“I knew from our first meeting that Nathan and Jackie were the right choice to take care of my Sophie for the 2 weeks I would be in Japan. And I was right. They sent daily pictures/videos of: Sophie playing with their dogs Reilly and Bailey; the kids walking, holding, and loving on Sophie; and photos of some well-deserved chill time. We had excellent communication for the duration of Sophie’s stay with them. Nathan contacted me about a week into her stay to report an issue that he felt needed reviewed by her vet. I agreed and Nathan made the appointment, then took her for a vet visit. The vet also agreed with Nathan and gave Sophie 2 prescriptions. Nathan paid for the vet visit and meds himself (since I was not available at the time). For the next week, Nathan and Jackie gave Sophie the meds prescribed and reported back to me how she was doing with her medical issue. I am so thankful for Nathan’s keen observation and proactive stance on Sophie’s health. The vet visit and daily meds were more than they signed up for and they just took care of it all. I will definitely be taking Sophie back for future boardings, and may even have to take her for occasional visits so she can play with the dogs and the kids!”

About: I have been around dogs of my own and others for my entire 38 years of life. I grew up with having at least 3 dogs at once, then when out on my own for the last 10+ years, have lived with and spoiled at least 2 dogs at a time. I currently have 2 fur kids of my own, who are very loved and spoiled. That same kind of care would translate to any dogs I care for. I'm currently working part time while studying, so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I work 3 varying days a week currently, from about 9am-5pm. A lot of time is spent at home with my own pups, and that would translate to yours. I have a good sized fenced in yard, and can provide a separate space, crating or whatever is needed between your and my dogs! I also keep the back part of my house separate.

I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly! Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. As a child, I had pet sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats, and cows. As an adult, I have always had cats. My 20 year old long hair cat just passed away in January. It was heartbreaking. I miss him dearly. We loved our guy so much. In his last 5 yrs, I spent many hours catering to his elderly issues. About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. As a child, I had pet sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats, and cows. As an adult, I have always had cats. My 20 year old long hair cat just passed away in January. It was heartbreaking. I miss him dearly. We loved our guy so much. In his last 5 yrs, I spent many hours catering to his elderly issues. Medications and night yowling were issues that I happily took care of as he lived out his twilight years. I have a soft spot for all animals as they go through all stages of life :) I work from home and set my own hours, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I am open to many kinds of arrangements- one time sitting, a weekly routine, daily walks, weekends, etc. I am extremely fortunate to have a flexible schedule. My teen daughter and I live in a large 4 bedroom home, so we have tons of space to accommodate furry friends who need company. We do not have a fenced in yard, but our neighborhood is great for long walks. Our neighborhood has trails through the woods and a home owner’s association that maintains the trails. We have lots of fun walking the trails. I am an avid jogger/walker. I go out everyday, regardless of the weather. I have a very active lifestyle! We recently adopted a cat, but he stays in his own area on a different level of the house. He has claimed my daughter as his and lives in her room. When dogs come to stay with us, he typically stays in his room & pups never see him, although he has made friends with some of our regularly visiting pups 😊 I have a very flexible work schedule. When I do have to be away from home for work, I am gone about 2-3 hrs at a time. My daughter is at home often and also helps with pups. She is great with animals! We both like to take frequent walks throughout the day! In my home, I have a large open floor plan with tons of windows. During the day, I like to have pups next to me in my office, but some like to lay in prime viewing area of all the windows.

About: I have been around dogs of my own and others for my entire 38 years of life. I grew up with having at least 3 dogs at once, then when out on my own for the last 10+ years, have lived with and spoiled at least 2 dogs at a time. I currently have 2 fur kids of my own, who are very loved and spoiled. That same kind of care would translate to any dogs I care for. I'm currently working part time while studying, so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I work 3 varying days a week currently, from about 9am-5pm. A lot of time is spent at home with my own pups, and that would translate to yours. I have a good sized fenced in yard, and can provide a separate space, crating or whatever is needed between your and my dogs! I also keep the back part of my house separate.
