About: I've had at least 1 dog in my home for 10 years, frequently opening our home to offer boarding and respite care to our friends' dogs. We enjoy providing a loving, safe, fun space for dogs to visit! I have a hybrid work schedule, so I can be available to be home as needed and provide dogs with whatever care they need. About: I recently lost my soul dog, Wilson. He was a 14 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is in the picture with me. I have a second Cavalier named Auggie. I worked with Wilson to become a certified therapy dog. He retired when he was 10. When he was around 9 he became deaf. Therefore, I have years of experience with a deaf dog. About: I have had my own dogs my whole life. Since being married in 1994 we have had 2-3 dogs at a time. We currently have two sweet dogs. One is a toy Berniedoodle and the other is a lab/bordercollie. I am the one in our family that does the puppy training. I am a retired school teacher. I am home most days unless I have errands to run. I love to take our dogs for walks. I have two friendly dogs. One of our dogs is very playful. The other is shy at first but warms up. They are crate trained at night. We have a dog door so our dogs go in and out all day. We have an extra crate if needed. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture for snuggles.

Since Rover keeps 20% of a sitter's fee, please consider tipping in full to make up the difference. Upon meeting new clients, I would like to let folks know that it is common courtesy to compensate a potential sitter if they are traveling from out of town for a meet & greet. It is not expected but greatly appreciated to offer to stock the fridge for overnights, especially for longer sits. These are things I have learned from my favorite clients, families that have taught me how to make a happy living caring for their beloved households. Dogsitting is what I do for a living. I don't mind driving out of town for overnight gigs with appropriate compensation. Just ask and let's see what we can set up. For overnights, I like to keep handwritten notes throughout the day and have little photoshoots here and there. I prefer to check in via text at the end of the day w some nice photos and a brief summary of the day's events. My clients enjoy reading the full report when they get home.

I will offer that service again soon!* After a brief break due to adjusting to a new, full-time job, I’m back to doing what I love: caring for your furry family members! I've had pets of my own my entire life and have cared for pets of friends, family, and neighbors for years! I love being around animals and have 3 babies of my own. I'll love your best friend as much as I love my own! I am reliable, punctual, and energetic and always willing to do what I can to help out! I have an anxious, aggressive, and arthritic Chihuahua of my own, so I have experience with more "neurotic" pets as well as experience with medication. One of my cats is 13 years old, so I also have experience with senior care (as well as cat medication, too!). I also recently adopted a guinea pig and am getting a second one very soon, so have experience with “exotic” animals as well! I just moved to the Galesburg area and am currently unemployed, so have wide availability to care for your pets! If I am house sitting, I can typically spend overnight and the majority of the day there! *Note: I am currently on hiatus from house sitting services! I currently do not offer house sitting/boarding in my own home, as my 3 pets aren't comfortable with new animals in their environment. Eventually, I hope to be able to set up a system where I can provide that service! I do have a playpen and door fences that I use for my own dog, so could potentially provide temporary boarding if the circumstance is right! When I come into a home for sitting, I am always acknowledging that I am not only in another person's space but the pet's space as well. I do everything I can to be respectful and aware of boundaries. Following routines to keep the pet comfortable is essential in building the bond!
About: I recently lost my soul dog, Wilson. He was a 14 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is in the picture with me. I have a second Cavalier named Auggie. I worked with Wilson to become a certified therapy dog. He retired when he was 10. When he was around 9 he became deaf. Therefore, I have years of experience with a deaf dog. I have experience with dogs from puppy through old age. My grown children also have dogs. I have included some of those dogs in the pictures. We have a bulldog, a golden retriever, a boxer, a lab, and several mixed breed rescues in our family! I have decided to offer my services on Rover to help fill a void after losing my beloved Wilson. I look forward to loving your dog as my own! I work full-time but am home on weekends and have extended breaks in my work when I am home. My home is set up for animals but I am also willing to provide services in your home. For care in my home, I have a large yard in a park-like setting. My house is set up for pets with limited carpet, doggie steps to lay on a comfy couch, windows to watch squirrels and keep an eye on the mailman. I am also available to love your pets in your home.
About: From nose ears to little pads I know what's going on with my little guys being very big on doing things myself so that way I catch when things are not right with them. I currently my own Boss with my own schedule with some time and some flexibility to help out with other families that might need help Walkable access to parks and trails for opportunities for outdoor play and fun time. About: I've had at least 1 dog in my home for 10 years, frequently opening our home to offer boarding and respite care to our friends' dogs. We enjoy providing a loving, safe, fun space for dogs to visit! I have a hybrid work schedule, so I can be available to be home as needed and provide dogs with whatever care they need. Dogs who stay in our home are walked and played with, loved well, and treated like they were our own. Caring for the animals in our home is a valuable part of our everyday routine as a family. About: I am an avid pet lover who has taken care of many animals over the years, including my own who got very ill but is thankfully in remission. Neighbors, friends and family have all relied on me to look at their loved furry friends both in my own home and as well their home depending on the desired environment for their pets comfort. I take great pride in paying attention to detail while also having the fun and attention with each level of desired of the above listed. If selected for your care, activities would include walks, run time in my fence in backyard, toy time and snacks if provided or approved with any dietary restrictions honored. I currently work from home so time spent with them will be flexible and could be worked around at your leisure. About: I have hands on experience working with small animals, dogs, cats, and a wide variety of farm animals. I have worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own. One of my dogs is a working service dog and the other is a retired service dog. I always make sure that your pets will come first. I have completely open availability and am available whenever is needed and I can easily put times into my schedule to create a perfect amount of time to take care of and love on your pet. I have a fenced in yard along with 4 dogs at home. My 4 dogs are also dog friendly and love any other dogs that they meet. I can easily keep dogs separated if need be.
