“Lily house/pet sat my cat, Connor, while we were away for the weekend. He takes daily oral meds for his allergies; he pulls his hair out without it. We returned to the house just as neat as we left it and she was successful in giving his meds (which he can make difficult at times), evidenced in the fact all his hair was intact. He also must have enjoyed her company because he wasn’t as clingy as he usually is when we return from trips. Definitely will use her again in the future!”

About: I worked full time for a shelter and loved working with every animal there. Meeting them at their level so that their needs were completely fulfilled was my passion. Whether they were high or low energy, dim or bright, friendly or not, I thrived on figuring out what would make the the most adoptable and what would make them most comfortable in the harsh shelter environment. It was a difficult and demanding job at times especially when I needed to provide first aid or medication/therapy for ailing animals but I always enjoyed coming home knowing I did something that meant something to those parent-less pets. I also had the lovely opportunity to work the social media for the shelter and take photos and videos of each animal to best display their personalities to the wider public who wouldn't normally see them otherwise. I currently work part time with very flexible hours so I am frequently available to provide service to both my own pets and others. I find it very fulfilling to be able to make time for my own furry friends! Working in a shelter environment I often met many animals at their lowest when they were beyond scared and upset. I got exposure to many dogs and cats that were horribly unadapted to life around people and had personalities on either end of the spectrum. I am more than comfortable with animals that are more aggressive in both appearance and personality and was frequently tasked with retrieving abandoned or lost animals using the company van.

“I am so glad I met Joy and Dan through here! Our regular sitter had to cancel last minute due to being sick and with only a days notice they were able to set up a same day meet and greet. I left their feeling more then confident about them and dropped off my boxer Lola the next day. Within seconds of us dropping off I got an adorable picture of Lola getting belly rubs from her children, she was definitely in doggy heaven. We recieved a couple more pictures throughout her stay and my mind was definitely put at ease and I knew she was in great hands. About: I have both a cat and a dog. Recently moved out to steger/monee. Anywhere that I can commute via CTA to walk, sit, or feed your pet. I have 3 cats in my apartment, although I have previous experience with a family dog. I also have experience volunteering at PAWS animal shelter.
