“I can confidently say that I found a sitter that I have wanted for a long time - someone who is responsible, caring, and responsive. I could easily tell that Amita and her family are good people who genuinely care about animals and dogs that visit for boarding. She sent me pictures of Teddy (my dog's name) every day with long messages on how he is doing, where he slept, and what he is up to at the moment. Also, one of the most important criteria for me was whether a sitter has enough space for Teddy to run around and enjoy time with a sitter and/or other dogs. Amita's place was HUGE with a fenced yard, and all of her dogs were extremely friendly, not only to people (as in me) but also to Teddy. I highly recommend Amita for those who have dogs that like playing with others, taking a walk, and swimming (Amita's place had a small pond where dogs could play). I have tried many dog sitters, whether on Rover or through friends. As much as I love my dog, I had so many instances in which I could easily notice red flags (e.g., Teddy coming back sick with his own diarrhea on his leg (meaning that the sitter did not even care to clean his legs), sending pictures for the first couple of days and going silent, not wanting to share the exact location of the boarding place, etc). Amita has been the best so far among many I have experienced! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ll take good care of your fur babies, like they’re my own. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. What sets me apart is that I will not neglect your pet. We are available at all times to ensure that your dog is well cared for and given the attention he/she deserves. Will have access to a big backyard to run around in and stretch out their legs or if they just simply want to enjoy the sunshine for a bit. It will be like a vacation for them, while you enjoy your trip knowing that your furbaby is in good hands. We are home weekly and are able to care for your dog as they are our own. Can feed dogs specialty food, walk your dog and even throw a ball if they like that. Can give medication if needed for older dogs.

About: I've had cats since I was a baby, so I've been around them quite a bit. I haven't necessarily watched a cat before but I have lots of experience taking care of them. About: My experience with dogs has ranged from personal ownership: (raised with two mixed breeds, and owned a WHIPPET for fourteen years), to boarding dogs, to working at a doggie daycare, and working for a dog walking company. If your pup likes swimming, we have a pond they can take a dip in during the hot summer months. I'm available for the animals nearly 24/7 with the exception to times I go into town for errands. I usually crate feed my current dogs twice a day but I can adjust times as needed. My dogs and other dogs I watch use a doggy door open to a large fenced-in area on the farm. I can also take dogs out through the doors if they’re unaccustomed to or unable to use an automatic doggy door. I take my dogs off-leash on walks in our woods and can do that or keep them leashed. Animals are welcome to sleep on our furniture (what ours do frequently) but I have crates available if this is preferred. If your dogs love to play with other dogs, they can play with mine, but I can keep them separate from my critters if they prefer their own space.

About: For the last 10-12 years I have cared for not only my own animals, but friends, family, neighbors and employers. As a nanny for a few different families, they each had 1-2 family dogs they entrusted with me with, alongside their children. I have house/pet sit for multiple days in a row without any issue. They soon feel safe and cared for in our home. I am a stay-at-home mother of 3 girls. I have a lot of flexibility in my day-to-day schedule. Between school drop off and pick-up, I am able to move freely about my day. My large backyard is fenced to help keep animals close by. I have space indoors if a crate is needed. My personal dog is very accommodating to other dogs and cats being in and around our home. My children are also very understanding of boundaries and love the animals.
About: I have taken care of animals of all sorts most of my life. From typical to exotic house pets, as well as many farm animals. I am very active, comfortable doing over a dozen miles a day. About: I’ve always loved being around animals. From playing vet tech to walking my friends dogs while they’re at work, I’ve always been good with animals. I have a super open schedule right now and don’t mind early mornings or late nights. About: I have lived on a farm my entire life. From 4-H to working on my family farm, I have been raised to love more animals than just dogs and cats. Now that I live away from home, I don't get to spend much time with animals and would love to share some of the love I have with your pets! I am currently working very flexible hours as a wildland firefighter. When I am in town, I am typically available every two to four hours. About: Ever since middle school I've been dog sitting or running over to friends or family's houses to let their dogs out for them while I give them loves as well so they don't feel down I currently work part time at Dutch bros coffee downtown Lewiston so I'm in a pretty neutral location, I work about 4-5 days a week and will never have a shift longer than 6 hours. I always keep an eye on the fur babies while outside fenced or because anything could happen, I give pets love and attention when I see them to help them maintain a happy mood while their owner is gone.

“I can confidently say that I found a sitter that I have wanted for a long time - someone who is responsible, caring, and responsive. I could easily tell that Amita and her family are good people who genuinely care about animals and dogs that visit for boarding. She sent me pictures of Teddy (my dog's name) every day with long messages on how he is doing, where he slept, and what he is up to at the moment. Also, one of the most important criteria for me was whether a sitter has enough space for Teddy to run around and enjoy time with a sitter and/or other dogs. Amita's place was HUGE with a fenced yard, and all of her dogs were extremely friendly, not only to people (as in me) but also to Teddy. I highly recommend Amita for those who have dogs that like playing with others, taking a walk, and swimming (Amita's place had a small pond where dogs could play). I have tried many dog sitters, whether on Rover or through friends. As much as I love my dog, I had so many instances in which I could easily notice red flags (e.g., Teddy coming back sick with his own diarrhea on his leg (meaning that the sitter did not even care to clean his legs), sending pictures for the first couple of days and going silent, not wanting to share the exact location of the boarding place, etc). About: I had a Pharaoh hound growing up for 15 years and lost her to cancer 4 years ago. I love going on walks, and I'm looking for some new companions to join me! I just got my bachelors degree in Zoology, and I've always been passionate about working with animals throughout my life.
