About: I have own 4 dog over the years. I had them from pups to senior. Most of the time they are in the back yard but they were given love and plenty of attention. With the lose of my last dog I have decided not to own any more but take care of a ferret instead. They are just as much of a hand full as a dog is but smaller then a dog. I do still like dogs but with how thing are own a new one would be heart breaking if I lose it so I have decided to help dog owners with the care of their dog and rover is the platform that help matching me with dog owners that are looking some I work flexible hours. About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. As a child, I had pet sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats, and cows. As an adult, I have always had cats. My 20 year old long hair cat just passed away in January. It was heartbreaking. I miss him dearly. We loved our guy so much. In his last 5 yrs, I spent many hours catering to his elderly issues. Medications and night yowling were issues that I happily took care of as he lived out his twilight years. I have a soft spot for all animals as they go through all stages of life :) I work from home and set my own hours, so my schedule is extremely flexible. My teen daughter and I live in a large 4 bedroom home, so we have tons of space to accommodate furry friends who need company. We recently adopted a cat, but he stays in his own area on a different level of the house. He has claimed my daughter as his and lives in her room. When dogs come to stay with us, he typically stays in his room & pups never see him, although he has made friends with some of our regularly visiting pups 😊 I have a very flexible work schedule. When I do have to be away from home for work, I am gone about 2-3 hrs at a time. My daughter is at home often and also helps with pups. She is great with animals! We both like to take frequent walks throughout the day! In my home, I have a large open floor plan with tons of windows. During the day, I like to have pups next to me in my office, but some like to lay in prime viewing area of all the windows.

“I like taking my dog (Millie) to Rachelle for overnight stay and for several nights’ stay. Rachelle is considerate and kind to us and my dog. She is caring. She updates us about our dog, sends pictures and asks our opinion about how our dog would react to the environment like in the case of a storm so she can attend to our dog appropriately. I feel confident that my dog is getting great care with Rachelle. I am also sure that my dog is having fun with Rachelle and her dog Rizzo. The last time I dropped off Millie at Rachelle’s house she was eager to enter the house that she literally dragged me towards the door.”
About: I used to volunteer at an animal shelter, and I learned how to attentively take instructions when it came to the care of an animal. I have dealt with dogs and cats that have digestive issues, as well as knowing my way around taking care of (oral) medication. I am also used to dogs or cats that need daily exercise or some that are very energetic and need a lot of attention. Before moving to New Mexico, I had two dogs, and I was always keen on keeping them safe + well taken care of, but most importantly, checking that they were always happy and healthy. And I would be honored to take care of your pet in the same manner. Because I am searching for work, all of my time is dedicated to Rover at the moment. I am available every day of the week. I have a two bedroom apartment and two cats, so I cannot board any fur babies in my home unless you are absolutely sure they are okay around cats.
