“Our 15 month old Maltipoo had never spent a night apart from us and had limited interaction with other dogs. We had a need for an overnight stay and decided to try Rover which led us to Emily and Thomas as they lived close by. We are so very thankful that we found them! They spent three days in a week leading up to the stay having Charlie come over for walks and spent time inside their place trying to get him used to a new environment. They are knowledgable with dog behavior and their 2 German Sheppards are very well behaved. After meeting Chris and Dan I felt comfortable booking a 4 day stay. Recently Ozzie spent a few hours at Chris and Dan's home so he could become a little more familiar with them and their dogs before his 4 day stay. About: I currently have two small dogs who I take care of full time. I’ve had them for 5 years now. I love playing with dogs, rubbing their tummy, or just hanging out with them. If your dog has separation anxiety that will not be a problem. One of my dogs is the same way and I wouldn’t mind being there full time for your dog. Pet care fits into my schedule perfectly because most of my days consist of being home taking care of my two small dogs. I’m also a nursing student so it helps that I have a lot of time after studying to play with the dogs/puppies. I have a fenced yard. It is pretty big. In order to keep my dogs safe I always make sure doors are closed before letting them out and as a special precaution I like to add an AirTag to their collars in case anything happens (has not happened yet but it’s better to be safe than sorry).

I love cats and dogs and get along well with many breeds but prefer small dogs because of strength and we have a huge yard but it’s not fenced in. My land is not fully fenced off so If need be I will have to walk pups on a leash which is not a problem at all.

During the time the foster dogs are in my care, I work to establish a routine, learn basic commands and household manners. I work from home Monday-Friday. My weekends can be a bit more busy, but I can be flexible in working with your needs. I have a small fenced in yard for the dogs to stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and of course relieve themselves. Indoors, I do have crates available if your dogs needs some alone, quiet time. Provided a calm environment to welcome a puppy who has been through a lot in her short life. When we got home, she acted normal. With our previous dogs we boarded at kennels but felt the need to try something different with a puppy that spent most of her life at a shelter. Our dogs would be wiped out when they came back home. So far not seeing any of that from her stay with Kaitlyn.”

I also used to help foster, and learned some basic training techniques from the owner of a nonprofit dog rescue called Bonafied. I’m great at befriending dogs. Even a few I had met that were deemed aggressive, I was able to rub their bellies and was greeted with the wiggles after a few visits. I’m very patient with pets, especially scared ones. I work with cats as well, and love them just as much! I provide plenty of picture updates during every visit. I require meet and greets in order to get to know your furbaby beforehand. I feel it necessary to say I am autistic and have adhd. I get burnt out easily and struggle with socializing. That does not affect the care I put into working with pets, just my availability and ability to carry a conversation. I won't work when my mental state isn't doing well. It is best for me to have a set schedule, and for clients to have a backup in case I can't work suddenly. I cherish the memories I make with everyone’s pets I’m lucky to have met. I can give dogs medications and have had experience giving epidermal shots with one senior GSD. I may need a refresher, but I am capable. I take all the safety precautions when letting dogs into their backyard and when taking them on walks. I will double check gates are closed before letting your pup out and double check that I've locked your door on my way out. I know how to avoid dogs and people if your dog isn't friendly.
About: I have had dogs since I was born. My family has always had a dog. For 18 years, I had my own dogs. I’ve also watched friends and family member’s dogs. I will go to their houses and let their dogs out for them, walk them, etc. I work part time at a local elementary school as a TA. I will do not pet sit at my home but at clients home pets are front and center. Weather permitting we do outside play time and or walks.
