“I can confidently say that I found a sitter that I have wanted for a long time - someone who is responsible, caring, and responsive. I could easily tell that Amita and her family are good people who genuinely care about animals and dogs that visit for boarding. She sent me pictures of Teddy (my dog's name) every day with long messages on how he is doing, where he slept, and what he is up to at the moment. Also, one of the most important criteria for me was whether a sitter has enough space for Teddy to run around and enjoy time with a sitter and/or other dogs. Amita's place was HUGE with a fenced yard, and all of her dogs were extremely friendly, not only to people (as in me) but also to Teddy. I highly recommend Amita for those who have dogs that like playing with others, taking a walk, and swimming (Amita's place had a small pond where dogs could play). I have tried many dog sitters, whether on Rover or through friends. As much as I love my dog, I had so many instances in which I could easily notice red flags (e.g., Teddy coming back sick with his own diarrhea on his leg (meaning that the sitter did not even care to clean his legs), sending pictures for the first couple of days and going silent, not wanting to share the exact location of the boarding place, etc). Amita has been the best so far among many I have experienced! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ll take good care of your fur babies, like they’re my own. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. What sets me apart is that I will not neglect your pet. We are available at all times to ensure that your dog is well cared for and given the attention he/she deserves. Will have access to a big backyard to run around in and stretch out their legs or if they just simply want to enjoy the sunshine for a bit. It will be like a vacation for them, while you enjoy your trip knowing that your furbaby is in good hands. We are home weekly and are able to care for your dog as they are our own. About: I've had cats since I was a baby, so I've been around them quite a bit. I haven't necessarily watched a cat before but I have lots of experience taking care of them. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs ever since I was a young girl. Nieghbor’s, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and simply give their pet attention. About: I have had dogs and cats for many years and love them dearly. When asked if I have children, I always state, "Yes, some with fur and some without." I'm always looking for dog care when I travel and know what a hassle it can be as well as a large expense. I've often cared for animals of family and friends and have had a great time with them. I'm hoping to be able to open my home to others when they are away so that I can provide good care for their dogs or cats at a reasonable price - just like I would want for my own when I am out of town. I am self-employed with a flexible schedule and I'm home quite a bit so I thought dog or cat sitting would be an excellent way to meet new furry friends and help out others who are in my shoes. I have a large fenced-in area for potty breaks, play, and exercise but my house is large enough to accomodate dogs and/cats in separate areas. Taking dogs walking is also something I enjoy and would be able to do quite simply as we live on a 140 acre farm. If your pup likes swimming, we have a pond they can take a dip in during the hot summer months. I'm available for the animals nearly 24/7 with the exception to times I go into town for errands. I usually crate feed my current dogs twice a day but I can adjust times as needed. My dogs and other dogs I watch use a doggy door open to a large fenced-in area on the farm. I can also take dogs out through the doors if they’re unaccustomed to or unable to use an automatic doggy door. I take my dogs off-leash on walks in our woods and can do that or keep them leashed. Animals are welcome to sleep on our furniture (what ours do frequently) but I have crates available if this is preferred. If your dogs love to play with other dogs, they can play with mine, but I can keep them separate from my critters if they prefer their own space.

About: My experience with dogs has ranged from personal ownership: (raised with two mixed breeds, and owned a WHIPPET for fourteen years), to boarding dogs, to working at a doggie daycare, and working for a dog walking company. Currently I am a stay at home mom to three kids- so I am home most of the time, including weekends. If I do step out, for errands, appointments, and such, I will absolutely make sure your pet has had enough walks/potty breaks. We have a fenced yard, and a great neighborhood for walking. About: I’ve taken care of a good amount of breeds from huskies to chihuahuas. I have loved every single one that it melts my heart every time i see them. I have a dog of my own and she’s a sassy silly lazy girl. I enjoy cuddling with dogs and just having fun with them. About: I’ve worked for dog breakers and have been a pet sitter dozens of times. I love spending time with animals and always treat them with the best care. I work 6am-2pm Monday-friday, but am able to take off work or get a substitute when needed. If you need someone watching your animal for 1-5 days, I can fit that in with my work schedule. I unfortunately live in an apartment, so taking the dog or cat will be hard, but I have no problem going to someone’s house to check/take care/watch your animal!

About: I have taken care of animals of all sorts most of my life. From typical to exotic house pets, as well as many farm animals. I am very active, comfortable doing over a dozen miles a day. I have an assertive yet calm demeanor. Animals like me and I like them :) Our time is valuable, please note that if 24 hour care is needed my rate will be 240/day to account for opportunity costs. 30 dollar refunable deposit for meet and greet will be given back on completion of service 🙏. I will also need to account for the extra time added for the day of drop off/pick up in cases where a full day of service are not being accounted for on the Rover app, though there is more room for flexibility on the latter :) . I will spend around 9-11 hours at your home for typical house sitting which provides many caring hours with our furry friends, a trustworthy presence throughout the night, keeping the house in order, watering plants, collecting mail, and time for me to still work and have a life throughout the daytime 🙏🤗😉. The downstairs apartment of our home was turned into a dog palace with one room dedicated to kitties. My niece lives with me and she is a vet tech at a Lewiston vet clinic. She is very helpful with my doggy daycare and boarding. I also have a 16yr old who is absolutely amazing with animals. Meet and greets are always welcome! “I can confidently say that I found a sitter that I have wanted for a long time - someone who is responsible, caring, and responsive. I could easily tell that Amita and her family are good people who genuinely care about animals and dogs that visit for boarding. She sent me pictures of Teddy (my dog's name) every day with long messages on how he is doing, where he slept, and what he is up to at the moment. Also, one of the most important criteria for me was whether a sitter has enough space for Teddy to run around and enjoy time with a sitter and/or other dogs. Amita's place was HUGE with a fenced yard, and all of her dogs were extremely friendly, not only to people (as in me) but also to Teddy. I highly recommend Amita for those who have dogs that like playing with others, taking a walk, and swimming (Amita's place had a small pond where dogs could play). I have tried many dog sitters, whether on Rover or through friends. As much as I love my dog, I had so many instances in which I could easily notice red flags (e.g., Teddy coming back sick with his own diarrhea on his leg (meaning that the sitter did not even care to clean his legs), sending pictures for the first couple of days and going silent, not wanting to share the exact location of the boarding place, etc).
