About: I have been around dogs of my own and others for my entire 38 years of life. I grew up with having at least 3 dogs at once, then when out on my own for the last 10+ years, have lived with and spoiled at least 2 dogs at a time. I currently have 2 fur kids of my own, who are very loved and spoiled. That same kind of care would translate to any dogs I care for. I'm currently working part time while studying, so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I work 3 varying days a week currently, from about 9am-5pm. A lot of time is spent at home with my own pups, and that would translate to yours. I have a good sized fenced in yard, and can provide a separate space, crating or whatever is needed between your and my dogs! I also keep the back part of my house separate.

“MacKenzie & Jacob own 4 cats (no dogs but they sometimes board them) and clearly love animals. My 2 sibling kittens were born feral on my farm and when Mama disappeared, I had to take them in. Did not intend to keep them but these kitties had different plans. I am in the process of training them to spend more time indoors, and interact with other humans and animals. How lucky that I found MacKenzie on Rover. My kitties had their own space (spare bedroom) where I set up their familiar bedding, litter box, food, scratch post, etc. I started with a 24 hour stay and will prob try a few more days before taking a longer trip later this year. MacKenzie sent me regular updates. One kitty was slightly braver, exploring her surrounding. They both allowed MacKenzie and Jacob to pet them (although they admit they were shaking, which is no surprise) and they ate (not much) and used the litter box, but barely left the bedroom. MacKenzie & Jacob put them in their carriers minutes before I arrived (the cats only slightly resisted they said) and brought them downstairs with all of their belongings & helped me load it all up. I am very much looking forward to having my kitties spend more time with these two wonderful cat sitters - even when I don’t need a sitter - bc I want them to get more human and kitty interaction and I believe MacKenzie and Jacob’s home is the ideal environment. They are lovely, kind-hearted sitters who will give my babies the love and patience they need to become less feral and become the 2 house cats I need them to be.”

I start school August 15, so until then I am free to take care of your pet at anytime of the day! I will typically try to DoorDash to make some extra cash, but will stop every couple of hours to check on your friend! I treat every home and pet like my own — that means following your routines closely and communicating with you along the way so you're never left wondering how things are going. For drop-in visits, I stick to the schedule you set for feeding, medication, and fresh water, and I always do a walk-through to make sure everything's secure before I leave. I'll bring in mail/packages and rotate lights if that's part of the ask. For dog walks, I keep to your dog's normal route and pace unless you tell me otherwise, always leash up before opening any doors, and clean up after them every time. I pay close attention to their body language, especially around other dogs or people, and I'll never push a walk if it's too hot, too cold, or your dog seems off that day. For overnight house sitting, I keep your pet's routine as close to normal as possible — same feeding times, same bedtime habits, same amount of attention and play. I treat your home with respect (locking up, keeping things tidy, not having guests over) and I check in with updates so you can relax while you're away. Across all of it: I send photo/video updates, I'm comfortable with basic medication administration (pills, drops, insulin if trained), and if anything seems off with your pet's health or behavior, I contact you and the vet right away rather than guessing.

About: I’ve had a dog ever since I was a baby and grew up visiting my grandpa’s farm in the country! My family also had cats, and I had four fish growing up! I love taking care of my family’s dog whether it be walking, exploring, or just cuddling and petting! I have had experience with all types of pets, from super energetic to ones that would sit on the couch all day long if they could! About: I have always loved dogs and always wanted one. So since I can’t have one I would love to take care of yours! I have taken care of many dogs of the years. I have watched dogs through house sitting. The longest I watched someone’s dogs was a month. I’m very comfortable around dogs and love them very much. They would get all the love from me! I’m a teacher on summer break, I have all the time in the world to take care of your animals! I love showing off the pets I get to take care of. Let me show off your fur babies! :) I always clean up after myself and your dog. I make sure your and your dogs needs are always met. I don’t have space for a dog at my own house though.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes & personalities. I’m not shy to specialized care needs and love to play, walk & give belly rubs! Services include drop in dog walks and play sessions and overnight pet sitting for short or long terms. I’ve cared for two large fluffy dogs with special needs for two months at a time. I also looked after a high energy chihuahua for three weeks, routinely walking three or four times a day to burn some extra energy! I work full time in Bloomington from 9-6, Monday - Friday. Walks will take place as late as 8am or earlier, during lunch break if you’re home is within 15 miles of Bloomington, and after 6:30 pm on weekdays. Weekends are flexible and I am comfortable transporting the dogs to a dog park or swimming spot if they do well on field trips! I’m more of a homebody and love to play and interact with animals in their home. Your house rules & pet care needs will be met with respect and understanding. Your dog’s boundaries, safety and needs will be prioritized. I appreciate cleanliness and will respect your home as if it’s my own.

About: i have taken care of several breeds of dogs from the bichon’s to mastiffs! I have a beagle/shar pei mix who is 12 years old and a pit bull who is 2. We have 4 cats and I am an animal lover through and through! i am a stay at home mom of 2 and so my availability is open typically very flexible!. Up until now I have done this strictly in after work/school hours, but now have much more availability and hope to be able to branch out to more families! I will always respect the home of my client and their animals. We will go over any wants and needs and you don’t have to worry about anything else while you are gone! About: I have been around dogs of my own and others for my entire 38 years of life. I grew up with having at least 3 dogs at once, then when out on my own for the last 10+ years, have lived with and spoiled at least 2 dogs at a time. I currently have 2 fur kids of my own, who are very loved and spoiled. That same kind of care would translate to any dogs I care for. I'm currently working part time while studying, so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I work 3 varying days a week currently, from about 9am-5pm. A lot of time is spent at home with my own pups, and that would translate to yours. I have a good sized fenced in yard, and can provide a separate space, crating or whatever is needed between your and my dogs! I also keep the back part of my house separate.

However, Jenelle completely exceeded my expectations. She was incredibly thoughtful and even suggested a meet-and-greet before the stay to make sure Banjo would be comfortable. She showed such patience and care with him, especially since he’s a shy and nervous dog. Throughout our trip, Jenelle kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which really helped ease my worries. Banjo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly had the best time with Jenelle and her own dogs. I think he was a little upset that we were taking him home because he had so much fun!!
