fridays and Saturdays before 2pm, but any other day is fully open. Being that I work from home, I can still board on Fridays and Saturdays. I do prefer if your fur baby is potty trained, but that being said- happy, excited, and nervous accidents happen and that is absolutely okay! :) I have a newly fenced in yard with lots of room to run and play. My dogs are very high energy and have loved playing with previous foster dogs. Just to be on the safe side, I will put your dog in a separate room/section to eat. When it comes to animals, they are family and I completely understand that a stranger watching them can be scary- I am more than happy to do a meet and greet with you and your fur baby/babies as well as send updates however often you would like during their stay.
