We really appreciated them working with us and taking good care of Marv. Would definitely recommend them to anyone for a good easy to work with dog sitter! About: Hello! I’m Emma! I am a student at ISU. I love all animals and have a cat named Danny. I have worked as a veterinary assistant and have had both cats and dogs my whole life. I am new to Rover and pet sitting, but have more than enough experience with all animals from small critters to farm animals. I am a current student at ISU, so my schedule is fairly flexible. About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. As a child, I had pet sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats, and cows. As an adult, I have always had cats. My 20 year old long hair cat just passed away in January. It was heartbreaking. I miss him dearly. We loved our guy so much. In his last 5 yrs, I spent many hours catering to his elderly issues. Medications and night yowling were issues that I happily took care of as he lived out his twilight years. I have a soft spot for all animals as they go through all stages of life :) I work from home and set my own hours, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I am open to many kinds of arrangements- one time sitting, a weekly routine, daily walks, weekends, etc. I am extremely fortunate to have a flexible schedule. My teen daughter and I live in a large 4 bedroom home, so we have tons of space to accommodate furry friends who need company. We do not have a fenced in yard, but our neighborhood is great for long walks. Our neighborhood has trails through the woods and a home owner’s association that maintains the trails. We have lots of fun walking the trails. I am an avid jogger/walker. I go out everyday, regardless of the weather. I have a very active lifestyle! We recently adopted a cat, but he stays in his own area on a different level of the house. He has claimed my daughter as his and lives in her room. When dogs come to stay with us, he typically stays in his room & pups never see him, although he has made friends with some of our regularly visiting pups 😊 I have a very flexible work schedule. When I do have to be away from home for work, I am gone about 2-3 hrs at a time. My daughter is at home often and also helps with pups. She is great with animals! We both like to take frequent walks throughout the day! In my home, I have a large open floor plan with tons of windows. During the day, I like to have pups next to me in my office, but some like to lay in prime viewing area of all the windows.

Services include drop in dog walks and play sessions and overnight pet sitting for short or long terms. I’ve cared for two large fluffy dogs with special needs for two months at a time. I also looked after a high energy chihuahua for three weeks, routinely walking three or four times a day to burn some extra energy! I work full time in Bloomington from 9-6, Monday - Friday. Walks will take place as late as 8am or earlier, during lunch break if you’re home is within 15 miles of Bloomington, and after 6:30 pm on weekdays. Weekends are flexible and I am comfortable transporting the dogs to a dog park or swimming spot if they do well on field trips! I’m more of a homebody and love to play and interact with animals in their home. Your house rules & pet care needs will be met with respect and understanding. About: I have worked at a dog kennel since 2021. I had to do 2 months of training before hand. Friends and neighbors have allowed me to babysit their pets as well. I’ve fed, walked, cuddle, brushed, bathed and given medicine to dogs. I’m currently in college but coming home for summer and winter break. I have always loved animals and I have always owned pets, been a member of dog parks and puppy play groups, and I volunteered for the Champaign Humane Society for many years. I have also had pets with medication needs, so I am experienced in that area. For years I also groomed my own dogs, and I know that each pet has its own needs, preferences, and personalities. Finally, I recently lost my dog of 15 years, and although I now live somewhere that does not allow pets, I need animals in my life! From my own experience of being a Rover customer for many years, I also know how important it is to pet sit within your home with no disruption to your pet's routine or surroundings. I'm retired, so I can be flexible with your scheduling needs for both your pets and your home. I'm both an early riser and a night owl, so whatever works for you also works for me! I have been both a renter and homeowner, so I know how valuable your pets are, but also your cozy home, your plants, mail, and relationships with your neighbors. I have owned a bunny, hamsters, cats and dogs. But I also have an affinity for birds and reptiles. I have provided services for friends and family most of my life, now I just want to bring in a bit of extra cash to supplement social security. I'm also mainly a homebody, so if your home or your pets need extra care or a lot of time, I'm fully available.

“Kat and her partner did great with Marv. We had to scramble to get him in last minute for an over night trip so she was okay with skipping the meet and greet. They said he did good but for whatever reason didn’t get along with her dogs. They still took great care of Marv and cuddled him and gave him great care and attention regardless of him not getting along with their dogs. We really appreciated them working with us and taking good care of Marv. Would definitely recommend them to anyone for a good easy to work with dog sitter! They even let us know we can change our settings to find a sitter with no dogs of their own so Marv doesn’t run into any additional issues with other dogs.”

About: I have owned K9’s all of my life. I absolutely adore dogs of all types. At this phase of life I am currently taking a hiatus of owning a K9 while I consider owning more properties. I think Rover is a great alternative medium way for me to continue providing my love for dogs, and give back to the community. I am home quite often, most of the days if need be. I can work from home. My current entrepreneurial endeavor allows me to build my own schedule. In my home I would keep K9 nearby in my two main level living rooms. I have all laminate hardwood wood flooring. The fenced backyard allows for easy potty breaks and play time, however I will be with the K9 while they are outside to ensure their safety.

About: Not only have I had pets my entire life, but I've helped care for friend's and family's pets, too. I worked in a doggie daycare for a bit, so I have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and ages. I'm currently staying home with my kids, so my availability is open throughout the day to help care for your fur babies with check-ins and walks. I'm comfortable letting animals out into fenced yards or on leash as needed for potty breaks. I can help cleanup accidents inside or scoop liter during visits. I'm happy to help supervise playtime, feedings, or general activity during visits. I'm comfortable crating dogs when leaving, if needed. Whatever instructions you provide, I can execute and ensure your pet is well cared for!

About: I have taken care of animals for a while and even worked on a farm! All of your friends will be safe and cared for in my home. I am available for boarding pretty much any days of the week and I am perfectly okay with last minute bookings and cancellations if needed! I understand how life can get! I work only 4 min from my job and have flexibility to step in and out. I also have an indoor camera to keep an eye when I am away.
About: Had pets all my life. Trained a couple of puppies and cared for a special needs dog for 4 years. Taught dogs the bell method of asking to go outside Currently not available on holidays. I am available everyday of the week. If there are any changes my schedule will be kept up to date consistently Large yard with a tall fence. Dog and cat safe home. Two dogs currently. They are 3 years old and 8 months and very friendly. They both have lots of energy and love to play. The 8 month old is not neutered yet but will be once he is 1 year old per vet recommendation. Nice neighborhood.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for my older grandparents before and I’ve had my dog for 5 years now. I am experienced with dogs and also cats. I work full time at home so I am home a lot to take care of your animals if they need somewhere to stay! I have a dog who is a Labrador retriever who is very friendly with all animals and people! I have a fenced in yard. I will give them enough outside time along with enough potty breaks and always have water available to them!
