“I knew from our first meeting that Nathan and Jackie were the right choice to take care of my Sophie for the 2 weeks I would be in Japan. And I was right. They sent daily pictures/videos of: Sophie playing with their dogs Reilly and Bailey; the kids walking, holding, and loving on Sophie; and photos of some well-deserved chill time. We had excellent communication for the duration of Sophie’s stay with them. Nathan contacted me about a week into her stay to report an issue that he felt needed reviewed by her vet. I agreed and Nathan made the appointment, then took her for a vet visit. The vet also agreed with Nathan and gave Sophie 2 prescriptions. Nathan paid for the vet visit and meds himself (since I was not available at the time). For the next week, Nathan and Jackie gave Sophie the meds prescribed and reported back to me how she was doing with her medical issue. I am so thankful for Nathan’s keen observation and proactive stance on Sophie’s health. The vet visit and daily meds were more than they signed up for and they just took care of it all. I will definitely be taking Sophie back for future boardings, and may even have to take her for occasional visits so she can play with the dogs and the kids!”

About: I’ve been taking care of cats for nearly a decade, as my mom bought 3 after our family dog passed. Out of the 3, only one remains, at the ripe age of 15 and I help my dad take care of him from time to time as he is a 25lbs orange tabby and has quite the personality.
“MacKenzie & Jacob own 4 cats (no dogs but they sometimes board them) and clearly love animals. My 2 sibling kittens were born feral on my farm and when Mama disappeared, I had to take them in. Did not intend to keep them but these kitties had different plans. I am in the process of training them to spend more time indoors, and interact with other humans and animals. How lucky that I found MacKenzie on Rover. My kitties had their own space (spare bedroom) where I set up their familiar bedding, litter box, food, scratch post, etc. I started with a 24 hour stay and will prob try a few more days before taking a longer trip later this year. MacKenzie sent me regular updates. One kitty was slightly braver, exploring her surrounding. They both allowed MacKenzie and Jacob to pet them (although they admit they were shaking, which is no surprise) and they ate (not much) and used the litter box, but barely left the bedroom. MacKenzie & Jacob put them in their carriers minutes before I arrived (the cats only slightly resisted they said) and brought them downstairs with all of their belongings & helped me load it all up. I am very much looking forward to having my kitties spend more time with these two wonderful cat sitters - even when I don’t need a sitter - bc I want them to get more human and kitty interaction and I believe MacKenzie and Jacob’s home is the ideal environment. They are lovely, kind-hearted sitters who will give my babies the love and patience they need to become less feral and become the 2 house cats I need them to be.”

About: Through out my life I've had several different furry friends (and fish!). I have worked with all kinds of animals from ones that love to run and play to ones that would prefer to lounge around all day! My fur baby, Dodge, is a mix of the two so im sure to cater to each side of him by providing different types of enrichment and trainings for each mood. I take my puppy to the community dog park everyday for at least an hour. In addition my apartment is right across from Lake Michigan and a walking trail that my dog and I frequent in the evenings. About: Please only request if your dog is crate trained! They will only be in there briefly if I have to leave and overnight while sleeping (my two dogs take up most of the bed, so it is hard to fit a third unless they are tiny). I’ve been caring for/around animals my entire life. I have two small dogs and two cats of my own. Caring for them has taught me so much and made my love for animals stronger. Both my dogs and my cats are pretty laid back and enjoy sleeping most of the day. I am patient with any animal, and can adjust to any of their needs! About: My pet care experience consists of having a dog throughout my childhood and adult years. I've always loved the companionship of owning a dog and also visiting or babysitting families and friends' dogs/cats. With having a dog comes a lot of responsibility and attention whether that's feeding, letting outside, physical activity, and training. I'm experienced in all of those qualities. The pet care that I will be using through the new dogs and cats I meet are the basics of giving treats, going for walks, and playing fetch or ball. Those basics are important and useful for dog caregivers because any dog would love the attention and care that you are giving them unconditionally. I'm also experienced in grooming with bathing the pet if needed. Whether that's outside with a hose and soap or inside in a bathtub. Dogs are my best friends and should be treated with love and companionship therefore I would treat the dog and make sure they are happy and comfortable but also safe and calm at all times. My schedule is very flexible and in the case of babysitting or walking a dog, I will be attentive and responsible. Since I currently have a dog at home I take her outside frequently, stay outside with her and walk around the backyard or throw a toy and play fetch or even just sit in the grass and give her belly rubs. My daily routine consists of letting my dog outside and hanging out with her off and on while also letting her have time to rest and chill by herself. My weekly routine is the same as my daily routine aside from additional car rides, pup cups, or cousin visits with other dogs. The safety, trust & Environment of the care for the pet in my home and or my client's home will consist of making sure all doors are shut when entering and exiting the home or garage. Also making sure the dog is on a leash and well equipped when walking through a neighborhood. I also have a fenced-in yard so I'm experienced with fences and the proper precautions if needed. I can easily create your dog too if needed. Also water supply and refilling the water bowl as needed and giving supplements or medicine also. Also will have the clients contact information in case of emergency.