However, Jenelle completely exceeded my expectations. She was incredibly thoughtful and even suggested a meet-and-greet before the stay to make sure Banjo would be comfortable. She showed such patience and care with him, especially since he’s a shy and nervous dog. About: Starting in 2020, I spent a few years on the road doing a variety of gigs, primarily animal transportation. I got to see the entire country and meet a ton of awesome animals - mostly dogs & puppies, but rabbits, kitties, lizards, too. I have since planted my flag in Galesburg, IL, and am hoping to build up a clientele of regular check-ins here in this area as I build a home for myself off the road. I am happy to book new clients through Rover, but I do most of my gigs through direct booking after the initial sit. Since Rover keeps 20% of a sitter's fee, please consider tipping in full to make up the difference. Upon meeting new clients, I would like to let folks know that it is common courtesy to compensate a potential sitter if they are traveling from out of town for a meet & greet. It is not expected but greatly appreciated to offer to stock the fridge for overnights, especially for longer sits. These are things I have learned from my favorite clients, families that have taught me how to make a happy living caring for their beloved households. Dogsitting is what I do for a living. I don't mind driving out of town for overnight gigs with appropriate compensation. Just ask and let's see what we can set up. For overnights, I like to keep handwritten notes throughout the day and have little photoshoots here and there. I prefer to check in via text at the end of the day w some nice photos and a brief summary of the day's events. My clients enjoy reading the full report when they get home.
About: My boyfriend and I have always had animals in our lives. Growing up he lived on a farm with dogs, cats, goats, pigs etc. and I have had dogs and cats my whole life. We currently have 2 beautiful Great Danes, a bunch of rabbits, outside kitties, and 3 chinchillas! Our dogs love people, small animals, and would love a bigger dog to run around with. We would love to cuddle with your fur babies, go for walks, or just play in the fenced yard! With summer coming up we know that it’s going to be vacation time, you deserve to be able to enjoy and relax on vacation while knowing your animals are well taken care of. Me and my boyfriend work mornings and get lunch breaks half way through, so we’d be able to check on your animals even while working and we can be with them all afternoon. On Wednesdays and Thursdays we are both off so they’d get us all day! We have a 2 story house with lots of room for them to lay around and have their own space if needed. We also have a large backyard that is fenced off already for our dogs.