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs, friends and family, and neighbor's pet(s), I have also traveled across the US to pet-sit. My experience speaks for itself but I’m a huge pet lover and welcome two and four-legged pets with open arms! I have the availability and flexibility to take care of your pet anytime during the daytime and nighttime! Will do my best to accommodate your pet(s) everyday schedule. When it comes to your pet(s) it’s your designation as how you would like me to offer my services. About: Owned animals my entire life, and overall want animals to be able to live the happy and comfortable life they deserve. I treat animals like family! I work/ have other commitments, but am fortunate to have a flexible schedule and work irregular hours so during the day often works for my schedule. I also have transportation for your convenience. I treat animals as friends and look to care for them with attention and affection. I prefer not to board often, but I reside on a farm with plenty of open land as well as a timber area for additional exercise and enrichment!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats, reptiles, and fish from the ripe age of 10! I have had animals from the size of teacup yorkies to the size of Rottweilers so size doesn’t challenge me. I currently work full time Sunday-Wednesday and find myself with a lot of free time the rest of the week so I’d love to get to play and help with your best friend as much as I’m able to get I am able to follow all the rules you provide with your best friend and am able to accommodate with any requests to keep you stress free!
About: I have cared for dogs for over 25 years. I started pet sitting at 10 years old. Your pet will be truly loved and cared for with me in my home. I only work during the school year. I am off over the summer. I am home and able to care for your pet 24/7. I can also come to your home and even stay overnight with your pets. I spend a lot of time with them, and give them many cuddles, and even allow your dogs to sleep with me, if that is what you do at your home. Your dog will truly be loved and cared for with me. I also am really well trained at giving dogs medications if needed. I am able to care for cats, but I am not able to care for them in my home. I am able to come to your home and care for your kittens, or cats. I can also administer medications to cats. I have experience with birds. If you have any type of bird living in your home, I can come to your home and care for them, feed them, give them fresh water. I work three hours a day. I work from 7am to 9:30am, then I am free the entire day. If I pick up extra shifts, it's only an hour and a half long. I will be available all day, and also available on the weekends anytime. We have a fenced in yard for our dog Emmy, and if your dog comes to stay, they will be safe in the backyard, and will also be monitored by me while they're in the backyard. There is always someone home, so your dogs will never be lonely. Emmy LOVES to cuddle, and will play with your pet and make them feel welcome. Any dog that comes to my home, I separate dogs for feeding time, so there are no boundary issues. Your dog will be very loved here, and very safe with us. We do allow dogs onto furniture, and they are allowed on our bed, since Emmy sleeps with us at night. If you allow that with your dog, they are welcome to sleep with us and allowed on our furniture. I will follow whatever instructions you may have for your dogs.
About: I have always had dogs growing up. Now I have 3 of my own! I do have extensive history caring for dogs outside of my own, I have worked in a shelter environment for quite some time. I do have complete experience in knowing how to manage multiple dogs and multiple dog personalities and breeds. I will care for your dog beyond measure and show them so much love! About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. As a child, I had pet sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats, and cows. As an adult, I have always had cats. My 20 year old long hair cat just passed away in January. It was heartbreaking. I miss him dearly. We loved our guy so much. In his last 5 yrs, I spent many hours catering to his elderly issues. Medications and night yowling were issues that I happily took care of as he lived out his twilight years. I have a soft spot for all animals as they go through all stages of life :) I work from home and set my own hours, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I am open to many kinds of arrangements- one time sitting, a weekly routine, daily walks, weekends, etc. I am extremely fortunate to have a flexible schedule. My teen daughter and I live in a large 4 bedroom home, so we have tons of space to accommodate furry friends who need company. We do not have a fenced in yard, but our neighborhood is great for long walks. Our neighborhood has trails through the woods and a home owner’s association that maintains the trails. We have lots of fun walking the trails. I am an avid jogger/walker. I go out everyday, regardless of the weather. I have a very active lifestyle! We recently adopted a cat, but he stays in his own area on a different level of the house. He has claimed my daughter as his and lives in her room. When dogs come to stay with us, he typically stays in his room & pups never see him, although he has made friends with some of our regularly visiting pups 😊 I have a very flexible work schedule. When I do have to be away from home for work, I am gone about 2-3 hrs at a time. My daughter is at home often and also helps with pups. She is great with animals! We both like to take frequent walks throughout the day! In my home, I have a large open floor plan with tons of windows. During the day, I like to have pups next to me in my office, but some like to lay in prime viewing area of all the windows.
